Ordered 2 pumpkin spice fraps with soy milk but came out to be 2 pumpkin spice lattes. Funny thing was that my cousin saw that they used regular milk instead of soy milk(mind you, I’m SUPER lactose intolerant so if my cousin didn’t catch that, Id be done for) and she asked the barista if what she put in there was soy milk or not. The barista rudely replied yes to her but my cousin said she clearly saw her put in reg milk. All the barista could say was«oh.» And she proceeded to redo the drinks. I know you guys are super busy but please be more attentive to the drink orders…

I hope this is the Sac State Starbucks near the theatre building, because everyone that works at this SB amazing! I’ve been at Sac State for 1.5 years now and am graduating in December, I’ll be sad I won’t be in these 25+ people lines because they seem to move faster than lines of 5 – 10 at any other Starbucks! These students hustle, they are happy, and they deserve big time gratuity! I’ve come here at least 3 days a week over the last year and a half and have had only one messed up drink(too many shots vs. pumps), which I waited in a line of 20 to get fixed and the wait wasn’t long at at all. I wish I could give this Starbucks 6 stars. Expect smiles, fast service, and tip! Can’t believe 1 stars are getting thrown at this place! In my opinion, if they are nice when you don’t get what you want, or when they mess up and give you a voucher, they deserve more than 1 star. 1 star should be warranted by someone throwing a drink in your wannabe entitled face!

I also think it’s silly that this Starbucks doesn’t accept rewards. If I have to buy 12 drinks(averaging at 5 dollars per drink) which is 60 dollars just to get ONE free drink, then I don’t understand why rewards are not offered at this location. This is on a college campus. College students could probably use this the most, just saying.

It took literally half an hour to get a drink that was not even made correctly. If you can avoid this Starbucks you will want to. I’d honestly wait for a different location.

A typical Starbucks, always super busy because it’s only 1 of 5 coffee shops on campus. Whenever I’m here there is always a bunch of people working in the back helping the line move quickly and someone always sweeping up and/or stocking the sugars and creams. The coffee itself is great but i can’t speak for the whole menu as I just drink black coffee straight up or Americanos(i’m trying to keep an eye on my sugar intake) For a place that is busy as it always is, the place in general is kept clean and tidy. I never had an issue with their drinks or their employees.

Waiting in line a second time hoping they do free refill at this location. Conversation goes: HI, I’m wondering if this location does that free refills? No we don’t. Oh do you mind throwing this away for me. *points*actually there are trash cans all around you can throw them away right in the middle. … Point is that this wasn’t going above and beyond for a customer who was refused a service all other Starbucks have… Her tone was nice but she didn’t know how to hand unfortunate situations. I always have problems. Here. Once they forgot my drink. Another got the wrong drink. 3rd time at this location. I’m just going to go to Java city.

The worst Starbucks I’ve been too, and that says a lot. I’ve been to many different Starbucks around Sacramento and this one is the worst of all. First of all the customer service is terrible. The student workers are the ones contributing to that factor. They are constantly messing up orders and I feel as if they’ve never had previous barista jobs prior to this one. Understanding they are student and also have problems in their lives, this is also a REAL job and should be treated like none other.

This Starbucks sucks so bad! Coffee taste so nasty! It’s not even coffee anymore. My caramel latte tastes like water. Worst Starbucks ever.

Not a very happy staff. They’re mostly students and they have attitudes. Constantly confused on orders and butchering names. Wish there was real, nicer baristas. This is the only Starbucks on campus, unfortunately. Seems like all the coffee places on campus are filled with irritated workers. Even at Java City. Don’t recommend this Starbucks to anyone.

Unprofessional and rude. Student to student, we are still watching all of your interactions while standing in this very long line. The employees interactions with eachother and about each other are very unprofessional. I see that they are talking badly about how the cashiers are writing their abbreviations for the sinks on the cups and telling every single employee around them one after another and giggling about it. When an employee asks an employee if they would like to change something since they are out don’t mock their answers, I.e. their«no». This is my second time and I have had a very spur experience this time. I will continue to go to the buzz since their customer service is so much better.

Finally getting a Starbucks on campus is definitely a dream come true. It’s a good thing, because I love Starbucks. But a bad, thing because I’m trying to save money. Haha, but very satisfied nonetheless. The employees there are mostly students, plus they’re new! So, it’s going to take awhile for everything to get seasoned in. Calm the hate! Always allow at least 15 minutes when going here… there’s almost always a rush. Line goes fast, but it’s waiting for your order that can take awhile. The area is quite spacious. Great place to meet up with friends. Not really recommend studying here especially during rush because it can get pretty noisy. One thing though, they really need to turn down the AC. Seriously.

Worst Starbucks ever. The employees hug and chat with each other instead of making your drink. Unless you have an hour to wait for a coffee and enjoy poor attitudes, go to Java City.

FYI: Starbucks locations which are located inside Target, airports, Safeway, and now Sac state are considered«licensed stores». Meaning they are NOT Starbucks employees(they’re either target, Safeway, airport, or Sac state employees). That’s why you do not get the same cool experience as a regular Starbucks. They might not offer the same items, are more expensive, and do not honor rewards.

I come in here every so often and there is always a long wait, but that is understandable because it is on a college campus. I order a Caramel Machiatto and when I got it I tasted the shots that were put into it and I knew immediately that they were dead shots. The barista let them sit in the shot glasses too long before she put it in my drink. It tastes horrible. As I continue to drink I can actually taste the water that they used for the shots and the water is gross. I wanted to give this starbucks one more shot but there are too many batistas and none of them know how to make each drink as soon as they see the cup. I am a ex-barista and I will NOT be visiting again!

Every time I come to this location I have to wait 25 – 30 minutes for a drink even when they’re not busy! Which is ridiculous for Starbucks, let alone a Starbucks on campus meant for students who are trying to go to class. The last time I went in, I ordered a simple black tea, and had to wait 25 minutes for it. When I got it it tasted like sugar water. Not sure how you can make tea wrong, but I asked them to remake it because otherwise it would have gone in the trash. Three different people remade it and it still tastes the same. This is a drink I order all the time for other Starbucks, and make at home so I know how it’s supposed to taste.

I haven’t stepped foot in a Java City or Ecogrounds ever since the birth of the Starbucks here in the River Front Center! Of course it’s natural for everyone to flock to the newest addition on campus, and that means long lines. I allow myself ample amount of time to grab a drink so that I don’t have to rush to class. However, every time I’ve gone, the line goes surprisingly fast. With that said, the wait to order your drink is shorter than the wait to receive the drink. One morning, I found it hilarious to see 2 – 3 people making drinks, and FOUR people on registers(two people ringing up, and two additional people helping them write the order on the cups.). And in regards to their customer service here — yeah people are going to complain, but people complain at every Starbucks, don’t they? This campus location is employed entirely by students, so maybe that’s why students can easily spot attitude from a fellow student. Regardless, people still come back… They have made all of my drinks correctly so far, which is relieving. I was just a little disappointed to find out that they wouldn’t redeem my Gold Card rewards, but at least I can earn stars here! Most of all, the location is SO convenient and I am ashamed to say that most of my breakfasts and caffeine fixes in my last year at Sac State may just be from this new location.

All the employees here should be fired. Rude and their attitudes stink. They all complain about the music and the cashier guy just didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. Starbucks should take over the hiring of this particular Starbucks and fire everyone here. I really wish the customer service was better here.

It seemed like this Starbucks was made overnight. I never even heard word that this former print shop was eventually going to be replaced by the coffee staple of America. I wish luck to the other coffee shops on campus… Sure enough, my first visit inside this branch proved to be a hectic one — filled with Sac State students getting their caffeine fix before running in late to their classes. Am I right? Half joking ~ The line goes by rather quickly, though. The baristas are friendly and seem to work efficiently. The place still looks clean and well maintained; you can definitely tell it’s new. Hopefully they can keep that up for as long as they’re here. I can see this being the ultimate social spot for students on campus. If you’re looking to be productive, I don’t recommend saving a table here with your study-buddy. You’re better off at the AIRC, the Union, or maybe even the more low-key coffee shops on campus like Java City or Ecogrounds.

Today I ordered a iced vanilla chai drink and a blueberry scone. I was almost given a blueberry muffin had I not corrected the barista and when I was given my drink it didn’t have vanilla in it. So I asked the guy to add it in and he accidentally put hazelnut which tasted awful.
