I loved going to this place for the aloe drinks, but the door guy is a creep. Sure he acts like he knows me, but all he wanted to talk about was me getting drunk. Goodbye blessed pomagranete aloe juice, may we meet again when the door keeper finds better things to talk about than former customers.

We went for happy hour on a Friday. Its in Old Sac so expect to pay for parking or look for parking with meters. We reserved the VIP room. The room was nice, but it could probably fit 10 people at most. It was 100 degrees outside and it was hot inside the room too. They gave us a fan but with all that body heat it kept us comfortable as long as we didn’t move. The fruit platter was free. The food was pretty good but the drinks were kind of watered down. The floor was gross. The music selection could use an upgrade. Customer service was great, very friendly. Overall we had FUN!!! We will be back.

During my entire time in college I’ve been looking for a good karaōke place in Sacramento and of course I don’t find it until after I graduate. I’ve been trying to come here for months but either my plans didn’t work out or this place had an event and was closed to the public. Be warned, CALLAHEAD to make sure they’re open to the public. You don’t need a reservation for smaller groups but they’ll close for things like the Pacquiao Mayweather fight. Sky KTV is located in Old Sac so depending on the time of day you come you can park at the lot for a few bucks an hour, or do meter parking right out front. At night the parking garage becomes a flat $ 5 rate but meter parking is free if you’re lucky enough to find some. Sky KTV is probably the only decent karaōke place in all of Sac. I’ve tried a few of them and this is the only one that felt clean, had a easy to use and well organized system with a lot of songs, and an interior that reminded me of a mini Vegas lounge. The service is also pretty nice and they even give you some fruit if you are doing karaōke(we got a plate of watermelon, pineapple, and oranges). We also got a pitcher of Mango Fizzy Soju for $ 18. It was pretty good though not very strong. After 2 cups I felt like I had about half a shot’s worth of alcohol. I did however have 3 issues with this place: 1) The price. It’s steep compared to anywhere you go(other Sac locations, socal, Asia, etc.) You can purchase a groupon online that’ll give you 2 hours for $ 30 though which is not a bad deal but 2 hours just isn’t enough time. Still I think the quality is worth it if you have the money to splurge 2) The microphone system. I’m not sure what was up for it but the feedback was awful. It was constantly screeching but not super loudly but consistently enough where we found it annoying. 3) The sound proofing. At night the outdoor lobby area becomes a small nightclub and the music is VERY loud. The general soundproofing in the room already isn’t great(you can easily hear everything) but it became a problem when they were blaring music outside and you could feel the bass going through the room. After we finished with karaōke my friend really wanted to stay to go «clubbing» and I say that in quotation marks because it really is a makeshift looking club. The area is small and it doesn’t seem like there was a dress code. You’ll get people in tight dresses and people with t-shirts and jeans on. The security was nice about letting us back in after we showed our IDs. The crowd that night was pretty thin. Definitely not a «big city» club kind of feel which is nice cause I hate crowds but bad cause I felt awkward. The crowd was generally a bit older than«college student» age too and I’m pretty sure my group of post-grads were still the youngest people in the room. Also despite the pseudo-classy interior, the crowd was anything but. Within the 45 minutes-ish time I was there I saw a guy drunkedly lose his shoe repeatedly. Another drunk guy drop a glass on the middle of the dance floor. A couple«fall» on top of each other and start… doing their thing. And a whole lot of GRINDING(which is similar to grinding but done a lot more… passionately). However the music was good and fun to dance to. They played more rap/hip-hop kind of stuff versus the typical college EDM stuff. Overall, I really like this spot. I don’t know if I’d go out of my way to go clubbing here but I’d definitely return for the karaōke.

I was pleasantly surprised by the nice look, cleanliness, and reasonable drinks prices. Got a complementary fruit tray and I was told the bar food was good. Parking was easy. Good song selection even if searching for them was a little tough. There’s a DJ and a dance floor which was essentially empty at 10 on a Saturday. Downfalls: small hot private rooms. Disconcerting security pat downs and then coming into our room later to stamp us. Inconsistent clothing rules re: hoods. We got 5 minutes notice before they were closed down. Staff did not seem like they wanted to be there. Overall I think it’s a good value but certainly not super fancy if that’s what you’re looking for.

Monday night karaōke(farewell Kevin K.!). Located next to Fat City on Front Street, take the stairs down. Calling ahead for reservations was easy. Had a Groupon(2 hours for $ 40) which I used from 8pm-10pm. Happy hour is until 9pm I believe which is also half off(regular private room rates are $ 38/hr for standard, seats 10 – 12 somewhat comfortably) so it was still a deal for the last hour we were there. Happy hour is also $ 2 off drinks and food except soju, no discounts on pitchers. I tried the Sky-Dori. Complimentary small fruit plate for the room. We had already eaten beforehand at Cellar Bistro so didn’t try any of their food items here. You could order drinks at the bar or for the room, everyone must get ID checked. Party of 5, we got 2 microphones and the girl showed us how to navigate the touchscreen menus. Still took some figuring out but at least it didn’t keep freezing up like at Oishii. Weird how some seating was located directly under the big screen though. The rooms aren’t that soundproof, in that when coming back from the restroom it was very obvious which room was ours… though that could also be due to other reasons. Definitely newer and cleaner than RuRuLaLa, I like it and it’s not expensive at all. Since it’s in Old Sac it’s also closer of a drive for me! Had a good time, song choices were good, most of the ones we were looking for/wanting were there. Whether you’re more Muse than musical showtunes, Queen over Disney Princesses, guilty pleasure GaGa or rapping like Jay-Z or Iggy, come try out SKYKTV! Same parking situation: street meters enforced until 8pm(2 hour max), or parking garages can be validated(validation $ 5 off, $ 7-$ 9 max charge). If you don’t like to sing, I’d say buy a drink and let some of that liquid courage work its magic, otherwise be relegated to being the Vanna White in charge of the song playlists.

At first I was skeptical because it was in Old Sacramento and the outside was sketch but once we stepped in super nice very clean .love the private rooms in the back area was great outside to smoke in. the food was good great. The prices and also the room rental good deals on Groupon and Unilocal + the happy hours. will definitely plan to come back again even possibly throw some parties lol. Drinks are good too even the the pitcher of cocktails I thought it would be really light but it did the job lol can’t go wrong with $ 16 pitcher cocktails! Also really good customer service they probably checkd on us every 15 min 20 minutes which was just right and we only waited for our room less than 10 minutes but they have a dance floor and bar area Hangout. It does get pretty hot in there but if you ask I’ll give you a fan for the room suggest light clothing lol

Nice décor, little overpriced. Update — décor is nice BUT once we sat in the private rooms, the couches had no cushion at all and the rooms were hot. They had a small rotating fan inside but AC would have been better. They didn’t seem to have an updated karaōke list so that sucked. no pitchers of beer but had some strawberry margarita that obviously lacked taste. I wouldn’t mind coming here if a must in old sac. The open karaōke area would be a better bet

Went here for my cousin’s bday party for a late night singing in January. Nice people and service. It’s a dancing club on Friday n Saturday looked cool inside. Will have to try going on a clubbing night. But Good thing it was happy hour… my younger brother is 20, so when it hit 9pm we were kicked out They charged us $ 35 or so for an hour and a half of karaōke time… we’ll give them one more try.

I was not impressed with Sky KTV. The rooms are small and the Karaōke machines are hard to figure out. We reserved a room and had a group of 10 people. There was hardly enough room for everyone to sit down and it felt a little claustrophobic. When one of the staff members took us into the room, we were not shown how to use the karaōke machine and it was difficult at first to find the songs people wanted to sing. We didn’t know what songs we were selecting and we didn’t know how to search for a song title or artist. I will give them three stars because the staff was great with the drinks. They had a lot of yummy cocktails that you could order in pitchers for everyone to share! Towards the end of our session one of the staff came in and offered us a pitcher of water which was nice. We had fun at Sky KTV but it was frustrating not being able to work the karaōke machine and pick the songs we wanted to sing.

I came here last night to karaōke with some friends. It was a different vibe since there was a dance floor outside from the karaōke rooms. They check ID when you get in, so it’s 21+ only. Also, they check your bags. We thought the rooms were soundproof… however, it wasn’t. We can hear the people next door loud and clear. The songs selections were cool, but the new songs… I have no idea who these people were haha! What happened to the new hit songs that we know? or the ones that’s on the radio. It was cool how we have«servers» but for the fact that they keep checking up on us to see how we were doing every 10 – 15 mins was a total buzzkill. NOT only the servers keep checking up on us, but security did too… and I even spotted them looking in from the little window on the door to check on us… like dudes… chill. We ordered food and the service was fast. They also give you complementary fruits. Overall, it was an okay experience. I had a lot of fun with my friends, but with the place… I’m not too sure. I do recommend the malibu mai tai from the bar though.

There are only a very few karaōke bars in Sacramento and I love this one because there is also a bar and dance floor with a few small booths in the back. The food and service is great. Depending on the night it may get pretty packed. The music is mostly hip-hop so it does attract a younger crowd that enjoys listening to hip hop music. Pros: There is a back patio that is very spacious with chairs and tables under little huts for smokers, a breath of fresh air or more space to mingle. Foods not bad for being at a Karaōke bar due to it not being a restaurant at all. Customer service has been quick to attending when needed Cons: The karaōke rooms can get very stuffy and not enough circulation Due to the genre of music played and the crowd it attracts, it may become a little routy. **There had been coupons on Groupon and Unilocal as well at a discounted price for Karaōke rooms. So always check for a coupon or deal being offered!

FUNFUNFUN!!! I reserved a standard room for 2 hours on a Friday night. We ended up needing an extra hour because everyone kept wanting to sing. LOL Private karaōke rooms are the best. No shame in anyone’s singing game! We went through 2 mic changes(just needed new batteries) but the staff was quick to fix that, and 2 sets of instructions on how to use the video touch-screen monitor(my memory goes after a couple drinks). Song selection(and lots of alcohol!) is key to a successful karaōke night. We found every song we were looking for except for Digital Underground’s «Humpty Dance.» Sound system is great(and volume adjustable) but there were a few songs that played the elevator music version of songs(we had to skip the Tupac Musak). Since 6−9pm is happy hour(basically $ 2 off food and drinks), we ordered everything off of the appetizer menu. Everything was deep fried, except for the fruit, and everything was really tasty. The bar had a limited selection of liquor but offered all the«club» cocktails(AMF, Long Island, Black Superman, etc) and Soju. The dimly lit plush room seats 10 – 12 people, with just enough space to stand up and sing or dance. My only complaint is that it gets hella hot, hella fast. There was a rotating floor fan, but it didn’t help. They need to pipe in some A/C or put up a ceiling fan. There are 2 tvs for the video and lyrics, 2 mics, and a long coffee table for our appetizer buffet. During Happy Hour(6pm-9pm), rooms are ½ off, so $ 20/hr. I had purchased a Groupon for even less and for that extra 45 mins we stayed, they only charged us $ 9. It was a good deal and a great place for a group of closet«American Idol» friends to get together and celebrate!

An awesome find in Old Sacramento and the city in general, this is the place to be to get your inner American Idol on without any hint of shame. The karaōke rooms here are paid for by the hour and the happy hour rate is an absolute steal from 6 — 9 pm. Haven’t tried the food here yet, but the drinks to get would be the lemon drop or any craft brew by the bottle(found the flavored soju and mojitos to be painfully sweet). The song selection is very much up to date and the staff will go over navigating the touch screen menu for first timers.

Pretty classy for a karaōke spot. There’s a dance area with a bar and there’s rooms available for karaōke. I went here for a birthday and everybody was in and out of the room to the bar to the dance floor. The dance floor wasn’t much, kinda small. but the room – it was pretty cool. Selection of songs were pretty recent as well. The girls bathroom was two stalls only. Some girl(not my party) had yakked in the sink(only one), but the worker was pretty quick at cleaning it up. Kudos to her, because it was disgusting!

I’ve been here a few times! Food is AMAZiNG! Egg Rolls are my favorite here. Drinks are yum, too! Tried the Sky Mojito and the Tokyo Tea. !! We ordered a few of these pitchers for an event that was held at this venue. Owner and restaurant managers were super helpful in planning and ordering food and drinks for a party of about 30 folks. Venue was beautiful!!! One of the finest karaōke lounges I’ve ever visited. Quite classy! Excellent job on the interior décor!

Pros: more reliable system than Oishii. Place looks like a swanky nightclub. CHEAP ½ off rooms between 6−9pm. Bomb chicken wings. Cons: touch screen still tends to have at least one malfunction/night. Limited food menu.

Came here last night with a group of friends and it was my first time! I’ve seen the reviews and photos for a few weeks not awaiting to go and this place totally exceeded my already amazing expectations! What a cool place! This place is a lounge instead of a club, but does share some of the same vibes, just not as crazy and crowded! The music was really good, the space and seating was well and the bar area was really nice as well! They have an outdoor patio area which is extremely comfy and nice, and it’s great to get some air after karaōke and drinks! The drinks: cheap! Need I say more? They could, although, use more selections for beer. The food: holy b*lls, those garlic fries and garlic tater tots AREAMAZING!!! The karaōke: the rooms were very nice and comfortable and the system was easy to use, it just does get very hot in there! I had a great time and can not wait to come back again. I waited a long time to finally check this place out and I am so impressed. If your reading this wanting to go, do not hesitate and go check it out!

Omg, this is my new fav karaōke spot!!! This makes Blue Moon and Oishii Sushi Karaōke rankings drop to the bottom. First off, this ambiance is straight up night/club scene once inside. A bar and live music AND a dance floor. Karaōke room: Fucken dope, sound quality – them speakers have the BASS, legit bass without the static! Mics – cordless and HQ, i can hear actual voice! 2 TVs so you can sit and sing in different areas of the room. Music– finally, the music video that matches the song selection! Also have other genres for those who prefer different cultures/languages. Food & Drinks: Order a pitcher of mix drink for your party. We had a pitcher of AMF for $ 23, for 4 which was enough for everyone to get 2 cups out of it, instead of $ 9 a glass. Garlic fries and Chicken wangs for the munchies – super yums. Complimentary fruit – pineapple, watermelon and orange slices. About $ 38/hr, but totally worth it. Spent 2 hrs + food & drinks = around $ 120(Check in on here and knock off $ 20 dollars ofd your bill). Afterwards, if you have energy, dance the rest of night on dance floor. Great way to spend a Saturday night. Call in to RSVP for a room, will hold up to 15mins after if running late!

I admit, I was a bit skeptical driving to old sac for the first time at 12AM on a Monday night. But I had one hell of a time there. We went there for a co-workers birthday after work and got a room big enough for around 18 people and it was a blast. The three things a karaōke place need are a wide range of songs, feasibility, and snacks. Sky had all three. Recent radio songs, a way to pick the song by just tapping the screen, and a large selection of mixed drinks, beers, and of course, chicken wings. What more could I ask for as a midnight meal? This place is probably my favorite karaōke place I’ve been to around Sacramento, with a very nice, relaxing ambiance to boot. It’s great for large groups and isn’t too dark that you can’t see anything. Lastly, the lady there was extremely patient and nice with our pretty much wasted group and had let us stay 20 minutes after closing so props to her.

$ 38/hour for small private karaōke room that can fit at least small party of 15 if you like to sing or hang out with your party. Happy hour from 6 – 9PM half price private room. They have pattio area for smoking out at the back. You can bring minor from 6 – 9PM too, but no alcohol with minor in the room. They served really good food for karaōke place. Dance floor and open bar area are at the front.
