Clean, clean, clean. And yes the sausages are off the charts. Buy a package bring it home, defrost and bake in the oven. If you like authentic asians flavors and you like sausage you will love, love, love their sausage. Varieties are chicken and pork in mild, hot and super hot. One day I was in the store and a customer who lives in Fairfield comes here to this store to buy their sausages by the case. My favorite is the extra hot pork. This would be a great hot dog substitute for a summer bbq. It doesnt end there, the asian vegetables are super fresh. Lemon grass, thai chilies, ginger, cilantro, lime leaves and other asian specific produce one wont find at a chain supermarket. And did I mention«fresh»? Yep the produce is NOT on the verge of going bad like other asian stores. The customer service is amazing. Excellent English. Informative and pleasant. Often Asian customer service is lacking, but NOT here. And they are NOT cash only.

My favorite Asian always available at Samthong. I baked it for 30−40mins or you can fried it up. Many ways to cook and eat — yummy with steam or sticky rice. $ 10/pack with huge pieces.

A great little neighborhood Hmong/Lao butchershop. They make some of the best sausage available in or near Sacramento — $ 10 for a huge 2.5 lb package of spicy or non-spicy pork or chicken sausage(watch out, the spicy is HOT, but fantastic). They should sell this in supermarkets, it’s that good. Lots of good, fresh cuts of fowl & pork and other meats available at the meat counter in the back. The owner is a nice guy, friendly and helpful, and their prices are very fair. Definitely worth going to for BBQ supplies this summer! I’ll be back regularly. The only thing is, it’s a little hard to find — a tiny shaded door in between two other businesses(a restaurant and another market, I think). Tiny place. But worth seeking out!
