$ 1 for a case of soup? $ 2 for a case of V8? Are you kidding me? Wow, talk about a money saver. You must be an employee or a friend of an employee to shop here though, too bad for most of you. This place is not open to the public as some reviewer seems to think. The guards strictly enforce the«no pass, no entry policy» now!

I went there on a monday and a nice young courteous black man greets me. He says the store is open from Tuesday through Friday. I told him I’ll come back. The following week I go on a Friday. I pulled up to the guard station and some grungy, nasty, guard with a bad attitude was standing outside the booth smoking. I ask«Is the store open today?», he gives me this don’t bother me attitude and pulled out his clipboard, asked for my name and wrote down my license number. He is heading to the booth to open the gate. Before he opens the door and I says«This is my first time, can you give me directions to the store?» Suddenly his got angrier. «You mean to tell me I did all of this for nothing!!! The store is for employees and family members only!!» I says, «Sorry, I didn’t know. No problem. I’ll leave». he grumbled«I’ll let you in this time.» and opens the gate. I proceed to make a u-turn and head out to Franklin Boulevard. Boy, if this guy needs major customer service remedial training… His attitude was a rotten as his teeth. He could have asked me if I was an employee or family member before taking up all of his time writing down my name and license plate! Excuuuuuuse Me!!!

So I like to call this my secret store. But I guess I gotta stop calling it that since I’m sharing it with y’all. Don’t let the«employee store» scare you away. You enter through the gates where the security guard asks for your name. You give it, and you’re granted access to their«employee store». Follow the building heading right and you’ll see this little awning w/a ramp entrance. It’s tiny. If you drive too fast you’ll miss it. Inside it feels like a small warehouse… concrete floors w/boxes of canned goods. Cream of mushroom goes for 53cents each. They also carry Pepperidge Farms cookies… ranging from $ 1.25 or $ 1.85. If you head towards the very back they have some quick sale items which are about to expire. Got a HUGE box of cookies for $ 5. Luckily my bf is a JFJ(Junk Food Junkie) and he’ll kill that box in no time. Apparently Godiva Chocolates is a part of Campbell’s also. In the refrigerated section they have some boxes of chocolates… cheaper than retail but it’s still pricey. An average box of truffles reg. $ 32 was on sale for $ 22. On occasion they’ll have a bag of «oops» chocolates for really cheap like $ 8. There was none on the day I came. Waaah!!! Oh! And a flat of V8 or tomato juice is only $ 3 or so. The women working inside are usually quiet and don’t seem friendly but you merely need to strike up a convo with them. They’ve very nice and helpful. Oh yeah, this place is cash only. But, if you forget, there’s a credit union directly across the street if u don’t mind the $ 2.50 fee.
