Reserved a room for 15. Decent food, alcohol, prices, and song selection. Comfortable seats. Neat place to casually hang out now and then.

KARAOKE I always have a good time here. They’re karaōke system is good and they have updated English songs. They also have Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese songs. Their Vietnamese collection is kind of old but they have all the good classics. FOOD:(I was pretty drunk when I had these) — Chicken wings: crispy and a little on the salty side. But still amazing. 4⁄5 — Potstickers: delicious. 4⁄5 — Ramen: huge bowl of spicy goodness. 4⁄5 DRINKS: We ordered Hite, Blue Moon, and Soju.(a bad mix btw) SERVICE: Fast and friendly.

Even though I should be reviewing the main aspect of this place, the karaōke, I just have to bring up the amazingness of their Korean Ramen. Air quotes, to be exact because I’m pretty sure it was just some instant ramen with egg. But just something about it screamed«keep eating me even though spicy stuff will kill your throat and defeat your purpose of coming here in the first place». I’m just kidding; it wasn’t that spicy. But it was damn delicious and MUCH needed after screaming your voice out for an hour. Anyways, onto the main review. I find it hard for karaōke places to screw up. I mean, it’s just the lyrics of songs with a few microphones. What’s definitely interesting and a change of pace however, are the music videos that go with the English songs. They pair random MVs sometimes to the point where I was at one point just dying cause I was singing Lucky to some ‘Saving Private Ryan’ war scene stuff. They’ve also got a nice selection of sojus. Flavored ones too. Because in order to sing, obviously you’ve gotta be drunk first. The only weird thing I didn’t like was how the room rates were not anywhere. The manager there had to write them down for us, which I found a bit annoying that I couldn’t find the prices before going there. I believe it was $ 25 for a 2 – 4 person room for an hour. So not that bad! But definitely get the ramen. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Came here recently for my boyfriends birthday, it was his first time going to an actual karaōke place and he loved it! Our group of five sang for 2 and a half hours and by that time, our voices were gone ha! We also ordered fries and some drinks. Overall a good experience :] Pros: –Plenty of up to date songs to select from –Open really late –Cashier was super nice and welcoming –There wasn’t a wait when we got there –Bathrooms were clean –They have an ENGLISH remote– this is a plus! Cons: –The food and drinks can be expensive for the amount you get.

LOVELOVELOVE coming here!!! It has to be MYFAVORITE karaōke place in Sacramento!!! Even though it is older compared to the KTV’s located in downtown(i.e. Oishii and Sky KTV), it has THEBEST sound system(microphones have that echoing capability so you sound AMAZING while singing), a wide variety of songs — especially if you LOVE Korean and Chinese(Mandarin) singers, and nicest workers! Open until 4AM Monday-Saturday and until 5AM on Sunday, Ruru is the place to go for an AFTER party! Usually, there is no wait for rooms as you are given two microphones, tamborines, moraccas, and other musical instruments to play with. Rooms are nice and spacious with a disco ball hanging from the ceiling to give it true noraebong feel! They offer different sized rooms depending on how big your party is and even serve small snacks(i.e. french fries, chicken tenders, fresh fruit, potstickers, etc.) and drinks/alcohol(i.e. soda, soju, water)(a bit overpriced) as most people are usually STARVING upon arrival. Ruru isn’t located in the best area so don’t be surprised when you see a full on fist fight going on outside – when drunk people congregate, anything is possible! I usually try going with a big group just to be on the safer side and, luckily, have never encountered any problems. Workers are usually quick to call the police if and when a brawl breaks out. The only downside is the song book they have. If you can’t read Korean or Chinese it’s really hard to lookup artists/songs! They do offer English songs which are written in English but, for those times I want to sing Korean songs, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to find them! I usually end up asking a friend! :) Owners should create English-Korean/English-Chinese sections! Overall, a MUSTVISIT!!! If you LOVE singing this is the cheapest karaōke establishment and it’s also open the latest!

Went back again with my group after this incident, but they never kept there word. Instead of giving us 3 free hours, they gave us 1.5 hours. We were going to pay at least half of how much we stayed, but we were disappointed they didnt keep there word. Probably will be going to dublin from now on.

I come here occasionally. The staff is always really nice and welcoming. None of us probably have an idea of all the work that goes into karaōke maintenance. I heard its alot of cleaning, etc. This place is very clean and the rooms are very spacious. The bathrooms are very clean too and the system is very up to date. At least for all the songs I know. Snacks are good too, but I’m usually here to drink lol So happy this place is here but its a 30 minute drivefrom Davis :( P. s. There is a guy that looks like tablo from epik high. Omg lol !

i came here back in high school(five years ago? damn) and i didn’t like the place so much. did they renovate? the rooms are comfortable, and i feel like the prices went down. there’s a good selection of music including korean, japanese and english songs and even if you don’t speak/read korean i think it’s quite simple to understand how to use the karaōke machine. my parents were drinking beers and when the employee brought their beers into our rom they also brought some small snacks with them as service, which i thought was nice. all in all, i’ll definitely be coming back :3

All these damn touchscreen places taking over the private room Karaōke scene, but I prefer having the remote and book so anyone can enter songs in. US selection up to date enough. Only bummer is that it’s a bit off the grid and you’ll need a DD if you want to pound the flavored soju. Great service!

Our favorite karaōke place! It’s a tradition for my friends and I to stop by here on any special occasions — birthdays, holidays, and just randomly when we feel like singing our lungs out! Pricing isn’t too bad when you split with a bigger group. They have a great special deal for birthdays, be sure to bring your license. I believe it’s 50% off the bill, but I think they changed it recently(?), and a prize wheel. They have a variety of small, but, and biggER booths available depending on your party size. The rooms are usually fairly clean with awesome lights. Music choices see updated pretty well. This is a Korean-English dominant karaōke system so expect lots of fun Korean songs! They have okay food and snacks, and of course you will be overcharged for it, just like movie theaters or fairs. They have a policy of no food/drinks and will charge you a fine for this. Always coming back, we love LaLa! ^.^

Party of 9 following dinner(and three bottles of soju) at Korea House. Our server from Korea House actually walked us over to Rurulala when we told her we were going singing after dinner. I had put my name down for the VIP list previously and making reservations with Boram(Claire) was very easy. Joe in our group was celebrating a birthday so he got to spin the wheel and won a free beer(Blue Moon!). We also had our group photos taken with props at the front before going to the private karaōke room, which will be emailed. Had the larger karaōke room this time, same setup. Ordered the yogurt soju and some munchies as well. Huge song selection, able to select songs for the queue to play one after another. I’m not entirely sure how much it cost total but we were there from about 9:30pm to 12:30am, we paid till midnight but they let us stay another half hour. They also have a deal, for Halloween(10⁄31) if you enter before 10pm, your first hour is free, also you get one free beer if you wear a costume! Lots of fun, great place to sing your heart out. No outside alcohol or else double your bill.

This place is really big! Especially the rooms! We came in a with a party of 10+ and they accommodated us nicely! Friendly and always making sure to answer any questions we had before they left(considering this was our first time at this place) The music variety they have is huge! The book is really thick and from what I’ve seen it has most of the current generation music + 90s music(NSYNCFANHERE!) The only thing we had trouble with was the remote. Because most of the directions was in korean on the screen it took us a while to figure it out. Thank god they taught us how to use the remote before we left or else we would be so lost LOL!(Accidentally chose Nicki Minaj — Super bass 5 times… THANKGODWEFIGUREOUTHOWTODELETETHEM!!!)

Have been there few times for last few years and so far this is the only karaōke i know that you can have your own private room with your group and sing without worrying about others judging your singing ability. lol. This time we went there to celebrate one of friend’s birthday and i gotta say we had so much fun!!! they took our pictures and said will email it.(still waiting) Food taste okay for a Bar food and alcohol beverage price was fair as well. Will go there again.

Hey! Dear Unilocalers! You guys had better go to Rurulala when you hang out with your friends. Well, I’ve been to many parts of Korea and Japan. I visited many fun places of them like karaōke, game center, etc. Judging from my experience, Rurulala is the best place ever to stay. I always enjoy staying here. Charges are reasonable, rooms and toilets clean, staffs extremely kind, foods delicious, and sound system excellent. That’s why I recommend Rurulala to you. Make reservation! and ENJOY! :) P.S. You know what? I think Miss. Busan is beautiful enough.:p

Hi-ya! Ok smells like cigars or cigarettes, but this place is fun! You can have hella fun with friends and sing your non-American idol voice off! The song selection is huge and prices reasonable. Just overall a really fun experience. I don’t sing and typically would never have come here on my own accord, but we came on a whim and it was so worth doing!
