Excellent vegetarian and super burritos! Not good if you need to sit indoors, but a great place for either takeaway or patio seating. Make sure to add the guacamole!

Honey this place is sooo tired, I wanted a vegetarian burrito, found out they cooked the rice and beans with lard, and they advertise vegetarian burritos, this people think that vegetarian people can only eat lettuces on top of lettuces. Give me a break is this Martha’s kitchen ? Then I needed to use a bathroom, found out«not bathroom for customers, restaurant and not bathroom?

I’m stunned by the exorbitant ATM fee and that they charge your card in increments of $ 10! If I would have read the Unilocal reviews before going I would have skipped this place, I rarely have cash. I simply wanted a breakfast burrito with eggs, potatoes and cheese. The burrito was actually good but very basic, not hard to meet expectations. The burrito was $ 3 and some change with a $ 1ATM fee. This place is in an area with Mexican restaurants on every corner. They are tucked into a little driveway with a couple of other businesses; if you didn’t know they were there you might miss it. They are killing their repeat business and don’t really care. When I told the cashier that the fee was really high, she just shrugged her shoulders and smiled. I will definitely give my money to another business in the area that is not trying to gouge customers. Charging a fee is fine but $ 1 seems excessive. Okay I had to come back to edit this review. The burrito was good(4 Stars), I don’t wanna knock them if they have good food. That being said, they still are gouging their customers with that fee. So if I return, it will be with CASHONLY!

Let’s start with the setting, this is a hole in the wall which I believe you find the most authentic meals but this place only offers outside seating with rickety plastic picnic benches. The music they played was too loud to have a conversation. Next lets talk about the ordering, they are definitely behind in technology. You can pay either by cash or debit which they charge you $ 1.00 for using debit. On top of that, if you choose to use your debit card they round your order amount to the nearest 10 and where you will get change back. Finally, the food. I ordered the 2 street taco plate, one carne asada and the other carnitas with rice and beans. The Asada was really dry and the carnitas had no flavor. The refried beans had potential since they were fried with chorizo, which enhances the refried beans, at least in my opinion. Where this went wrong is that the beans tasted like they were fried in old grease. The rice was just okay, not much to say about them. Also, I ordered chips and salsa, the chips were good but the salsa was just pico de gallo. The salsa they gave me for my tacos were green and red sauce in a container that held about ½ ounce. One positive I can say is that their tacos were pretty big in portions but unfortunately I couldn’t eat them due to the dryness. No amount of salsa could fix them.

Food was amazing. Best chicken tacos I have ever had. Burritos where delicious. Big guy at the window was scarey looking but was very quit pleasant actually once he took my order. Service was excellent. Lesson to me… never judge a book by its cover.

Went here to get something to eat for a very-late lunch. I’ve ordered a breakfast burrito and was dying to try it as I’ve been on the hunt for a place that makes them. Upon paying, I’ve handed over a credit card to find out they only accept debit. Okay. I pass my debit card, only to be informed they charge a dollar. I try to avoid these types of places. But okay, I’m here and starving. After processing the transaction, I’m getting handed a few bucks and some change. Huh? Well they can only do transactions in increments of $ 10. I wish I would’ve been notified that before. Finally I get my burrito which was made pretty quick. By the time I got in the car to look at it, I was disappointed to see that it was so small. Pros are that the food was pretty good, it was hot and the staff were pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, not sure if I’ll be returning though. My rating is based off the loop holes within the experience: the small portion size and transaction issues.

I have experienced better! I was fairly underwhelmed by this place. I was going to give them three stars but there are so many better options, I decided they only deserve two. I ordered Super Chips. They charge an extra dollar to use an ATM card. A dollar? Yes, a dollar. My bill should have come to $ 8.58 but when I looked at the register I was charged $ 11.00. I asked the guy at the window about it and he gave me attitute. He said he would give me the change from $ 11.00. I guess this is standard procedure here and I should have know that. Excuse me! I don’t like paying an extra charge for using a debit card. I generally avoid places that do that. Tacking on an extra $ 2.42 made it even worse. The food was just ok. The chicken was cooked… Which is about all I can say about it. It was bland and tasted like it had been stewed in water. The portion size was kind of small. I can get a heck-of-a-lot more at other restaurants. You can keep your Super Chips Ramona’s. They ain’t so super! Needless to say I didn’t tip. That extra dollar you charged me for using my ATM card, put that in your tip jar Mr. Attitude Man!

Such a great place to eat. Ingredients taste fresh and made with care. Be sure to scope out the menu, because it’s kinda long. Probably the best tasting tortilla I’ve had at a restaurant.

Wow! Best Chile Colorado burrito I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on the meat either. This is all I’ve ever ordered so I can’t comment on the rest of the food, but you will not be disappointed. Great hot sauce too!

Ramona’s Comida has the BEST carne asada burritos and chicken tacos! Their food is the best in Natomas and Gardenland/Northgate. I’ve been in the Customer Service business for over thirty five years and this family owned business and restaurant gives outstanding Customers Service. It was nice to sit down out side in the patio with an outside heater to keep me warm while I waited for my food. Their prices on their menu are very reasonable.

Delicious, no matter what you order! Whether it’s just a basic taco, burrito or enchilada you will not be disappointed. This is a true taste of Mexico right here in our neighborhood. Fabulous and as an added bonus it is very reasonably priced.

Always get the carnitas super burrito fully loaded with cheese, guac, sour cream, and potatoes. Its a massive burrito and with all the extras, puts this at about $ 9.50 or so($ 5.69 normally). But oh is it worth it. Best non-wet«rolled» burrito I’ve ever had to date. Enough to feed two average sized people or one bigger person, its a heavy sucker. The flavor in the carnitas meat is divine. Not too oily, perfect blend. Gotta try it.

We come here less often than we should. Their vegetarian burritos is divine, my wife loves the chorizo and egg breakfast burrito, the kids love carnitas. Actually we love everything we have ever had here. You walk up to the window and order, and then take a seat in the covered patio or get it to go if you want to avoid the heat. If you haven’t eaten here you are missing out. The regular burrito is enough to fill me up and I have never witnessed anyone who could finish the super burrito. This is a great neighborhood gem.

Got the chorizo, egg and potato breakfast burrito. Red and green salsa. Super cheap, super good. They had a nice shady patio area which was nice to get out of the sun. Will definitely be back.

Out of state visitor who saw the Unilocal reviews. I was not disappointed with their Chile Verde Super Burrito(with cheese and Guacamole added). I would have given it a 5 if it was a couple dollars cheaper. Was $ 9.50. Main message — you won’t be disappointed — the flavor and just the right amount of spice /kick made it a very good meal.

I have to admit it… I was so ready to right this place off the minute I saw it… and for no real reason other than because I was disappoint(more like surprised) that it wasn’t a sit-down restaurant. I’m new to all the Mexican restaurants in this micro-area of Sacramento so I Unilocaled to see what was interesting in the area… This place had a surprising 4.5 star so, for no reason whatsoever, I just assumed it was a sit-down establishment… In short, it’s not! It’s basically a window you order from with some outdoor benches in a fenced-off area(think of Chado’s Tacos for those who know). Here’s my unfortunate little story… Seeing as how I was in a foul mood because of the disappointment, I was NOT in the mood to double-down on this«disappointing» place by ordering more than I absolutely had to; by that I mean this: I was EXTREMELYHUNGRY having skipped lunch and it’s now like 1:30… but even with the extreme, pain-inducing hunger I wasn’t in the mood to order anything more than their«regular» burrito… which anyone who knows me at all would think something was wrong. But at this moment I didn’t feel like putting ANY more stock in this place that it was any good at all. Little did I know, their«regular» was simply nothing more than your choice of meat and salsa. It was literally 3-bites($ 3.59, tax included). Granted… most other place’s «regular» burrito is like $ 5 but still… being handed a 3-bite burrito is a major shock to the senses if you know what I mean. I couldn’t stop thinking«WTF???» to myself as I’m driving back to my office to eat the thing… the only«saving grace»(so I thought) at this point was that I didn’t spend hardly anything… so I just shrugged it off as a learning experience(and boy did I learn!!). After my first bite of this 3-bite burrito… it was like that scene in Ratatouille where the critic, after his first bite, was transported back to his childhood, eating at his mother’s kitchen… OK so it wasn’t THAT dramatic… however I was transported back to my Guadalajara trips though. There’s this place on the way to lake Chapala called Dos Burritos where they serve up these«simple» burritos like this. You tell them how many and what kind of meat you want and that’s all there is to it(other than a smidgen of bean paste). At this point I realized two things: 1) I’m usually ordering 3 when I go to Dos Burritos because that’s how it’s eaten there… I can’t recall anyone of my guys ordering just 1 when we go there, and 2) that I find myself often commenting, «Why is it that I can’t find a place in the States that makes simple burritos like this?» So the moral of the story is that… my misjudgment of this place cost me a satisfying meal; in the end, I should’da ordered 3! But now that I know what their«regular» burrito’s all about… you bet I will be. (one last thing: would it hurt’cha to have lengua or tripes?)
