Went there for my very first time during the week for breakfast. A little older place nothing fancy. I ordered an egg white omelette with mushrooms spinach and light cheese. My sides were potatoes and wheat toast. There was one other person in the restaurant and it took exactly 38 minutes for my dish to arrive… WOW! The omelette was not bad but the potatoes were pretty greasy and the wheat toast had mold in it. Needless to say I won’t be back an sure as heck will not refer anyone there.

Despite what the hours say, they ARE open on Sunday’s! We were looking for a breakfast place in Pocket area, and Unilocal said they were closed but we called and they are open 8 – 2 on Sunday’s. I ordered Bills Waffle breakfast and it was perfect — a big old waffle, eggs, and breakfast meats. I will definitely come here again!

Nice big menu of homemade food and wonderful staff. Breakfast and lunch served all day! A nice alternative to Shari’s during the day. We had breakfast and will be back to try lunch!

I wouldn’t be writing a review if this place didn’t deserve it. Their salmon melt is one the best sandwiches Ive ever had in my life. The potato salad is something to dream about. I hate potato salad but the one they serve is the only one I like. The only flaw at this place is the long wait time, but it’s without a doubt #worth

Delicious food; very reasonably priced. We had breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed what we had. I had«Bill’s Waffle» breakfast, but next time I’m trying the breakfast burrito. On top of that, superb customer service. Our server was Brandi B. and she was very sweet and attentive. You can tell this place has«regulars» because she knew a few of them by name. I highly recommend this place.

I have been coming here since I was a little little girl. Lena used to know my order the minute I walked in and would always serve it with an extra side of love and a chat. The new owners as staff seem to be just as dedicated to creating that wonderful local eatery feeling. The food is always prepared with care and they truly care about their customer’s satisfaction.

Save yourself the hassle and just go to Shari’s. The inside is outdated and a bit gross. The first time I ate here I ordered an overpriced pastrami sandwich that was 80% Sauerkraut with a side order of fries that never came. The staff was friendly but one of the servers was sweating through his dirty T-shirt. Quite frankly, I’m certain the only reason they have not closed down is because there aren’t too many dining options in this area.

I had high hopes for this place. I brought my mom who was in from out of town with hopes to wow her since it was so close to my house. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken. We got our coffee and waited to have our order taken. 10 mins later, we placed our order. ANHOURLATER our food had not arrived. We were not acknowledged the entire time. Coffee was not refilled. Not even an acknowledgment that we were there. I finally went to the counter and cancelled the order. What a waste.

The service was very slow. I was there over an hour trying to eat half of a sandwich with several of my coworkers. Everyone was eating their meal, except me. What came out was some soup, and it was just OK. I ordered a crab melt which was horrible and macaroni salad, well that was the worst!!! I did discuss it with the owner but I was still charged the almost $ 11 for the meal and all I ate was the soup and the Ice-T. The whole experience was terrible I would never eat there again or recommend anybody else to eat there!!!

Go for the love! Generous portions of home cooking from scratch! Our party of 9 devoured homemade peach cobbler, chicken Philly cheesesteak, ginger dressing on side salad, homemade mac n cheese, salmon sandwich — fab menu and serve all choices all day. Celebrated twins 10th bday here everyone got what they wanted! NOT fast food — they make each meal from scratch. Yummy potato salad. Fresh baked hotdog buns. Sliced fresh roasted turkey on the the turkey cranberry sandwich. We were in heaven!

Good breakfast option for the area. Better service and comparable food to Sharis, just no pie.

This is a generous review only because they somewhat redeemed themselves by compensating my meal. I ordered two burritos for breakfast and didn’t get them until lunch. I’m talking about a 1-hour wait for two breakfast burritos. The restaurant was not busy, and several customers came and went while I waited… I was beyond annoyed… But they compensated the meal, so at least that happened. Anyway, the food was good… But I will not return

Always good food here. Saturdays they serve breakfast all day. 8am — 2pm on Sundays. Tuna Melt is one of my favorites! A very good neighborhood restaurant with modest prices… Great for families too!

Just went here the other day… loved it! I got the breakfast burrito, coffee and my son got the pancakes. It’s been years since I was here but I love it more now than before. It’s small, but cute. Worth a try. Great chef, and service.

Thought this would be a cute mom and pop stop. It took 25 – 30 minutes to get our food(for two of us) and the food was unfortunately not good at all.

An unimposing, unremarkable little café in the pocket provides surprising value and flavor. My companion and I were going grocery shopping, but had skipped lunch. We felt we should eat before shopping and Rainbow’s End was nearby. We gazed with some degree of skepticism at the menu.(«Crab Melt» was under«Vegetarian Sandwiches» but«Egg Salad» was not. Cryptic, no?) But we persevered and ordered. I had the Hot Ruben(House-made sauarkraut!) with a side of(house made!) potato salad. Both were delicious, full of flavor and good texture. Nothing«Food Service» here! My companion had the BLT, a go-to in such places, and found her bread perfect, the mayo just right and the bacon at the perfect point between chewy and crunchy, where each bite just, well… is bitten. She’s finicky(and going to read this and give me hell for saying it, but she is, so there), but devoured her meal with gusto, as did I. Two(non-booze) beverages, two sanwiches, two sides – oh and pickle which was meh – and only $ 22. That’s no bargain, but it’s not exactly Airport Price either. Service was excellent, informed, fast and courteous, even enthusiastic and cheerful. Food arrived wicked-fast. Our waitron informed us she had made the potato salad herself that morning – and I believe her. Décor is nothing special; strip-mall standard w/acoustic ceiling tiles and ceramic floor. Don’t come here for a first date. But honestly, I could come back here again for a breakfast or a dinner just to sample the fare. Don’t let the décor deter you(see what I did there? Décor? Deter? Ok, moving on…); food was good and service excellent. A great weekend daytime stop.

This is one of my hidden gems in the Pocket area. This restaurant has changed hands a few times, but it appears that this owner is doing it right and here to stay. Kory has recently changed her menu items with slight change in menu hours as well. Breakfast is now served until 3pm, while lunch ends at 4pm. Dinner from 4pm to closing. I have tried a few menu items as well as Specials of the Day. Most notable: Grilled Salmon Melt: 5 Stars… this was a nice, fresh, filet of salmon. Nestled perfectly between two buttered and grilled slices of sourdough. Tomatoes, avocados and melty cheese makes this a homerun hitter. Accompanied with side salad or Crinkle Cut French Fries. Chicken Fried Steak: 5 Stars… it may hamburger meat, but boy is this good! Think of it as a battered and deep fried Loco Moco. Served with rice and covered in brown gravy… dayum that’s good!!! I’ll write more later. Overall: 4 Stars… for having weird hours, as they are closed on Sundays, and close at 8pm. Some people are busy and eat late supper… just not at this restaurant.
