Remarkable place, haven’t stopped here in a couple years. My wife and I decide to stop for coffee while out on a motorcycle ride. Amaretto coffee and plain coffee = $ 12.00. Rip off. With nobody in the place the bartender and waitress were to busy talking to even acknowledge us when we walked in and take our order. Then he was confusing about what we wanted — no breakfast, just coffee? Yes, just coffee. We sat outside, amidst dirty tables. In the 30+ minutes we were there no one came out to see if we wanted anything more. We had to go inside for our own refills. Staff too busy doing nothing? The tables were still littered with dirty beer glasses and pitchers when we left. But we could watch the golfers start their rounds. The course golfing starter sits in his cart or on the nearby bench waiting(it wasn’t busy at all), but when someone he knows shows up he yells across that they’ve put on a lot of weight. Nice local«hello, may I help you» from a staff person I assume. What the hell is happening to this place, the management, the staff? Pathetic showing for what use to be a nice place. Disgraceful for what used to be a classy operation.

The ambient tranquility of the green intoxicates me. It simply draws me in to its lush beauty. This is how I felt when I came here to unwind and enjoy a Sunday brunch. The Bartley Cavanaugh golf course café is such a peaceful venue with a 180 degree view of the course… and the food is fantastic. I ordered the special, which was a slow cooked Tri tip sandwich. The slices of beef on this sandwich were generously cut, and the seasoning complimented the beef nicely. I was impressed at the service as the waiter was super attentive and consistent in checking on my table. The drink specials were an added bonus to my dining experience. I was excited to learn that during football season the bar offered happy hour pricing all day on Sunday That said, I must mention the beautiful bar, which is made of solid wood and polished brass. A classic touch to this«country club» venue. There are 5 big screen TVs strategically hung through this bar and grill. You really can’t go wrong enjoying an afternoon brunch at the Bartley Cavanaugh golf course club.
