Make your own spring rolls. So much fun. Can feed two people but I would suggest ordering their other items just to spice things up. They provide rice noodles, meat, and crispy fried egg rolls skins(for added texture), and warm water that surprisingly stayed warm for a good while. The sauce that came with it was quite interesting. I don’t think I have ever seen this sauce before. I am used to the peanut sauce. It was pretty good. If you are too lazy then you can order spring rolls. They seem to offer a variety. We also ordered the Banh beo. I have been wanting to try this for the longest time. It was quite good. Rice pudding with fried scallions. Totally wouldn’t mind coming back. Can get busy but not wait in line for 30+ minutes long. Small private lot.

These spring rolls here are amazing. You can order them as a do it yourself or order the vermicelli/soup noodles. I always get the DIY spring rolls. It’s so amazing. The dipping sauce, the mound of veggies, so fresh… I cannot get enough. If you are from LA they make it like Brodart’s with the fried spring roll in the middle to give it a nice sense of crunch. The #1 special order comes with 8 rolls — you can probably share the full order of $ 18 or just take the half order for $ 10(4 rolls). Either way — it’s fun!

This is my favorite Vietnamese place, their bbq pork spring rolls are amazing! And i’m not sure what the #32 is… but i ordered it today and now i’m CRAVING more of it. Prices are very reasonable and the people are friendly. I really want to try whatever is in the steamed banana leaves at the register. Must go again soon!

Besides my fat rolls, I would say spring rolls are the closest thing to my heart! I have been going to Quan Nem Ninh Hoa for years and I have to say this place is by far the best Nem Nuong Spring roll place in Norcal. Though the price has increased these past few years, you can get a filling meal for about $ 10. This is a decent size restaurant, but not huge and during peak hours. this place can get packed. Also, the service is alright. It can be a hit or miss depending on how busy they are. You kinda have to holler at your server to get you the things you need, but they are pretty friendly about it. Now onto the dishes. House Number #1 Special(Nem Nuong Spring rolls) — Most famous and popular dish! You can either do DIY spring rolls or have ones already made for you(both will give your tummy 4 rolls). For someone new, do the DIY. It is super fun and great conversation piece! On the plus side, you can always ask more for more veggies, sauce, etc. to make your spring rolls MEGA-SIZE. The meat is delicious, but I think the sauce at Brodards is a lot better. Price varies(DIY or pre-made), but for the House Number #1 Special. a full portion(serves 2) is about $ 18. Banh Xeo($ 6.95) — It is definitely decent and if you are not feeling for spring rolls, this is a great option to get as well. I have had better, but it comes with a lot of veggies that will get you filled up. Banh Beo($ 5.95) — Great appetizer to have! It comes with 10 individual ones. I would describe it as a steamed rice cake with bits of green onions and meat toppings. Also, it’s paired with a sweet fish sauce. I like to have this with a lot of people because eating more than 3 – 4 can be a bit much. Banh Bot Loc($ 5.50) — PASS! The Banh Bot Loc is another steamed rice cake with bits of pork belly and shrimp wrapped in a banana leaf. It is super small and not worth the price. You can definitely get bigger and better ones else where. I have tried other dishes as well and they are all good, but the main point of this restaurant will be their Nem Nuong. Overall, definitely have to try this place! It is a great place to bring friends on a casual night out. Not will you only make memories, but spring rolls as well.

My friend took me here. We did the DYI spring rolls and an order of Banh Beo. The DYI springs rolls was a really fun experience. It was my first time at a place that had this. I also liked that they had TVs in there so we could watch the warriors game while having food. The Banh Beos were also awesome, I’ve never had it before. Overall great price and really affordable. I would totally come back here.

FOOD: I ordered the Banh Xeo, Banh Beo, as well as the Nem Nuong rolls. First off, the rolls were good but I expected more of the sauce that they gave! The thickness of the sauce was perfect, however I wished there was more flavor. The Nuoc mum that they offer is sooooo bland, I can barely taste the fish sauce! I feel that the sauce is what makes up these dishes, and they have failed me on that. SERVICE: The servers were very attentive! Very nice, you could tell that they treated each other like family. PARKING: Parking lot! Plenty of parking.

Love this spring roll joint. Customer service is decent — nice and attentive(unless their super busy then its easier to stand up and grab someone rather than flail your arms around). Ordered: I prefer to order the spring rolls already made — saves me the hassle. But if you do roll them yourself, the set-up includes noodles. The orange sauce is good especially with some of their crushed red peppers — be CAREFUL, these can be super spicy. The fish soup is also very tasty. I always order a bowl to share. Banh Beo is not good. I’ve ordered this twice and both times the dough was TOO soft and the fish sauce is a too light. At the counter, the store also makes/sells pretty good desserts. There are two options — coconut and mung bean(I believe). I prefer the mung bean.

Absolutely yummy springrolls. We got the number one special for two. It was a roll it yourself kind of dish. Definitely a lot of food for us. We were both too full to walk afterwards. Totally worth it though. The frilled pork was good, veggies were fresh, and service was good for a small place. They get pretty packed and busy though, so if you’re looking for a peaceful place to eat… probably not the best pace. It’s worth it though, even if the noise bugs you. It was so good we came back the next day and ordered the same thing to go and wrapped them at home. Hehe. Would definitely come again when I’m in town :)

Food is ok for the Nem Nuong but rest of the dishes are horrible. For the same reataurant down San Gabriel do way better. The service is bad. They forget one of my group order and the attitude is horrible. Not coming back.

I would probably not come in again if I could help it. I came in with a group and a friend picked the spot. The place is super crowded so I guess it can account for the bad service? One of my friends wanted to do that DIY roll your own, but the rest of the group just wanted the regular pre-made spring rolls — So we went with that. I should also preface that I don’t generally like«nem»(fermented pork) but I was willing to try it in the spring roll. Their nem is actually not bad according to my taste buds, but I still don’t like it. My friend and I ordered a vermicelli bowl(#26) with charbroiled pork and got nem. I even asked a waiter about this and the guy said that it was supposed to be nem. My friend said she wasn’t really sure what she had ordered… At this point, since I already had an spring roll with nem in it, I figured… Whatever, my fault for not reading it. So I dug in… The bowl itself was not bad. Nothing particularly special. My friend next to me got his rice plate that was supposed to have steak and shrimp, and they didn’t give him his shrimp. So this time, we checked the menu and sure enough, the bowl my friend and I ordered should have had charbroiled pork and his dish had shrimp. They messed up 3 orders out of 6 people’s orders. Not good.

I have very high expectation for vietnamese food just because I’m from San Jose where it’s known for their vietnamese food. I thought the food is alright. maybe because I didn’t order do it yourself spring rolls I believed that is what they’re known for. Their food isn’t the BEST, But it’s not the worst either… Sorry to say this, but I had better vietnamese food. The service was pretty slow when I was there and it wasn’t even busy… or I think it’s because I was super hungry and didn’t have any patience to wait for me food! I guess it’s one of the best vietnamese food in Sacramento!

I LOVE the spring rolls here! They are well priced and totally different from the usual Vietnamese spring rolls. Since I’m lazy, I always get the pre-made spring rolls. They are fresh with a nice crunch. The orange colored sauce is light and delicious. Parking is plentiful. The staff is nice. The service is relatively fast. I try to make a stop here every time I’m in Sacramento.

+ THEFOOD The house special #1 is a must try! The portion sizes are huge so it’s made to be shared by 2 people. Even so, it’s kind of a lot and may be hard to finish. You are given a container of warm water to make your spring rolls and you can make them however you like! There’s a lot of different veggies and garnishes you can choose from. The grilled pork skewers are very tasty and pretty filling too. I really enjoyed the thin egg rolls because it added a nice texture along with the vermicelli. Definitely would come back again for this!

This place is easy to find with plenty of parking on the sides. This place is usually very busy on the weekends. There is plenty on the menu to choose from. they are known for«roll your own spring rolls» that way you can choose what you would like in it. We ordered the bot loc, spring rolls(already made), banh beo and my friend ordered the vermicelli noodle with bbq sliced pork. The banh beo came in an order of 10 small dishes topped with ground up dried shrimp and fried onions with fish sauce. It was delicious! One of my favorite things to order. The spring rolls were very good as well especially their dipping sauce. The Vermicelli was a good size with lots of vegetables. Definitely will be back for more!

Their #1 special, the do-it-yourself spring rolls, was a really fun experience! It was really refreshing, seeing that most Vietnamese restaurants serve spring rolls that are already made by the time it gets to your table. Although it required extra work on our end, it was nice learning something new, and being able to control the amount of ingredients(ahem lol, protein to veggie ratio). I also got the #18 beef + seafood noodle soup. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of meat they gave in the bowl, but at least the broth was amazeballs. The wait to get our food, however, was kind of ridiculous. My group came in around 2pm in the afternoon and didn’t leave until 3:45pm.

This is the place to go for spring rolls. You can either build your own(#1) or just order it already made(#2). I usually build my own but I was feeling lazy today so I ordered the #2 which is basically the same thing but without the vermicelli noodles and you don’t have to roll it yourself. Also, it’s cheaper. The spring rolls comes with charbroiled pork, slim eggrolls, and assorted veggies inside. I love the sauce that it comes with. I usually also order the banh beo(#9) which is steamed rice cakes and I remember it being really good here. But today’s order was a disappointment! It lacked flavor and it didn’t taste like how it usually does. All I could taste was the flour and it was a little too doughy. I’m not sure if they changed up the ingredients or what not, but I was super bummed. All in all I give this place 3.5 stars.

The DIY spring rolls are probably the best spring rolls I’ve ever had. A must go when passing by Sacramento. Used to come here a lot when I went to UC Davis. Now that I live in South Bay, I can only dream about it. None of the Vietnamese places in South Bay have spring rolls even close to this good. The DIY spring rolls comes with a plate of veggies(romain lettuce, cilantro, mint, cucumbers and pickled stuff) and a plate of meat with rice shredded rice papers and some crunchy stick. The wrap’s skin itself comes in its rigid form. You simply dip it in warm water and it slowly turns soft. All the ingredients tastes fresh and the meat is amazing. But what really makes it special is the dipping sauce. The best spring roll sauce I’ve had. They also have this super spicy chili pepper sauce you can add to the dipping sauce. Amazing.

Place was hyped up… But it was okay to me… The place was small and the parking was a bit tight and there wasn’t many spots… When we were parking… Some homeless dude was making some inappropriate gestures and was really loud… He was definitely on something… But luckily there was a security guard escorting him out away from the restaurant… I ordered a strawberry smoothie to start and it was too tart… Needed to be sweeter… So a little disappointing… I ordered the nem nuong rolls and it was okay… The rolls were pretty big and full of lettuce, mint, cilantro, cucumber, and green onion… Not as good as Bön Mua… We also ordered the nem noung rice plate and that was pretty good! Make your own rolls with the ride noodles and dip it in the fish sauce… Service was average… Nothing out too spectacular… Would we go again? Maybe…

The one thing that draws me back here every time is the House Special No. 1. The presentation is nice, the taste is great, and the ingredients are ready for rolling. Got here around noon, and the place was packed for lunch as expected. I came with a friend, and we were seated immediately. Parking in this block wasn’t too bad although there’s limited parking adjacent to the restaurant. Don’t expect this place to look fancy, but at least it looks decent inside. I had been craving Vietnamese food for a while, so I knew I just had to come back here. If you already know what you want beforehand, it makes ordering a lot quicker. We ordered the House Special No. 1 and their Banh Beo. The House Special No. 1 is the DIY spring rolls(8 rolls) with all the necessary ingredients neatly placed in little boat. Alternatively, you can order pre-wrapped spring rolls, but I think it’s way more fun to make it yourself. The ground pork skewers were very flavorful, and the herbs and vegetables were fresh. Price-wise, the pre-wrapped spring rolls is more worth it, but I guess you can decide for yourself if you want to pay a little bit extra for presentation and self-service. What’s even better is if you happen to use up all of the vegetable ingredients before you finish the spring rolls, they’re nice enough to bring an extra plate of those without any extra cost. The Banh Beo appetizer tasted great as well. The dish comes in 10 mini dishes along with fish sauce for a sweeter taste. Maybe I’ll try ordering some of their other dishes next time?

Ahh a family night dinner brings us to this spot to make our own fresh spring rolls yummy. It was a fun experience and very tasty. They bring out the veggies and the rice wrappers in this neat holder with the hot water and your meats to wrap with a bowl of peanut sauce wow. Did not know where to start but it was fun! Monday night football was on the screen and staff very friendly and good service explaining to us our dishes.
