I love this place for their vietnamese sandwiches! I Unilocaled this place once before but I was scared off by the first and only review that was given. I’m viet so it wasn’t a big deal to me that they couldn’t really understand english. Anyway, their bbq pork sandwiches are to die for! They are the best sandwiches ever! I seriously dream about them. They’re toasted, just the way i like it and the pork has incredible flavor. All for just $ 3. The reason for just 4 stars is because I haven’t tried anything else there so I’m not sure how everything else will taste but I actually wouldn’t mind trying!

We arrived at this unassuming little restaurant for a Monday lunch at 1:00 pm. The place was empty and we were greeted by a very sweet young lady that didn’t speak much English, just the basics. The inside of the facility is decorated in colors of jade green, beige and black. I found it strange that whoever painted the green portion of the walls, allowed it to drip down onto the white baseboards. I’d be pissed at the painters and would have made sure it was fixed before opening shop! The walls had some hanging decorations and pictures of food. And there is a flat screen TV for viewing while you wait for your food. I ordered a seafood and vegetable Chow Fun dish and my BF ordered Bun with pork, shrimp and shredded shrimp. We both got ice teas to drink. But the ice teas looked and tasted more like water with just a hint of color added. When I tried to communicate to the waitress that my tea tasted like water, she didn’t understand and kept asking«you would like water?» «No, it tastes like water». «More ice?» «No, it tastes like water». «You want water?» I finally replied: «Can I have a diet Pepsi?» That was understood. Initially I was going to order Bun, but all the dishes had pork in it and I didn’t want pork, just shrimp. When we asked if I could order Bun without the pork, she kept saying«yes there is pork in it». That’s when I changed my decison to the Chow Fun instead, by pointing at the picture on the menu. When we got our food, everything looked, smelled and tasted good. Exactly how one would expect at a quality Vietnamese restaurant. My Chow Fun had about 5 shrimps, some artificial crab, and calamari in the mixture and there was a nice variety of vegetables including onions, carrots, celery, bean sprouts, both Chinese and American brocolli. There were a few ingrediants I couldn’t identify and were unable to eat because they were too tough to chew. But other than that, the food was satisfactory. This place did not give us a check, so you have to go to the register to pay and place a tip in the«tip can».
