Still the best! Best food and staff. I recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I ordered a seafood soup and a vietnamese chicken salad for pick up. I arrived at 9:15pm it is now 10:19pm and I am just now getting my food. After I get home I find out the order was wrong! I have never received such awful service in my life.

If you think this place has good Phở, you my friend are living in ignorance. And I envy you. Ignorance is bliss. But I can’t eat Phở here. It does it no justice and it won’t quench my craving when I need it. This is my last resort(think papa roach) because Stockton blvd. is too far most the time. The Phở here is not great, the portions have gotten smaller and prices have gone up from when I remember when this small business opened years ago and was a hole in the wall. Through the years of upgrades and expansions the food has gotten worse. l and pricier. I come here every now and again not for the Phở, but for just a quick spring roll fix(which falls apart half the time argghh) and sometimes I order some Chinese food off their menu, which probably is better than their Vietnamese dishes. TL;DR just read the first sentence of this review.

This place is ok… I come here once a week when I’m at work and need my bowl of noodle fix. Place is pretty big… a lot of room for seats. The décor is meh… nothing pops except the poster that advertises their phở challenge. Food is ok… not the best… but it’s not bad. Sometimes if you get anything other than bowl of noodles… the plate can get a bit greasy. Another negative about the food… specifically the spring rolls… it can be sloppily assembled… meaning when it’s served to you… it can fall apart. Wished it was better wrapped. Staff are friendly and helpful… they help you when you have a question… they check in on you from time to time. Would I come here again? Yeah… again…the food is not bad. Just that if you have better phở options and have the time to drive there… you should probably go there instead… but if you don’t…this is a pretty good substitute.

I usually have good service in this location, but today the service, the food, and the coffee was not good. I ordered an ice coffee with condense milk, it was was really watered down. I ordered this multiple times before, but this time it wasn’t done right. My friend ordered the rice plate with grilled pork. The rice looked old. According to him, it tasted like it was made yesterday. We know how freshly cooked rice taste like. I saw my friend made the first ever complain today. The owner told him, she’ll check but never came back. Today was very disappointing.

Worst customer service ever. To top it off, my son found a bug on spring roll. Phở was disgusting. Probably a week old. STAYAWAY, drive the extra 15 miles to the next restaurant.

The broth for phở noodles could be more flavorful. A bit pricey for a small bowl of phở($ 8).

Gave it 2 stars because sometimes you’ll order take out and the food would be okay. However there is a young lady server there that could use some customer service coaching. She wasn’t very friendly. And the last time I was there, she purposely forgot the extra sauce I requested and when I looked at the package and asked if she added the extra sauce, she said no and went back to the kitchen with a smirk. Hope I don’t run into her again. Not a very good impression.

This used to be my favorite restaurant for Vietnamese food, but the new staff and some of the disappointing meals my family has been receiving has really made us turn away from this place. The new staff are really rude, I see some of the old staff very little now. I recently ordered the garlic chicken over rice and I happened to find 4 little bugs on the bok choy.

The menu seems have more choices both Chinese and Vietnamese, however it seems a long wait for just a cup of tea! Also, one table came AFTER us got to order the food first and got to eat first so it’s pretty disappointed of the services here.

I’ve eaten here a number of times since I’ve lived in the area. Proximity certainly helps when picking a place to eat for sure. In this case it certainly has. I’m apparently really lazy when hungry and in need of food. With few places that deliver, venturing out to places for food tends to be close by. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious. The service can be really patchy at times though, and the cleanliness is spotty at best. The parking can be somewhat limited since there’s much more space in the restaurant than what is immediately available but you can park over by where the go kart track is and walk a bit if you really need to. So far I’ve had the phở #4, the beef stew, the yang chow fried rice, and the combination spring rolls. Ive also tried their chow mein though I wasn’t the one that had ordered it. Whenever I’ve had anything with broth in house so far, the temperature is never hot enough. Friends I’ve brought have said the same so usually we’ll get to go orders and reheat the broth ourselves. To sum up the food, it isn’t terrible. Decent would work well, and«I’ve had worse» would also be fitting. The portion sizes are good I’d say, quite a bit of meat for the phở dishes. The stir fried food like fried rice or chow mein were oily. Yes, I realize they’re stir fried xD It’s overly oily okay, geez. But they do give you quite a bit of it for take out. Biggest thing for me tho is that the price noticeably went up since I first went here. While I really liked the portion sizes in the beginning, it isn’t really that much of a factor anymore considering how much I’d pay to get it now. I eat a lot ok, I gotta take these things into consideration haha. Bottom line: it is open late, if it’s a crave to fill then it is nearby and right off the highway for those that might want to check it out. I’d personally check for much better options though that have a better balance of price to satisfaction.

Only Phở place in Rancho Cordova that opens late. Tables and booths are outdated. They have the Phở challenge here. No thanks! I ordered their small phở and my friend had their duck egg noodle soup. My phở wasn’t anything special, but my friend seem to enjoy his duck soup. Definitely a good place to come when u need a quick phở fix around Rancho!

Great food, open late and one of the nicest bathrooms I’ve ever used at a business. The free appetizer is a nice perk to signing up for the rewards program. My friend, who lives around the corner from this place, raves about their Banh Mi sandwich. Me? I like the fried calamari and the pork chop. Lots of southeast Asian food restaurants skimp on the soda, bringing you a cup of ice and a can of Pepsi. NOTHERE! They bring you a FULLGLASS of Pepsi and they refill that sucker as much as you want. One time they even brought me TWO glasses of Pepsi at the same time — no joke! Really friendly staff too. Have been here a handful of times and always had a good experience. Will definitely come back.

I ordered to go and was charged a 25 cent per item surcharge. What the hell? Aren’t I saving you money by not eating in? Anywho, the food was okay — the phở wasn’t anything to write home about, though I did like the spring rolls I ordered. It wasn’t anything spectacular but that extra 25 cents per item was a huge turn off. Needless to say, based on the other reviews and the poor first impression I got when I was charged a surcharge for each item without being told, will mean I won’t be back, which is quite sad because having just moved to Sacramento, good phở has been hard to find!

I’ve come here with my family for years and we’ve always received great food and great service. Tonight not so much. I hope this place isn’t going down hill because this was always my favorite restaurant since I was a little kid. The last couple times we’ve the service has changed. Giving it the benefit of the doubt tonight. Let’s hope the service improves. AFTERNOTE: not returning after the service we received.

This is a nice little place in the business/industrial area of Sac. It doesn’t look like much on the outside and it’s a free standing building with no surrounding restaurants in the parking lot of a go cart track building. Inside is nice. Brown wood interior with a lot of green plants. There’s lots of seating too, booths or tables. We each had phở and we ordered the pork spring rolls, which I posted a photo of. The phở was good, came out quick and hot. Nice, balanced broth. The steak and brisket were okay. The spring rolls were good. You get two in the order, each cut in halves. They had your usual filling plus pickled carrots and a thick, sweet peanut sauce. I’d say it is up there in my list of Viet spots. I’d come back again for more if I were in the area.

Phở Bac Hoa Viet has decent phở. Located near the highway 50 on and off ramps and right off of Bradshaw. Pros: — Tons of parking — Quick and easy meal — Service is good Cons: — Phở broth a little too salty — Sizes of bowls is deceiving. Their extra large is really a large and their large is really a medium. — Prices are a little high compare to other places. Their«large» is about $ 8 to $ 9. They do have a phở challenge if you are crazy to try it!

It’s a pretty good spot for a bowl of phở. I give the food 3 stars: pretty good broth, good noodles, pretty good meats, and good deep fried egg roles! I ordered the rare steak phở BUT I asked for the rare steak on the side! Here’s why: I like my meet more on the rare side and you can control how rare you want it when it’s cooking in your own broth! Usually if you order it they cook the steak in the pot and sometimes the steak can get too tough and dry because it’s been cooking in the pot longer! The rice noodles are good but nothing different from other phở places. The broth is good… Good balance of flavors and steaming hot! The deep fried egg rolls are good and crispy and FULL of flavor. They have a variety of dishes on the menu… From duck egg noodle soup, beef stew egg noodle soup, to chicken and combo phở, to pan fried chow mein, to rice plates. They have boba drinks and ice coffee drinks as well! The service is decent… Quick and efficient… Nothing out of the ordinary. Check this: try and take the Phở challenge!!! Eat a bowl of phở: 2 lbs of noodles and 2lbs of meats = to 4XL phos!!! If you complete it, your bowl is free and you get a t shirt as a prize! Haha, no help or partners… Many have entered and few have won!!! I mark off 1 star for this: it needs to tidy up! The tables were sticky I refuse to sit at a booth because I can see food on the booth seats and WHO knows what STUCK in there… Blah!!! Lastly I don’t like how some employees roll the NASTY dishes cart around to clear dishes but when you are eating and you see that or even smell the it, it’s GROSS and can make u loose your appetite!!! But for the most part, it’s good food! Just tidy up the joint!

FOOD: Their phở broth has great flavor to it, and it’s not oily. When I lived in Sacramento this was my go-to place for soup whenever I had a cold. I always enjoy their bbq style beef with vermicelli or rice plate meals. Small size is good enough for me. DRINKS: Their Vietnamese coffee is really strong! I had it once to-go, and it made me jittery, but it is supposed to be strong so if you’re a hard core coffee drinker and want something strong, then this is for you. They have other drinks like coconut, thai iced tea, and any of them you can add boba tapioca balls to. PHOKINGCHALLENGE: They have a phở challenge for 2 lbs of beef, noodles, and broth. You get a T-shirt that says PHOKINGCHAMPION. How funny is that! They have photos by the front door and near the bathrooms of people who completed the challenge. STAFF: Overall nothing to complain about the customer service whenever I have been here. Their T-shirts are funny. Phở-nny? I just thought of that. One says«Will work for phở» or «What the phở?». INSIDE: Not a glamorous phở place. Tall windows that let in a lot of light, but the floors and décor are more on the dark side so it doesn’t feel as bright as you’d think. Good sized restaurant. This place could use a renovation, but I’ve been coming here for the past 7 years, which includes when I used to live in Sacramento, and stop bys on my way back to the Bay Area after going to the snow in Lake Tahoe. At one point there were what looked like bullet holes through the windows, but they fixed it because I don’t see those holes anymore. BATHROOMS: Women’s room isn’t bad. Nice décor. PARKING: Outside parking lot feels sketch because next to it is a wire fence and open land. I have a feeling they’ve had break-ins because inside the restaurant I see a TV screen behind the counter with video showing a view of the parking lot. OVERALL: I’m a fan of this place. Food is good, fairly fast service, and low prices. Also have a couple TV’s with sports on. And it’s great they are open late. I think I’d add another star if the inside was more updated.
