Best food and service anywhere in Sacramento. I need this place in my life! Best Ckn an Waffles I have ever tasted their frd ckn is always hot an the flavor an crispy skin taste so good. Honestly I have never had a bad meal here an I have already tried half the menu!!!

Here for the 100 0000^th time; got the T-​bone steak and it is fantastic as always. Service is awesome too, despite the fact that it’s super late. Kindra is a great waitress. She makes me feel welcomed every time, always checked up on me if I needed any refills or needed anything extra.

My go to spot for a Prime Rib dinner for $ 7.49. You gotta try it with Disco fries! YUM!

The food and staff are always great here! Today I got an order togo which consisted of a salad and sandwich and they forgot to pack a fork and napkins. Usually this would be okay but I took my food back to the office and now 1 of us cannot eat because a salad was ordered and no fork. This is quite frustrating when you spend a lot of money on food and cannot eat it!

I am so tired of mushy hash browns cooked on one side. Especially after I asked for crispy hash browns. When she brought me new ones, they were like mashed potatoes in the middle. An burnt on the outside.
One of my eggs was broken and all folded over. Just really bad. Not even as good as Dennys. But twice the price.
We will not be coming back.

Use to come with the boys all the time when we use to get out late from work. The service was great and food was awesome. The burgers are what kept me coming again and again. They always check up on you and make sure that you’re enjoying the food. Will be coming again soon when I’m in the area.

Always good. It’s not the best food. But price and value is there. Open 24hrs a day. I’ll eat here over Denny’s any day.

Decided to come here again for some cheap good meal since my friend recommend me to come here for their special. The casual diner environment at its best.

The special is $ 7.49 for a limited time. I got the dinner special which comes with steak, mash and chicken noodle soup. The choices i got to choose were steak, and then fries, mash, or bake potato, and soup or salad.

The steak was in a good size cut and round. The presentation to it as great and was char grilled good. Was it the best? no, but it was worth the money i pay for. It wasn’t chewy or like you can’t swallow it. It was ok, but will it make me crave it, probably not.

The mash is actually good. loved the gravy and it was flavorful too. It was a big size scoop, and worth the buck. Although in my picture might look plastic or fake but presentation wasn’t at its best.

The chicken noodle soup was ok. It had big chunks of chicken, noodles, and veggies in it. The broth was different and doesn’t feel too hearty.

Service — they were pretty good, didnt leave my empty glass of water too long. They brought me extra napkins, which was a plus. Also i requested some horse radish and they were quick on it.

Overall i had a quick dinner, and it was ok and worth the buck i pay for. I say take advantage of a cheap meal, because for sure better than some mc d. I think this place rocks for some late night food, but during day time, its kind of eh. On my previous review i talked about the late night snacky i had. Thanks for reading and grub on!

Hmmmm. Their burgers, and frys, Union rings, pancake breakfast plates and steak plates are bomb! So is the clam chowder soup!

I have been here several times and still haven’t tried everything! People here are awsome too. I live in Texas and come to visit my friends a few times in a year and we always come here as «our diner» (: love the Belgian waffle, quesadilla, omelets and the country fried steak! Wish this place was back at home.

Definitely a perfect late night grub if you stay around florin.
Our waitress was nice and kind. Her name was Samantha. I had to ask her her name just so I can write her in this review. Super kind and quick with our order.
I had the chicken fried steak, my girl had the Belgium waffle meal… everything was delicious and freshly made.

I’m giving this place 5 stars based off of how well my waitress took care of us! She was extremely friendly and made sure our drinks were topped off at all time.
We all ordered something a little different, and there were about 5 of us. They had to sit us at two separate booths but it was ok because they were busy.
The food was great for basic setup, I ordered the sausage/​bacon and French toast with scrambled eggs. Good stuff! Here are a couple of pictures of my food as well as a couple other plates.

Strawberry Milkshake is a must have here. Turkey club is good.(Hint: ls even better if u dip it in their awesome ranch). Steak is cook to perfection. Fries and onion rings are delicious. Services is good and the waitress was nice.

OP’s is a South Sac OG when it comes to breakfast. You get traditional American-​style food, weak coffee, great service, and huge portions. My first cup of coffee was lukewarm before we even ordered our food, but the servers are really good about refilling your cup o’ joe. I just wish it were a stronger tasting coffee. I ordered the veggie scramble bowl, full of veggies and potatoes and topped off with a slice of swiss cheese. It was delicious and filling and not gut-​busting. My family also ordered the waffle with fruit (apples, strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream), the «Iowa» chicken fried pork loin, and the porterhouse steak and eggs. Everyone was satisfied with their big ol’ plates of food. I would say the flavors ranged from mediocre (steak) to really good (waffle). My bf ordered his eggs over-​hard which came out closer to over-​easy, but he didn’t complain and ended up eating them anyways with his somewhat tender steak. I think he was just really hungry.
I would come back to Original Perry’s, if I’m in the area, and craving a classic old school diner breakfast.

Great breakfast and diner! They’re portions are low priced and gigantic. They make sure the large plate is full too! I came in at 8:00 am for breakfast with my friend and there was only one waitress. She did a fabulous job. Very quick and efficient and polite. She knew exactly what we needed and always came around with extra water and coffee. Probably the best waitress I’ve ever encountered at a restaurant.
The food was pretty good too, depending on what you get. I came here two times already. The first time, I got the Doc’s omelette. It was okay; kinda soggy though but at least I felt healthy while eating it (lol). The second time, I had some country fried chicken with eggs and hash. Not bad at all! Many other places have very salty chicken but this place is more suited to my tastes. It was seasoned just to the right amount of salt for me. Their salads are fresh too. My friend got some fried shrimp, fish and French fries. I loved their french fries. It was hugely sliced and fried fresh in the morning. The seafood was pretty good too. Forget Applebee’s, Denny’s, and all those other usual diners. I’m going here from now on when I am hungry late at night or early in the morning.

This place is about on par with expectations across the board with one BIG exception. At the time of this review they offer a prime rib special for $ 7.49 that comes with a roll, soup or salad, and your choice of mashed & gravy, baked or french fries (likely a rice or other side option as well, but not sure). The place certainly has no lack of character or characters, Just a humble truck stop with most of the menu being a tad over priced and most of the food lacking in any level of flavor. If your idea of seasoning includes salt and pepper, and if you like your food in a very simple diner style this might be a really good place for you. It’s a two star stop with a little hidden gem that bumps it to three for me.
I’ve come here on a fairly infrequent basis over the last few years, in large part because the banners that promoted a steak and a prime rib special were taken down. I had a hankering for slab of prime rib on the cheap a few weeks back and chose to place a call. To my surprise the special is still on 7 days a week from 4 – 10. I think it used to be $ 6.99 but what’s an extra 50 cents (food costs are going up ~insert sarcasm~). In any event the meat is solid in flavor, hard to mess up a cut of beef like this. The portion is fair, I would guess in the 6 – 8 ounce range. The waitress and staff were diligent and everything was done right. The clam chowder was thick as pudding (not my preference) and the baked potato tasted like it was done hours before.
Hard to complain much given the price and the friendly service. I’ll be headed back for a slab of beef in the near future.

Went in around 2 am in the weekend. Its been a while since we have been here and usually the service is good and food. They dropped the ball for this party of 4. We were seated right away but we were waiting for our order to be taken and didn’t get asked about refills. The server was nice, but the food wasn’t this time. My gravy over biscuits were too peppery, the meat skillet was ok. On another order the stuffing that came with the turkey and potatoes was watery and squishy. The waitress did ask if we wanted the stuffing to be replaced. Another order has a regular breakfast plate and their hash browns were overcooked. We did let the guy who took our check know about the food and he said there was a new cook. Well I’d rather not be the person they practice on. Usually at 2am any food would taste good, but not this time. Maybe we will try them out again in a couple of months.

I meet with my grandpa here once a month to have breakfast and to catch up since it is SO close to kaiser. I like that that their breakfast can be very simple or a little more filling. The coffee keeps coming and the food is great and served fast, can’t ask for better than that!
My grandpa loves the «localness» feeling of the restaurant which brings him back to my grandmas cooking. all-​in-​all a great place to eat!

When I woke up this morning I knew it was going to be a very special day.
Today is my birthday. I know your curious as to how old I am but I signed secret documents saying I cannot divulge that information, «Top Secret».
There are so many local businesses that offer huge discounts or even no charge at all for their services on your birthday. Here is just one example. We went to breakfast at the Original Perry’s Diner on Stockton Boulevard. They will subtract up to 8 dollars off your bill. The restaurant’s interior décor needed updating. My wife’s seat had a hole in it and their Tiffany lamps made the restaurant seem old. The men’s bathroom had a strong musty smell that permiated in the air.
TV monitors lined the walls. The food was very good. I had scrambled eggs, 2 sausages and 2 pancakes. Service was slow because at the time there was only 1 waitress working and she didn’t look happy!
They are open 24 hours a day. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or that late night snack.

The foods are good for diner that is catered for trucker.
