Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop

This is by far my favorite sandwich place I’ve ever eaten at. The manager/​owner is very friendly and after I had gone only a few times they already remembered me and helped make my sandwich even better. Shortly after I just had to go in and order «the regular».
Both the Baja sauce and garlic sauce are delicious!

Love Mr. Pickles. Always go when I come to NoCal. Great sandwich shop. Unlike Subway they give you plenty of meat and cheese and the selection is awesome and tasty!

1. Don’t get greeted when walking in the door.
2. Employees avoiding eye contact.
3. Dude who made my sandwich — his name tag was upside down.
4. Asked 2x what I want on it. AND STILL GETS IT WRONG
5. Sandwich didn’t even come with all the ingredients listed, guy kept looking at the board as if he didn’t know and still managed to screw up my sandwich.

Had a #8 from there today, and it was just OK. I haven’t been to a Mr. Pickles in over 10 years & I’m not sure if I’m that excited about coming back unless I had a coupon or something

Ok so I totally forgot the name of the sandwich I chose, but it was really yummy. It was one of the local faves sandwiches. It had chicken, avocado, bbq sauce, and etc. My boyfriend had the Italian which is the type of sandwich he usually gets at most sandwiches places.
The posters on the walls are amusing. Oh, and i got the Dewshine cause I thought it’d be interesting to try a clear soda that’s not Sprite.

Mr pickels, way more than just a pickel as a side to your sandwich. Still having great service and food, time for update.
Still have awesome sandwiches and bread, love the spinach wraps or the dutch crunchy goodness. They have some wicked good choices of there prenamed sandwiches, some of my favs are the hot T, mr pickel, L’Michelle and the chicken salad. You can also make your own choices for any sandwich you so desire to make.
Breakdown of there options
BREAD:
Dutch crunch roll, sourdough roll, sweet roll, sliced wheat, marble rye and ask for wrap flavors.
CHEESES:
Cheddar, swiss, monterey jack, Pepperjack, American, provolone and cream cheese.
Extras :
Cheese, meat, bacon, avacado, Cranberry sauce (love this on the turkey), Roasted red pepper hummus.
Everything thats include on sandwiches :
Mustard, mayo, Garlic Sauce (i put this on all my sandwiches), Pickels, tomotoe, red onion, lettuce, and peppercinis!
The employees there lately have been super fun and helpful, great personality. I always call my orders in and they are always on time and made right.
They have a big variety of chips, soda fountain and bottles pepsi products. They have the Dew shine in the glass, my favorite drink they have. They still give out the free cookie with ea sandwich purchased and if you like a big whole dill pickel grab one or two, cause there ownly $ 1 ea.

The food is a great alternative to McDonald’s. It was a bit hard to find as the store was hiding next to a Starbucks, but it was definitely worth the find.

Yummy! The hang loose is delicious on a dutch crunch (hot pastrami with avocado, cream cheese)! Came at around 1 which is obviously around lunch time. The wait was long but it’s okay because the staff is super friendly and bonus… I got a free cookie in my bag with my sandwich! And I love cookies so this made my day and was a nice touch because I was thinking about buying myself a cookie as well :-))

I stopped by on the way home from work to grab a turkey sandwich. The good: the girl that made my sandwich was really fast. I’m talking making my sandwich in less than a minute fast, something I’m sure most people would appreciate. The bad: the floor was littered with trash, it smelled kind of like dirty wet towel inside, it was hot inside, and the free cookie they gave me was way over-​baked and hard (although I think it’s great that they give you a free cookie with your purchase). I ordered the Tom Turkey sandwich on dutch crunch and it was just okay. The bread was actually pretty hard and was a bit difficult to bite into. I will say that the one time I came a while ago the service and sandwich was top notch. I’m thinking maybe they were having an off-​day.

I expected a bigger sandwich for $ 10…left hungry. Overpriced for what you get. The woman who made my sandwich was not very friendly or nice at all, but the lady who rang me up was super nice and friendly.

I’ve always received great customer service here. My favorite Mr Pickles! Always clean, fast service and amazing sandwiches. (I always add bacon!)

Never really know how to grade these reviews. Certainly not a 5 star restaurant, but definitely a 5 star sub sandwich. Love the Dutch Crunch roll. Sandwiches are substantial and hold up well. Have been to Subway where the sandwich gets soggy and roll falls apart– just gross. Service here is always fast and friendly. Been traveling a lot for work and this is what I really miss when I’m in that sub sandwich frame of mind. Also like the free cookie!

I feel bad that I didn’t get her name but she stayed open passed the store closing hours just for me. She didn’t even mind baking a fresh batch of bread since they were already closed. 5* on you and the cashiers customer service. Keep up the great work!

A solid reason to visit Sacramento area! Mr. Pickles is a way of life — great sandwiches and laid back atmosphere. Highly recommend you get cranberry sauce on your sandwich. The fresh avocado is great too!
For the non-​veg, the Hot «T» is a classic menu item. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed.
Now, if only if they stocked Monster in their cooler… Hmmmm

I am pretty indifferent about Mr. Pickle. I ordered a #4 (Turkey, bacon, Swiss) on a spinach wrap and found it to be rather bland. The sandwich makers were very slow and there was a line building up when I left. My sandwich maker was complaining about how she was sick — as she was preparing my food– which was an obvious turn off. I don’t think I’d necessarily choose to go here again, it was just OK.

I’ve been going to this Mr. Pickle’s spot for over 4 years. Their customer service is ALWAYS super friendly & personable. After awhile they recognized me & knew what i wanted. The sandwiches are all amazing. I usually order the same thing everytime I go, the REGGIE REGGIE. YUM. Chicken sandwich with Spicy Special sauce. Its amazing with all the veggies in it too.
Although I do miss the themed sandwiches they used to have (Florin Panther etc) the spot still has amazing food & amazing service. You’ll always leave full & satisfied.

Every time I go here the people are so friendly even taking the time to ask me how my day was. The sandwiches are always made to perfection and just the way you ask. I never get anything other than what I order. I appreciate the quality of their food and service. It’s rare to find this now a days.

Its hard to find a good sandwich shop around Sacramento. Especially close to work. But fortunately through coworkers I was blessed to be introduced to Mr. Pickles sandwich shop. Before going into detail we will cover food quality, great service, broad selection, and a free cookie to place the cherry on top of the sundae.
Food quality is the main factor that keeps not only me coming back but half my office. You have your various selection which you can’t go wrong with any of them cause they equally have great quality and will hit the spot everytime.
Service provided from the location is above and beyond. They greet you accordingly with a passion for their job. They tend to your orders and make sure that your sandwich is made preciously to your satisfaction.
When you enter this location, it will catch your eye that the selection they provide is broad. From pastrami to Turkey, from Ham to beef. With a long range of bread you can stack you sandwich upon. And if bread isn’t your way to go you can place it into a wrap (original, sun dried tomato, or even spinach) and if that doesn’t catch you can select getting it in a salad form.
After getting your sandwich. The best part is… drum roll… you get a free cookie with your meal. No other location does that for you and its just an added bonus to your experience. Find your first hand yourself and enjoy this establishment sandwiches.
