Decent food. Note that depite the listing as a Chinese restaurant and the prominent banner advertising their Thai food it is a Vietnamese restaurant. That isn’t bad it’s just something to be aware of. The menu is in the quaint style used in restaurants run by recent immigrants, with the Vietnamese dishes listed bilingually and the English descriptions spottily translated. When I ordered the spring rolls which were mislabelled on the menu as egg rolls the waiter was very quick to make sure I was aware of what I was actually ordering. The spring rolls go well with the peanut sauce that comes with them. I also ordered the pork chop on rice. The pork and vegetables were ok. Perhaps I haven’t had well made jasmine rice in too long but what really struck me about the dish was the steamed rice. It isn’t every day one encounters notably tasty steamed rice but this place really outdid themselves there. My dining partner ordered the chicken curry vermicelli. He said the curry was very mild and he wasn’t used to large pieces of meat on the bone in a soup. It was a generous portion of soup entirely adequate for a full meal, as one would expect from a noodle house.

First, I don’t know why I keep seeing reviews that say the service here is poor or «typical Vietnamese restaurant service». This is honestly the best service I’ve had yet at a phó restaurant yet. The phó was delish and the pot stickers were easily the best I’ve ever had. The only reason I give it four stars is because the floors are pretty gross. Like, «I Can Feel the Grime Underneath Me Through My Shoes» gross. The bathroom had this«post apocalyptic» vibe to it. It’s pretty bad if you feel safer having your kid pee their pants instead of sit on the toilet seat. I should have expected all of this though. It used to be a Dennys. Albeit, the worst Dennys in existence. Would come back.

Cheap, really good noodles — my favorite is vermicelli with pork but the Phở is good too. Good service — best cheap good meal around!

Interior: 7/10, Food: 9/10, Service: 8⁄10(It’s a phở restaurant). I was driving back to the bay area from Reno and felt like a bowl of phở. I checked with SIRI for local restaurants and Kim Long popped up and was still open. What a pleasant surprise, the phở was pretty good and not loaded with MSG. Would I go again? Yes.

I had phở. It was good. I also got 2 orders of fried rice. I don’t know how they made the rice cause it tasted without flavor and not even fried. I was surprised they could not make fried rice. Besides that it wa okay.

Went in for take out last night. I ordered a large beef phở, a seafood noodle, and two banh mi sandwiches. One grilled pork and the standard ham and head cheese. I had the beef phở. Pretty authentic to me but I’m no expert. It was good. My wife enjoyed the seafood noodle. Today I had the grilled pork banh mi. I threw it in the toaster oven to give the bread a refresh. The sandwich was good. The grilled pork was a bit salty for my taste but overall very flavorful. So I’d give the food an «B». I went to the restaurant at about 6pm on Monday. It was dead in there. Only saw at most two booths with customers. Maybe the area doesn’t support this type of food. I hope it’s there for a long time. Nothing like it in the area. They also have Chinese and Thai dishes as well. Maybe next time.

Great Chinese and vietnamese food! Great fast service and awesome to go. Love their Phở! They also make good shakes, the Taro is my favorite. I have also had their sandwhiches, which are yummy. It’s not super fancy, but if you want good food, large portions at an affordable price come try this place! You won’t be disappointed!!! Been here about 5 times and have eaten here and taken out. The food has never disappointed me. Don’t be discouraged by the negative reviews!!! Try it yourself, and your taste buds will thank you :)

Tried for the first time since it opened. Great service, bit of a language barrier but friendly and helpful. Vietnamese iced coffee was great, I tried the wonton soup. I wish it had just a bit more salt, but otherwise the quality was good and the portion size was hearty. Will come back to try the Chinese side of the menu and will be trying the rest of the soups during winter

I’m am a San Jose native and I just moved to Sacramento so you know I’m spoiled by good bay area food. So when one of the passengers in my car yelled out«kim long! make a u-turn». I was like«what hell?! No way! Heck yeah! Ok!» So we head inside the restaurant looks clean. The seat us promptly, I ask that lady working if they are related to the kim long in San jose. She says yeah they are and asks me to tell her how they compare with the original. I really should have ordered the order the phở, but I order the mi wonton. My companions ordered the kim long fried rice and the kim long broken rice plate special with two strawberry shakes. The service was really friendly, they even gave us some moon cake while we were waiting for our food. I would give my noodle soup a 3⁄5 will have to try the phở next time though. The fried rice 4⁄5 cause I make it at home and I eat it at alot of different places as well, and you would have to blow me out of the water with something special to get a 5. The the companion that had the broken rice plate says she gives it a 7⁄10. The strawberry shakes were delish. All in all I loved the friendliness and the food was good enough for me to come back and try more of what they have to offer.

angel wings w a side of sticky rice. The chicken was good, nothing too exciting. My sticky rice was wrapped in plastic wrap& it looked like a good amount. But it was old & hard when you get to the center of the rice. It was like as if they just wrapped new sticky rice over an old batch. Shrimp & pork over rice plate. Great! Perfect amount of meat & rice. Kim long combo fried rice. Large portion, we couldn’t finish it all in one seating. The leftovers went bad within a hour inside the fridge. I was bummed out cuz it was good & I hate to waste food.

What can I say… it’s inexpensive, it’s no gourmet restaurant, simple… and its close to my home. If I’m craving for a banh mi sandwich, banh xeo or anything Vietnamese and do not feel like driving to the south… this place will do for now…

I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I came in around 12:30 for lunch. The place was nearly empty which always raises a flag but I didn’t come here to count customers. A waitress came over pretty quickly and sat me down near the front door. I decided to order a large bowl of Phở to see if there was any chance of finding good tasting Vietnamese soup north of Stockton Blvd. When the waitress carried over to serve me, I was pleasantly surprised. The soup was hot and steaming and the broth was rich and meaty. What is there to complain about here? I immediately dropped in my raw vegetables and stirred. This was good, and I mean really good. Was it as good as the Phở places on Stockton Blvd? I have to say yes. The meat nearly melted in my mouth. No chewy gristle here. I will return and try something else but for sure this is good food at a bargain price.

The food was okay nothing I was amazed by & would come back for, but the customer service was horrible ! Not the worst place I’ve ever eaten, but certainly not the best.

Came here with my aunty and friend for a quick phở fix. It was right down the road so we wanted to give it a try. Our server was okay, could use some new friendly, preferably young servers. I noticed two of the female servers had trouble with the table near us, maybe they had some type of miscommunication. So that might need some work… The XL Phở combo was pretty big, I never felt so bloated and didn’t even drink any soup like I usually do at all the other phở joints I go to. Prices were reasonable, food tasted okay. Our egg rolls were a little burnt, but I could care less since I was starving. I ordered the mama kim special, or atleast thats what Rommel called it(Rommel is the manager, sorry if I spell your name wrong). He had great customer service skills, checking on customers and talking up a quick convo!!! 4 star review for you brother!!!

This was really bad. The soup was bland, half of the ingredients that were listed to be present in my phở were not there, there were specks of some black crap in my water, and the waiter blew us off for the rest of the time. He even made a snarky comment about me finishing my soup after all was said and done. Dude, when I order tendon in my soup, and make a big deal about loving tendon, you need to LETMEKNOW before I spend WAYTOOMUCHMONEY on a soup that has NOTENDONINIT. Don’t give me the excuse after the order is placed. I would have liked to have known you were out of tendon before I placed my order– I would have ordered something different. Sad.

First off… The previous reviews of this place are way too harsh! Like all the other reviews say the staff are really good and attentive. Where I think the phở here is really good. The mix phở is really the best one. Their meatballs are really good and usually I don’t like the Vietnamese meatballs. It’s very clean. I don’t think they need the entire space they are in, but every inch of it is clean. I highly recommend this place.

Don’t come here expecting excellent customer service. I mean, I have yet to come across any Vietnamese soup spot that DIDHAVE excellent customer service so it was already expected. The location seems very sketchy but this is the closest soup spot to us and I will definitely be back! The food was very tasty and such a GREAT price. Spent under $ 25 for 2 soups and fresh spring rolls! :) if you are in this area and are craving Phở or any big bowled soup I’d definitely recommend! =)
