K & D Hair Salon & Tanning

I decided to come to this hair salon based on my sister’s recommendation. She had a great experience, so when I told her I was due for a trim she knew exactly where I should go. Karin cut my hair and I’m very pleased with the results as the length is still what I wanted and my hair looks so much more healthy! Karin is quick and efficient, the cut took an estimated 20 minutes. The price is extremely reasonable 15 $ total for a trim and quick blow dry, you really can’t beat that. I’ll definitely be coming back to get my regular trims here.

I was referred here by a friend and I haven’t been anywhere since. I’ve been coming here for about 6 months now. I always call ahead and ask for Kitty. She knows what I like and she does exactly what she says she’s going to do. So there are no surprises at the end.

Today was my first visit to this salon. I called at 9:12am hoping to make a same day appointment but wasn’t expecting to get one since it was so last minute but to my surprise, the lady that picked up asked what time I could come in. I said 4pm and she asked if I can make it 4:30pm. I said «sure» happy to know that I would be seen today since I’ve been so tired of my hair lately and needed a change badly.
My experience was great. I was seen by Karin and she was remarkable. She was extremely pleasant and engaged in a friendly and genuinely interested conversation with me. She took her time, gave me more highlights than I asked for (I only asked for my crown to be done to have the cost be less), explained what she was going to do, gave me her recommendations so that my hair wouldn’t get damaged, toned more sections of my hair (that she didn’t even highlight) to match the rest and even went beyond the salons close time to accommodate me. And even when the close time was approaching, she did not rush me. That is excellent customer service in my opinion.
I asked if next time, she could lighten my hair like a picture I showed her and she said she would not recommend it because my hair isn’t healthy enough to go that light and my hair is starting to break at the ends. She could have easily lied and told me to do it so she could make more money off me but she was honest and I really appreciate that.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this salon and would for sure go back. Karin is awesome! I think I just found my new stylist .
Edit: came back a second time for more highlights and requested Karin again. She was just as pleasant as my first encounter with her. She really takes her time and cares about what you want and making you happy.

Karen did my highlights and cut. She was referred by a friend and I was very pleased with the outcome! She is very sweet and did everything to make it exactly what I asked for. She fit me into her schedule and made both my daughter and I feel very welcome. She also did a nice trim for my daughter. I see why her clients stay with her for years and years!

Ive been going here for about 10 years. I moved about 20 minutes away from here but still make the trip every month. I won’t go anywhere else for a haircut. I don’t even wait for a specific person because they all do a great job!

I had called earlier in the morning on Saturday hoping to get an appt. with Kitty and they were able to squeeze me in! I heard that this place can get busy so it’s best that you make an appt and it’s also my first time coming here from a recommendation.
I got there 20 after 12 and Kitty was with another client. My appt. was at 12:30 so I sat and waited for her. The place was indeed busy and the workers seemed really nice and it’s actually cleaner then most Asian salons that I’ve been too but of course I don’t mind. Kitty greeted me and then asked what I had in mind. I only wanted a trim and so she started the process. Kitty is very honest and I like the fact that she’s updated with the new styles. We were talking most of the time which made the cut go by faster and i enjoyed our conversation. She’s very pleasant and I really appreciate the fact that she took her time.
I use to pay 50+ for a haircut but you definitely can’t beat $ 15. I’m looking forward for my next visit and could not be any happier with this place.

I always come here to have Kitty do my hair either cut or color.
I’ve only dealt with Kitty and I like the way she does my hair because she tells me exactly what she plans on doing with my hair and what style or look I will get and how to take care of my hair. I would say she is friendly and so are the other ladies.
I always call and book appointments, I don’t recommend just walking in because they always seem busy and I don’t like to wait, so I always call first.

Kitty is the best! You might have to wait a few when you have an appointment but she will absolutely give you the same care. I feel great everytime I step out of there. She has done highlights, updos, and just plain «I wanna go out and feel great dos.» The price is very reasonable and I would never think of going anywhere else except if I had to follow her :)

This is probably the default salon that I would go to mostly because of their price and quality of service, I have known these ladies for years through my mom so I’ve been coming here for a long time! They do just about everything that you would want for your hair and they also provide a variety of other salon services such as tanning or waxing and they even do nails, although I come here mostly for a haircut or style. I am usually satisfied with the results and the staff is super friendly so I definitely recommend this place!

These ladies know how to cut hair. I HATE getting hair cuts (as you can tell by my pictures), and usually don’t trust the person cutting my hair. However, I got my hair cut here for years and was always satisfied and never nervous. They are reasonably priced, friendly, and will be cordial with you, but not get too talky.
They sometimes yell at each other in a different language, but this never bothered me. I never felt like they were talking crap about customers or keeping secrets. Their accents are thick but I never had trouble understanding them. Good people and a good salon.
