Went in tonight with a friend and the wings we ordered we good but the stroganoff was awful. I tried to eat it because i didnt want to be rude but after the 3rd bite i was beyond grossed out. I let the waitress know it wasnt good and she offered to bring me something else but at that point i wasnt feeling very good. When she brought the check she didnt take the stroganoff off which i was surprised about since most places will. Its not like i ate half my plate and decided i didnt want it. Most likely wont be coming back here.

Great late night spot a good friend showed me, excellent happy hour, everything I’ve had so far is good and they are open late. Love it so far. Attentive waitresses and good ac for the Sacto heat. Plan on becoming a late night nonalcoholic regular

This place is terrible was my second time and service was pretty slow and bad the first time but wanted to give it a second chance. This was a HUGE mistake! The first problem was we asked for separate checks for business purposes and you would think we wanted their first born. Food was okay but too pricy for what you get. It took forever to get our food, added on an automatic 18.5% gratuity for each separate check, the charge for the meals were higher than the menu listed price, the food was cold by the time most of us got it, the steak was over cooked appoand even though we asked for our checks before we got our food, they just stacked them in a pile at the bar and wouldn’t bring them to us for almost 30 minutes. I will NEVER go back! Terrible service, food is NOT worth the price! I’ll be going to the grocery co-op when in in this area of town from now on. MULTITHUMBSDOWN for Ink!

I tried this place out during a lunch break while visiting Sacramento for training with coworkers based on recommendations from other people and Unilocal.I heard great things about the food and I was excited to check it out. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. If you come in a group of 6 or more, an 18% gratuity fee is automatically added on and you’ll be waiting for awhile. While you’re waiting, don’t expect decent service. Lower your standards and get ready to send a search party to find someone to give you a check. Need to split the check? Add extra time to your visit. We asked in advance and were told they could accommodate us. It took over 40 minutes, 4 tries, and a game of hide and seek with our server to get our checks which had been sitting in pile behind counter the entire time. I wish I could say the food was worth the wait but I would be lying. Some were good while others were undercooked, incomplete, and/or cold. One person in our party had to leave before her food arrived to make it back to our training on time and let our instructors know that we would be late. Part of her meal was missing and when we brought it to the restaurants attention, they fixed it. By fixed it, I mean they placed a third cup of cold rice in a container and added it to the bag. It was so light I peeked to make sure it wasn’t empty. Her lunch looked so disappointing that I apologized for it when I brought it to her. Good thing I did since the meat was rubbery and overcooked. The hot wings were alright but I was not expecting lukewarm hot wings in cold sauce. I suppose I should just be thankful it was fully cooked unlike my coworker’s undercooked salmon /suprise sashimi. I’m sure this place is fantastic at night but it’s not a good place to have lunch if you want a filling, moderately priced meal in a timely manner.

The food here is amazing, I have been coming here for so many years. Why does the service SUCK? This doesn’t make sense… I’m a server, so I know the usual issues. I have been serving in Sacramento for years at many places, yet I never understand why I get the worse service here. Early this morning my server was Laura, she was a new face which is usually pleasant to know. I don’t know what happened, but I waited forever for my food. I came in 20 minutes before closing so I immediately ordered an appetizer and entrée the first time she came to the table, I hate causing people to stay late. Next thing you know over 25 minutes had passed and all of the food was delivered at once. The part that was irritating is about 5 minutes before I received my food I looked at the table of rowdy men that came in AFTERME and what do you know, food on their table. I ordered my food 10 minutes before these guys were sat and wasn’t being a jerk like them, they got their food first. I feel sad for the owners, if they had a better team this wouldn’t happen and cause them to lose so much business. I have had problems probably 10 times a year for the past at three or four years.

This place has always been there for me. It was there for me at 2am when we all needed to eat after a full night of drinking. When we needed brunch the next day. Always a great atmosphere! Even years later when I was pregnant and needed the mac n cheese or meatloaf late at night. This place is usually open and the food is yummy. So yeah, this place rules!

Inks is one of those fun places where you can go anytime of day and never question whether your food will be good. Anything you order, brunch, appetizer, sandwiches, desserts, drinks too! Every entrée is made from scratch and the customer service never fails. It’s a good spot for a first date or someone you want to impress food wise. Especially if you’re a fan of tattoos. If your grandma yells at you for yours, you may not want to bring her here. The shaved prime rib is my favorite of what I have tried so far; the Mac and cheese and the artichoke hearts also stick out to me as one of their many yummy choices. The crispy chicken sandwich is popular but VERY spicy so eat with caution.

I’ve been ‘Ink’ed twice, well at least as far as food goes. The first time I came here after having a drink at a bar close by. The hours are awesome for those who are looking for a unique, local experience and who are not quite in the mood for a national diner chain when they want to eat past 10 p.m. More recently, I had Ink delivered through Caviar after an injured foot left me wanting to kick it inside last weekend. The food is good, I had their Guinness shredded pork sandwich topped with onion strings, a side of garlic fries(that could have used a spoonful of garlic in addition to the scattered amount included in order to have a consistent, hearty taste) and the house salad. The sandwich and salad were good and a brownie sundae, I had on my first visit was on point. Things to note are that the service is great, everyone to the hostess to the bus boy are genuinely friendly and are efficient. The food delivered by Caviar arrived hot. Also appreciated is that Ink included ketchup for my fries, which I totally didn’t expect a restaurant to think of. It’s worth trying Ink for a fun way to soak up late night drinks, or to ease the pain of a bruised foot ;)

Late night happy hour is what I’m talking about… Came here with a party of 6 people, just beware they add 18% gratuity to the bill so don’t be surprised. we were here 15 mins early before the happy hour started but we got our water on first. Once it was time we were ready to order the whole menu along with some more drinks. For me i got a pbr and that was a steal for only $ 2 during happy hour. Food Fried zesty lemon Artichoke hearts — On the first bite you can really taste the zest. The lemon scent flavor is strong. The batter is quite crispy and with the ranch dip it was yummy! calamari — Chewy and tasty! love the red sweet sauce on it, which remind me of sweet and sour sauce. There was some aioli sauce as well which was very creamy and tasty as well. Crispy fries — These were ok, nothing to special. These were crunchy tho. Beef sliders — soft little buns with one slice of pickle inside. The meat was moist and juicy. Love how simple this slider is and perfect for soaking up all the drinks. nachos — overall i don’t really like their chips because they are a bit tougher and hard. The stuff on top of it was good though. Love the cheese, sour cream, and beans and all the good stuff. artichoke dip with chips — Same kind of chips like the nachos, which i wasn’t really a fan of its texture. The dip was creamy good. Overall the menu for their happy hour is ok. My favorite was the beef slider and the calamari. The service was great they did check up on us and refilled our water cups and made sure everything was ok. They did forget my order of calamari but it came out in minutes after i asked where it went. I think this is a great place to come and check out and have some late night foods if your in midtown. Thanks for reading and have a great day.

Updated a second time. I don’t live next door anymore, but Ink deserves five stars from me now, because their bottomless mimosa brunch is the best I’ve ever had from anywhere. They aren’t skimpy with their champagne and really have grasped the concept of BOTTOMLESS. I don’t understand why places with ‘bottomless’ service wouldn’t be at your table every five minutes(if that’s your pace) to refill your mimosa. Well, Ink has grasped it and I hope it never changes, unless for the better. Somehow. Rock. Also, the fried egg sandwich is still my favorite and I still get it every single time because it’s STILLRAD.

I freaking love this place! It reeks of chill vibes and everyone is so friendly. The décor is pretty dramatic and fits the tattoo parlor inked scene(hence the name)!! It’s one of those places that you might even see Kat Von D strut in!(Ha I wish. and only if it were in LA) I came with my sister and her baby for brunch on a Sunday morning and the hostess that met us allowed us to choose a booth and when she noticed that the baby carrier was too wide to fit in the booth she made a great recommendation to use a high chair(turned upside down) so the carrier would just sit on it. It worked perfectly. And unlike some places I’ve been to that see a baby they clearly frown and cringe, this hostess was super nice! Our waitress was also just as nice and — omg — Happy with none of the *itchiness that some girls think is OK to have if you’re in a place such as this(don’t you love coming into restaurants that have just real, friendly and happy employees??) and she was also quick and attentive.

$ 10 bottomless mimosas. Thank you. Also the country burrito shared between two girls was just enough for me! It was delicious! One complaint– customers pour and mix their own mimosas so we would run out of OJ or champagne once and while and no one would come to refill.

Came here for a girls brunch & had a great time! We sat outside & had the most attentive waitress! The bottomless mimosas were literally bottomless(not once did we need to ask for refills). I ordered the turkey omelette, fresh & brightly flavored… Very tasty! Im not one for country potatoes(or breakfast for that matter), but they were great & my friends seemed to really enjoy their food as well! We had a great brunch here & every other time I’ve been here had a great meal! Will definitely have to stop by again :)

I went to Ink a few weeks ago with a couple friends to hangout during Happy Hour and have a few eats and drinks. They have a big interior, nice bar and a small patio out front, so I was surprised at how crowded they got for a Wednesday night; the place was packed! The Happy Hour menu includes a few discounts off cocktails and beer/wine as well as a nice«bites» menu which only had one or two Vegetarian options. I opted instead for drinks from their $ 5 special cocktail menu(on the wall by the door) and their Nacho Black Bean Burger with Garlic Fries form their regular menu. The $ 5 cocktails I had(Watermelon Mint Margherita and Cherry Lemonade) were good, but I had zero buzz off of two cocktails so I believe they were made pretty weak. I would choose beer next time. The Nacho Burger came with a Black Bean Patty with Cheese Sauce, Jalapeños, Tomato and Guacamole on a bun with Garlic Fries. Everything was ok. The whole burger was a little dry, and the garlic fries could have used more seasoning. Service was good and the place was kept clean. I would come back again if some of my friends wanted to go, but I wouldn’t chose it on my own.

First off I want to say we got to the restaurant around 1:20 am and given that, the customer service was still excellent. We had a short hair blond host who was so sweet and kind and very accommodating. Greg was am the bartender who seemed a bit short tempered but given all the responsibilities he had it only made sense but seemed like he had a long night which ties into the 3 star vs 4. We waited well over 40 mins for out bill. I had a party of four. Two members of my party went to take care of the check whereby me and another friend went to wait in the car which was parked in front of the establishment. Greg came to the car and confronted me and my friend to aggressively state you are still responsible for the bill! I kindly let him know the other two members where paying for the check.(if my intentions Where to skip the bill I would not have leisurely walked away) that was very embarrassing. The food was fair not too tasty but I respect that they stayed open late.

Today we are here at(Inks Eats & Drinks) in downtown Sacramento, California. They are well known for their«Killer» Happy Hour Appetizers! And also for their late night food offerings. We are here for an «UYE Happy Hour To Celebrate Our Jackie F. @ Inks & Drinks». From a distance we could see tables and chairs for their outdoor seating, as well as a stunning picture mural on the side of the building. As we enter the restaurant you’ll find a long cushioned bench style seating with about 3 tables, enough room to probably fit about 20 people on the left. To the right are about 8 comfortable booths. They also have a small private room in the back for small private gatherings. The bar looked pretty amazing with all the lights and colorful bottles. The bar had roughly about 15 stools plus another 5 to 6 stools on a little table just across from the bar. The walls and ceiling are filled with unique one of a kind colorful«Ed Hardy» style paintings! I found myself looking up at the ceiling quite often. I thought they were pretty«COOL». Now let’s get down to the«FOOD». Since we were there during«Happy Hour» I decided to go with their(Boneless Wings). They came in 4 flavors«Hot, Sweet&Spicy, BBQ, or Plain». I went with the bbq wings. There were 5 to 6 pieces of delicious breast meat smothered in a smoky barbecue sauce. I was not disappointed! Plus their Happy Hour Appetizers are only 4 dollars each! You can’t go wrong! Then I decided to have their«Napa Cabbage Salad»(Shredded Napa Cabbage, Grilled Chicken, Edamame, Almonds, Green Onions with a light Sesame Vinaigrette). All the ingredients worked very well together! I would definitely order this salad again! My wife had their«Caesar Salad with Salmon „(Chopped Romain Lettuce, Parmesan Cheese, and Garlic Croutons) topped with a perfectly cooked piece of grilled salmon.(Delicious !) I was impresses with the service we had today. Today’s service was fantastic! Our waitress was very pleasant and worked very hard to keep up with the demands of about“ 20 Crazy Unilocalers»! This is a perfect place to rejuvenate after a long day at the office or to meet friends after work and enjoy their«HAPPYHOUR» Food & Drink Specials ! The one star deduction was for their parking situation, which can be some what challenging during peak hours and for their bathrooms. Other than that I love the décor and the feel of «Inks Eats & Drinks» and would definitely come back in a heartbeat!

Last night on 9÷2÷2015, my fellow Unilocalers and I were dining in at Ink Eats & Drinks. As we entered, the atmosphere is very tattooed feel with the rock n’ roll touch! This place is small inside despite the capacity issues, so we did managed to get good seats before we ordered their food and drinks. The environment however is very busy throughout the entire night. The service is not that bad for me as I welcome there including requesting food and drink orders, recommendations, suggestions, etc. No issues at all. For the ordering process, I ordered a small sized sweet potato fries after I checked-in thru Unilocal app for a free request. So far, the fries is OK although some of it got stuck and attached together as I broken it off. The salt seasoning makes the sweet potato fried much better. A good appetizer meal. Next, I ordered this fabulous drink from their specialty drinks menu near the entrance door called, «Altos Watermelon Mint Margarita.» This margarita is simply remarkable and very refresh! I can feel the taste of watermelon flavor and vodka by enhancing the drink superbly. A huge cheers for this alcoholic drink! Finally, the entrée. I have the steak salad topped with thinly sliced onion rings spreaded with Cesar salad dressing. As I ate it, the salad is a hit-n-miss. The steak is OK as it fully cooked and chopped into pieces which I’m likely concerned about. Hopefully, a cooked strip of steak can be better in my opinion. The Cesar salad dressing is also too sweet for me. I’m sure it needs to reduced the sweetness of the Cesar dressing in the future. The vegetables greens(ie. lettuce and spinach) however are very fresh and eatable, so I have no problems about it. Lastly, the onion rings is alright for me although it’s unnecessary to add a topping for that salad. Overall, it an ok salad for me. The parking can be harder to park. You can park at the surface street parking anywhere you park. Otherwise, you can walk, ride a bike, or using transit without the hassles. To conclude, Ink Eats & Drinks is a fine, good rockin’ local restaurant and bar in the Midtown neighborhood where you can dine in for the jammin’ entrees and drinks all day and all night long. A well, worthy visit. My rating: 3 solid stars.

We frequented this establishment for a UYE bachelorette party last night. I had the Caesars salad and bc of my latest lab testings I decided to pass on the free order of fries bc of the high fat, high carbs! Not really healthy:( My hubby got the boneless barbecue chicken wings which was deep fried with BBQ sauce. It was so delish but deep fried! Hello!!! Not healthy Again:( After halfway into my salad which also had the salmon but a meek portioned size here comes Ken’s Napa cabbage salad with grilled chicken. Dang why didn’t I order that??? You know why? His Asian vinaigrette dressing was so yummy that I was ready to switch!!! But being the polite wife I backed off! Well when I got home last night I was still Hangry! I’m always like that after a not so fulfilling meal. I should have ordered the Mac n Cheese after seeing Jenny’s pic! Yummy! Who cares about my lab results! Lol! Will we be back? Only if there’s a special event! I have to say the company here last night made up for that!!! Yay!!!

I’ve been to Inks twice in the last month and a half. And have had good service with pretty good food. Each time I have been greeted right away and have felt welcomed. The first time that we came we let them know we would eat outside(530p) and they brought us menus, brought their drink menu(very small choice of house cocktails) and decent service. The second time we came in they greeted us at the door and we told them we would be eating outside, the guy escorted us outside and cleaned off the neighboring table in case we chose to sit there later on. Each time I’ve ordered the mojito xo I believe. Pretty good cocktail made with ginger beer and lime. The first time I came in we ordered appetizers. That wasn’t bad at all. The second time I was here, I ordered the crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. That too wasn’t bad. It came with fries. The whole time tonite that we were there our waitress checked on us without being a pest and asked to refill our drinks. She checked to see if we were enjoying our meal and had a few laughs with us as well. As soon as one of my friends finished his food, a young guy noticed, came out and removed his plate. We got our check in a timely fashion and were not rushed to leave as we had already paid. I will definitely come back, because I’ve never had a bad experience and they have always been attentive. Thanks Inks
