I feel like I am in New York again. The white sauce makes everything taste delicious. I always get the Lamb Over Rice However, I do feel like it is a bit pricey. It should be at least $ 5 instead of $ 7.75. Either lower prices or fill up our plates! In New York they give you a huge plate! Rip off

This was my first taste of Greek food and I liked it. I got the chicken and rice with extra hot sauce. I mean I like spicy food and it was decently spicy, so props to them. It was fast. It was cheap. But not the healthiest. Good opportunity to try Greek food, I think.

Does anyone know the actual recipe on how to make Spicy Chicken over Rice?

If you’re a sac state student, you know this is the place best place on campus to eat. When I come here, I always get my money’s worth. I go with mixed over rice with spicy sauce. Prices seem to go up every semester which sucks but other than that definitely great to eat here.

I used to like this place but recently they stopped giving bottled water to those who dislike soda. The meat is half of what it used to be but the price went higher. This all changed from last semester which was a few months ago. So disappointed and will never go back.

I’ve been here twice and I’ve got to say this is was the worst gyro place I’ve ever been to. I tried the lamb gyro and the chicken gyro. The lamb is cubed and almost tastes like meatloaf while the chicken is completely bland. I took off the meat on both half way through and just ate the pita. The gyro is filled mostly with shredded lettuce. TERRIBLE.

I try to go after the 12pm lunch rush because the line can get long, but even when it does it goes by quickly. Definitely a good place to pick when you get hungry while you’re on campus.

Spicy chicken over rice is the way to go. I love the sauce and ask for extra. This makes for a good lunch without making you feel overly stuffed.

Love the chicken gyro. I have a weak tongue when it comes to spicy food so i didnt get the sauce. The tzatziki sauce was so good tho with the chicken gyro, it was delicious compared to other gyros I’ve have tried before. Will definitely come back if I visit campus again.

Spicy chicken over rice with extra tzatziki sauce(Greek sauce made of strained yogurt mixed w/cucumbers, garlic, salt, olive oil). That’s the go-to meal 90% of the time when I’m on campus. It’s quick, meaty, and a hefty meal for cheap($ 7.50). It comes with that free drink too. Don’t be too discouraged when you see the long line getting there; they’re not kidding about their name — every«2 Go» is made super fast and the workers are very efficient from handling cashiering to cooking. This place is a good change from your regular 2-entrée meal from Panda or Whopper from the King. It’s no wonder this is a lot of people’s favorite spot to eat in Sac State. We’ve all had better Greek food outside, for sure, but this is a cut above the rest on campus. Give it a shot. What’s the worst that could happen? If you’re too impatient or just late for your next class, just literally face the other direction and you’re in line for Togo’s Sandwiches.

Everything’s cooked on the grill and you get to see them prepare it openly. I love that, so that way we can see what’s happening to our food to a certain extent at least. I gave it a 4 star because everything’s a combo and they do not give u a choice in not having a drink. I don’t like fountain drinks so I took the bottle of Aquafina water. They have chicken or lamb over rice combos and chicken or lamb gyros which are like tacos in falafals. There is a choice to have it spicy or not spicy. The spicy option is a drizzle of their hot sauce all over the meat. The rice was cooked perfect! It was not regular white rice, I’m not quiet sure what it is called. The rice was soft and just fell apart, cooked perfectly once again. Along with the side of rice and lamb that I ordered was a very refreshing and generous side of salad drizzled with some ranch. The portion was very generous. I loved my first experience. The meat being gyro style, lamb is basically processed and cut in to cubes, doesn’t taste like lamb, more like hot dog consistency. Chicken I am not sure, will he to try that next round definitly.

I saw people with food from here. The reason why I wanted to try this place out is because it smelled so good! They have lamb and chicken over rice with some veggies. You can request it with or without how sauce. You can also request HALFCHICKENHALFLAMB. Shhh. It’s a secret. Well not anymore since you know! :) I don’t know if it’s just the plate I had, but it was quite bland to me. For being a place to eat for STUDENTS it’s quite pricey. I haven’t had an issue with customer service, but I haven’t been there enough to know.

This place and Good Eats are the only two spots I’ll eat at on campus. Gyro 2 Go gets your food to you extremely fast(although I’ve never gone during a busy lunch hour) and their meals all come with a drink. I always order the chicken and rice with extra tzatziki sauce and light hot sauce!

Not bad for student food, unfortunately did not see a student price to go with it. Gryro is good, rice was better … Fry’s are nothing to write home about.

Gyro 2 go is my favorite spot to eat on campus. It’s quick, taste fresh, makes you full, and gets you to class with super food coma! For less than 10 bucks, you have your choice of chicken or lamb. You can get it in rice or gyro form. I normally pick up the chicken with rice, spicy please! Spicy means they top off your plate with sriracha. Yum! You can opt out of the soda which I normally do… not much of a soda drinker. It’ll take a buck off your tab.

I’ve been craving a good Gyro since I moved to Sacramento from NYC. This food court restaurant in the Riverside Center on the CSUS campus is simple, clean, accommodating and frickin good. At least the gyro is. I ordered the Lamb and Beef with heat. The meat was warm, flavorful and moist. Fresh crisp lettuce and delicious tzatziki sauce with spicy added was layered on top all inside a warm, doughy flat bread. Amazeballs I was in a hurry so I got my gyro to go but as I walked out to my car I chastised myself for not finding the accoutrements for some flavorful additions. Later, as I took the first bite, I realized it was perfectly seasoned and sauced. No additions needed. Can’t wait to go back for my next indulgence.
