Our first time having authentic Filipino food. It was slightly disappointing unfortunately. My Filipino friend invited us to have Filipino food and it was basically a food court. Thats fine but all the food was very heavy and not as exciting. It was basically bbq and fried stuff. The food was good but it wasn’t very unique. I felt like we can get bbq pork/beef at a lot of bbq places. The rice places weren’t very worth it as they give you a heaping pile of rice and very little sides. The cash register was very slow. They also have an area thats really quick and only accepts cash. I don’t think I will be coming back but it was definitely nice to experience another culture’s cuisine.

Seafood City Grill employee Jun(can’t believe he claim as the manager) was rude and unpro. I hope this guy will go over the quidelines of customer service and proper dealing with customer complaints. I ordered pork bbq to go on top of my family’s lunch dine in. Few hours after we got home(about 20 miles away I found out the meat were partially cook. I was told to come back for a refund but when I demand for my gas to be reimburse what he replied was the most popular word of a toddler«No!» There was no explanation from him at all. Great! Definitely my family will not come to this place again. Kudos to you Jun for the contribution you just made to the business.

I come to Grill City because their pork and chicken barbeque sticks are the closest I can find to homemade. That said, their other grilled items are okay. Since this is a steam table place, they put pre-cooked food for you to choose from. The quality is hit or miss depending on how long the food has been sitting there. I usually go during high traffic times like lunch and dinner because I know the food is reasonably fresh. However, in the afternoon, I have had food that tasted like it had been sitting on the steam tables for a while. As their name implies, they’re known for their grilled items such as liempo(grilled pork belly/chop), tilapia, bananas(grilled bananas are delish), karaoka(yams), just to mention a few. I also like their sinigang soup which seems to pair really well with the grilled items, especially pork. Service is not their forte. I have come during very busy times and the servers don’t seem to have any sense of urgency. I was standing in front of a staff member and she never greeted me or made any eye contact. In the meantime, she’s filling up a tray which already had plenty of food on it and having a casual conversation with one of her coworkers. I actually felt bad for interrupting them, but I had a hangry 8 year old who was getting crankier by the minute. Even when they did finally acknowledge me, it still took quite a bit of time to fulfill a very simple order. I felt bad for the folks behind me because they seemed new to Filipino food and the staff were not being helpful. They seemed exasperated and gave very short almost rude answers to the guests’ inquiries. Other customers offered more assistance than the staff. Sadly, this place does not exemplify traditional Filipino hospitality In short, good grilled food with poor customer service.

Breakfast combo to go: tuyo & langgoniza. langgoniza was hard and dry. leftover from yesterday and was reheated. dangit and corned beef. corned beef was dry, possibly also leftover from the day before. the tuyo, dangit, fried rice was freshly made. disappointed because we have eaten here before and has never been this bad. will eat here again but will be extra careful if is to go. the plan was to eat on the road to our destination. will review again on next outing

I think the food here is just okay. Your typical Filipino food, nothing special because it is made in huge portions. I ordered one of the party trays(40 pcs of the BBQ on a stick, 20 — chicken and 20-pork for $ 60). I had to put the chicken back on the grill because it was undercooked. I am not taking a chance on salmonella at my party. Make sure you check your party tray orders prior to leaving. I live too far to go back and return it. It was disappointing that you expected something that should’ve already been cooked. If I had known, I should’ve just bought the ones they sell at Seafood City and cooked it myself.

Do not order the whole Lechon! After its cooked, they wrap it up with foil and tapped up so when you get home, the Lechon is not crispy at all! I was disappointed. They should have covered it with paper towel or something.

Food was not fresh. Lumpia was old… Took one bite and it was so chewy. I didn’t even care to finish eating the rest. Just gonna go to ChowKing next time.

Good selection of grilled Filipino food and other dishes. Their chicken tinola tasted bland though(didn’t taste like a real tinola). Portions are big enough for an average-sized patron. They also have Filipino street food — addidas, betamax, bituka, pork ears, etc, There are lots of table to eat on.

Called Grill City because I was told that they have great BBQ sticks and other food entrees for parties. I spoke with John the catering manager on the phone and he told me to come in a week prior to my event and he could go over their catering menu with me since I have never been there. I went in and John went over the menu with me which I was surprised that they had a lot of variety. The prices a la carte was pretty expensive but the catering prices were more reasonable.(maybe because you are buying in bulk) Anyhow I went ahead a placed my order and paid upfront. A little disappointed that I was not allowed to sample some of the cooked food and I had to buy to try which I did. I was told to show my receipt the day of the event at the agreed upon time and that everything would be ready to go. My sister and parents stopped by he day of to pick up the food. In shock and disappointment they had no order of my food. I was told that they did not want to help my family and brushed them off as crazy people because they didn’t have a receipt. I texted the receipt to my sister and she then showed it to them which showed the pickup time and date hand written on the top. It was then that John remembered taking my order. They had a mad scramble to get the order together. They were short on some items and I had to speak to one of the workers on the phone. Talk about stressful! They compensated with other available items to make up for not having enough of what I ordered. The food was good but this type of situation should never happen and the food was delayed to the party about an hour. So buyer beware check and double check days prior to your event that they have everything set and ready to go the day of.

You guys I’m fan. I live in an apartment and bbqing is quite a struggle and kind of a hassle. I would have to walk all the way to the pool area just to BBQ. So when I discovered that they make Filipino bbq’s here, I became obsessed! I love it! It reminds me so much of the BBQ that I ate back in the native land :) it’s kinda sorta pricey. But it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Plus honestly, I think the price is alright because for me, one stick of BBQ is already fulfilling. Also, I need to mention this, they are NOT shy about their rice portions! YAS! I’m Filipino and I NEED my rice! Haha!

I used to love coming to this place to dine in for a quick lunch. But recently, especially this afternoon. Im not too happy about it. They’ve drastically reduced the amount of BBQ Chicken/Pork/Beef sticks for a meal. Last year, they used to give me at least 3BBQ Chicken sticks with a good portion of rice, and they’re soup of the day… BUTNOW, I only received one BBQ Chicken stick for the meal. LAME! Doesn’t match for the price I paid for for over $ 8+tax, and I’m still hungry. Last year, I was completely satisfied with how my meal was served. But now, its meh! Sad part for today, they dont even have Kare Kare on the menu. UGH! My fave peanut butter food with bago-ung or however you spell that sauce. :’(

I have come here on occasion for the BBQ chicken on a stick when I just didnt feel like cooking dinner. Super good with steamed rice & veggies on the side. This past Friday, I went in & ordered 60pc to cater a party. Angelina helped take my order & was very professional and friendly! The BBQ chicken was a hit! I know now to place an order for more the next time I need catering!

The amount was more then enough for 6 ppl and there was only 3 of us lol. We had the bbq chicken on the stick lechon tilapia and sinigan broth yum!!! With 2 servings of rice that looked like 4 servings. If youre in the mood for some filipino grub this is the place to go.

I think the attraction at this place is more to do that people eat with their eyes and not necessarily the food is great. When you look at all the lined-up grilled food, you can’t help but salivate to try them. However, their grilled foods are under seasoned and when you have their soup which normally accompanies your food, it’s a either too bland or too sour. Depending what they serve for the day;Tinola or Shrimp Sinigang, I had them to be and they were just ok. Is this place worth the money? Yeah if you are hungry and can’t wait to cook your own after grocery shopping at seafood city. Otherwise, it’s just ok

Our family ordered Lumpia Shanghai for Christmas Eve Dinner and upon arriving home and opening the container, all of the Lumpia Shanghai was Wet and Soggy! People who are easily prone to illness and get easily sick from consuming food like this and obviously you have a Business such as Grill City who doesn’t care about the health and safety of their customers! This is a major health and food safety violation. If this happened to us I’m sure they will continue doing it to other customers!

Love the chicken bbq here! Definitely looking forward to trying everything else. Nice customer service, sometimes the wait to place an order is long.

I tried the pork bbq based on a recommendation. It came with a shrimp soup option. The pork was sweet and salty, the soup was sour and spicy. I mixed it all up and it was sweet, salty, spicy and sour concoction that I loved. But I was really put off by the super slow efficiency of the staff, the dirty tables, and all the flies. I may have to try it again since I really liked the food.

Located inside Seafood City, I have been here a few times with my boyfriend while we were on shopping trips. It’s always pretty busy, but the people are friendly and don’t make you feel rushed. This is one of those places where you order combo meals and pick out the different items as you go down the line, or you can order a tray of mixed BBQ items. The food is OK if you are hungry and want to eat something right away. The price is a little high for what you get. I feel like I should get an extra piece of something for it to meet the value. The halo halo is super thick with lots of bits — wow! Too much for me, actually, but my boyfriend has a sweet tooth so perfect for him. I think you can also get lechon baboy here, but not certain. I know I saw a guy walking away from the counter with one, but wasn’t sure if that was a special thing or they do it all the time.

Earlier today, we took home a pork stick, rice, sinigang, and grilled tilapia to eat for dinner. The place was stocked. We came at a good time, I guess, as the items were plentiful I saw the cook re-stock everything as they were running low on an item or two. Warning: The people behind the counter are not friendly whatsoever. It’s hurry up, place your order, you better know what you want, and move on to the cashier. As long as you do this, you’re good to go. If not, well, expect them to wipe the same spot over and over again with a towel until you say something. Haha. The food wasn’t bad… it was pretty good for fast food actually. The tilapia was yummy… grilled perfectly for $ 5.95. The pork stick was ok… I’ve had better but at least it wasn’t dry. The sinigang was also good… the lady wasn;t skimpy with the shrimp and the soup was tasty. Although not the best, the food will satisfy your craving… I’d come back as long as the food was plentiful behind the counter.

This is going to be one of my shortest reviews that I will publish(Is what I thought at first before typing this review out), but due to what I witnessed and remembered I had to make sure my review makes a stand at what to look out for when you come here. Generally due to the fact that my visit here was short as well, I wanted to mak sure that the smoke screen they were trying to sale wouldn’t be bought. Right when you walk into this establishment the food options catches your eyes(from afar). When you get ready to order, all the food looks delicious and you even get more hungry while your walking up. BUT when you come closer and see the food up close, you notice one important key factor, they are selling a smoke screen, and your vision is veered away by putting their great bbq options in front of their other options they offer here. After that I noticed that they didn’t offer any of my personal favorite dishes here, I knew this wasn’t going to be a place for me to eat. Honestly if they did offer my personal favorites, I definitely would of stayed and probably be writing a better review for this location, but due to the fact that I came and left, that is why this review is more straight to the point and has no sugar coat to it. maybe one day if I visit Seafood City again, I might stroll by and see if they changed their game plan lay out, and offer better selection. BUT until then, my review for Grill City will remain as is.
