Golden Phoenix Cafe

First and foremost the food is very good, good selection and great taste (I highly recommend the Sesame Pork). My only food related recommendation/​complaint is they need a little more explanation of what each item is on their take-​out menu. I have never eaten-​in at Golden Phoenix so I don’t know how well things are explained in store.
Prices are very good, and you get a 10% off coupon with every order. Call and mention you have the coupon and they take it off over the phone no questions asked. They also accept cards over the phone, and do check card+ID when they deliver.
Speaking of delivery I live about ¾ of a mile from them and the longest I’ve ever had to wait is 30 min for delivery.

I’ve been trying to find a Chinese restaurant in the South Sac area that doesn’t serve shark fin soup. Not only does this place not serve it, but we were thoroughly impressed. We placed the order on the phone to pick it up-​2 combination plates. I ordered the sweet & sour shrimp-​the shrimp were huge & they didn’t skimp. It came with chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, foil wrapped chicken, a fried prawn, a crab wonton & an egg roll. The chicken was amazing-​very good cut of chicken. Not like some other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to where the chicken is grisly, greasy & disgusting. The fried rice seemed like it’d been sitting a bit, but the rest of the food was delicious! They gave us 10% off our order, so it came out to about $ 20. And for all the food we got, it was worth it. Not many tables inside or décor-​probably best for take-​out. Staff was friendly too, we’ll be back!
