I walked by here so many times and finally made it on a Second Saturday. I’m amazed by all the creative arts. I love both the interior and exterior décor. Unlike many surrounding art galleries, this place offers rooms rented by numerous artist. It’s like going to a bunch of galleries but you’re in one big gallery. Cool huh? Some artists leave their work in progress and their work station for you to view. I think that’s pretty neat.

Unexpectedly stopped in on Second Saturday while out and about and was pleasantly surprised. A lot of small individual exhibits in one building! Great place to come and see a variety of art. Many of the artists were present to display and answer questions about their art as well as sell it. The location is great and conveniently located by other galleries, restaurants, and bars.

my friends and i would never step into that place again. the bitterness, prejudice and condescending coming from the owner /manager of this gallery toward me were pure poison and negativity. it is sad to see my community being infected with that type of behavior from its business owners.

Wow! I simply can’t say enough about Gallery 2110. The owner Clare Bailey and the artists who show their work and have studios in the gallery space are absolutely fantastic. I had a private party at the gallery and the assistance and participation of all the artists and Clare was superb. Extremely professional and truly a joy to work with. Not to mention that the gallery space and the art studios are great fun to tour. If you love art, this is a great place to visit with an eclectic mix of artwork.

Sacramento has a good local art scene and Gallery 2110 is a great place to support it and view the work of numerous artists. I dropped in last night for a exhibit/fashion show/photo shoot by Alister Oliver and had the chance to meet him along with several other artists and the gallery owner, Clare Bailey. The building is set up with a large front room and upstairs loft for rotating exhibits. It also has smaller spaces where individual artists can exhibit their work and there is a sculpture garden next to the building. There are all sorts of different types of art on exhibit including paintings, photography, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, toys and even jewelry made from Legos. Clare has been running this gallery for a year now and you can tell that she takes pride in her work and in providing a place for local artists. If you’re looking for something to do, take a moment to check out Gallery 2110. I’ll definitely be returning.

Like the previous reviewer, this place gets five stars. For starters, I love supporting the arts — especially local arts. In the front on the ground floor, you’ll find a rotating gallery. Same with loft space on the 2nd floor. I think this used to be an office complex; instead of individual offices, you’ll find individual studios. The studio spaces are filled with artists who either do their work here or rent out a spot to showcase their art. You can find sculptures, painting, toys, etc. in all different mediums. I really liked one piece done in pastels of koi. If I had some extra cash, that is the piece I would have bought on the spot! Also liked the mixed media piece of the famous Madonna crotch-grabbing photo.(I think it was from her ‘True Blue’ album?) Created with tons of tiny pegs on a board, when you shine a light on it, the shadows create the image. They are open for Art Second Saturday, but if you’re serious about browsing, then come for the Thursday before the second Saturday of the month. Parking is easier, and they actually serve nibblies and wine.

The art scene in Sacramento is good. No, it’s great. And getting better all the time! Since July 2110, under the creative guidance of Clare Bailey and many talented Sacramento artists, Gallery 2110& Sacramento Art Complex was reborn at 2110 K Street. Previously the complex would draw crowds on Second Saturday. For me, the storefront always seemed cluttered and uninviting. Not so now! Gallery 2110 is open and bright and draws you in. Representing a variety of mediums, rotating exhibits are world-class and have included such intriguing or comical subjects as: Multiplicity and Self-Identity: Trauma and Integration in Shirley Mason’s Art, Waltzing the Dog, and Cars & Cigars. Second Thursday openings, 6−8pm, with the artist(s) are a must if you want to avoid the sometime crush of Second Saturday. The adjacent parking lot has been converted to the wildest sculpture garden featuring the whimsy of Steve Cook. Junk metal and scrap wind-up as kinetic and otherwise insane works of art. Other featured metal sculptors are Kristen Hoard and Angela Ridgeway. Beyond the entry of Gallery 2110, Sacramento Art Complex has continued to evolve. Artists’ studios include everything from painting and photography to sculpture, jewelry, exquisite beaded skulls and toys from your wildest dreams. A comfy but sophisticated back patio invites guests to sit and contemplate the experience. Surrounded by works of art and views of the alley, it’s a bohemian lifestyle calling you. Of course, Gallery 2110 and Sacramento Art Complex welcome hundreds of visitors every Second Saturday. There’s usually some live music but you can always expect something new.
