UPDATING my review for my second visit since things have changed… ok so I guess they never had FREEREFILLS. I asked the cashier/waiter guy if they were not offering free refills anymore and he said they never did but because the jugs were out by the chips he says people thought it meant free refills, even though I had asked about refills on my first visit the girl that served us on our first visit said they were free. but ok. I don’t mind paying for a refill on aguas frescas but $ 1??? I’ve been to other mexican restaurants and the most I’ve paid is .25(los jarritos). And for the amount of refill you get it’s overpriced because the cup is full of ice… THESALSAS on this visit were over spicy. The guacamole salsa should not be fire hot! I could not enjoy the salsas I was dam choking from the spice i had to go outside and cough it out and went to my car to find a water bottle to wash it down. THETACOS were tasting pretty good, I got asada and chicken. The only thing is they bearly fill the tortillas with meat. The double tortilla was too much tortilla for the amount of meat. I had to remove the bottom tortilla so i can actually taste the meat and even so it was not enough meat. THESERVICE was still good. Friendly and welcoming. The wait for my food was not long either. I don’t knw if they still hand out menus and take your order at the table. I just placed my order at the register and took a seat. THETABLES are pretty wobbly or atleast the one I sat one by the salsa bar. My son would reach over for chips and table would wobble almost spilling the drinks. I had to keep telling him to be careful several times which was kinda annoying, my child shouldn’t have to be worring about a wobbly table. but overall i think the food taste good.

It’s nice to have another taqueria within walking distance that isn’t Paisano or the truck. And since this location was El Michoacan for at least twenty-years(but it wasn’t open for business), it was shocking to hear that someone had moved in. I came in on a Monday morning, around 11:30AM. There was no-one in the place. There are definitely some kinks that should be worked out. $ 1 tacos | Are the two bite street tacos and they put like a teaspoon of meat! Too small for me to even tell you how they tasted. $ 3 flautas | 3 come to an order. It took twenty minutes to receive them. It was mostly tortilla… again. Hella stingy with the meat. But, I do like the ice cold iceberg on top with parmesan cheese. Free chips and salsa.

Few Mexican restaurants, I’ve been to, in Sacramento can create a nice and comfortable atmosphere like El Mirador. The music playing in the background, the décor, the candy, and the food all mixes so nicley together. Although I wouldn’t go as far as saying El mirador reminds me of Mexico, it certainty fits its name. The reason I’m rating it four stars is not because of the quality, but the quantity. I ordered two asada tacos and two tacos de tripa. They were very flavorful and the green salsa kicked it up a notch, not that it was needed. The quantity of meat on the tacos was a disappointment; the tacos had little meat. After constantly passing by it I’m glad I finally gave it a try. I will be back!

I LOVED the food! Stopped in on my way home & my preggo cravings have been enchiladas verde w/rice & beans…& that’s exactly what I got! Carne asada enchiladas were bomb! The enchilada sauce was bomb! The beans were bomb! Omg! The cheese & Mexican(sour) cream took the enchiladas to the next level! Keep it up Mama ‘Cely!

This is the first time to this restaurant for me and my family. the food was authentic and the tortillas were fresh made. The Caldo de Res and Birria was the best I’ve tasted.
