I remember seeing a segment on good day Sacramento a while back and I told myself I wanted to meet him as well as taste some of his amazing looking goodies. It just so happened that I got on Unilocal early this week after deciding that I wanted a customized cake for my 40tj bday (which was yesterday) and I did a search. Chef Jeff popped up, I view his work/​reviews and I began dialogue. It wasn’t until halfway into closing the deal that i recognized this may be the guy from tv. I asked him and he confirmed. I was so excited because no way was this planned. In closing I am beyond satisfied with the care and time he put into my beautiful cupcakes and they taste like heaven. Thanks again Chef Jeff !

Jeff did an awesome job on my daughters sweet 16 birthday cake. I showed him a picture told him what I wanted & he delivered. Not only was it beautiful but it was delicious inside & out! He puts his mind to it & most of all… Everyone loved it! Thanks Jeff… Your the bomb!

I finally found my go to custom cake guy! Jeff created not just a beautiful cakes but delicious and moist as well. He was very accommodating. I ordered a Dallas Cowboys themed cake for my husband’s birthday and he NAILED IT! The cakes were delicious and the price was incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend him!

I read the reviews on Unilocal,and they were spot on! Jeff couldn’t be more professional and pleasant to work with for our company holiday party. I conducted the order and specifics via email, and a beautiful and truly delicious turkey Thanksgiving cake (photo attached) was delivered before the start time of our party.
Jeff did a stellar job, the cake was a huge hit, and we will be using Cakes by Jeff the Chef again next year. Thank you, Jeff for making over 40 people instantly happier!

I stopped Unilocaling last year because it became an addiction. (Yes…many of you understand.) Had to Unilocal Jeff again because he is the BEST. Look at this cake!

Jeff’s 3D cakes are AMAZING! I ordered a custom car cake for my boyfriend for his birthday. He has a red Nissan 240sx and I texted Jeff a month before his birthday. I was very clear on how I wanted the cake and he did it perfectly. My boyfriend and everyone at his party loved his cake. Jeff was very sweet and nice to give me feedback on things and even delivered the cake to me for free. Will be going to Jeff again for cakes!

Jeff was fantastic to work with! Sent him a few ideas and he executed my nieces bday cake to perfection! Cake was moist and delicious! Delivery was included in price and on time. Cannot say enough good things about Cakes by Jeff the Chef. Will definitely be recommending him to friends and family.

I highly recommend Jeff for custom cakes. I had a great experience with him from beginning to end. I called Jeff to help me make a custom birthday cake for my boyfriend and within about a week I had a beautiful cake delivered right to my doorstep on time.
Jeff was extremely prompt with everything, and made it very easy to order the cake. I really appreciated how he spent time with me to help me think of what kind of cake to order. He asked me what my boyfriend liked, and after going back and forth he thought of making a cake shaped like a Lamborghini aventador. The cake was a huge hit. Thanks Jeff.

I bought three pies from a deal off Groupon and each one was great! Jeff has good communication before and after orders asking how the pies were. Thank you Jeff!

The cake looked nice for my baby shower, but It was dry and it was still hard to cut even after 20 min of being out of the fridge. I had told him that I didn’t want the cake to be dry and it was still dry…

I ordered a custom cake for my baby shower on Feb. 28^th. First, he wanted me to pay in full the night before, which I was uncomfortable about because I haven’t seen my cake. We agreed he would do a 10 am drop off on my baby shower date to my house. However, he was 45 mins late.
The cake itself was not what I had imagined. The cake was lopsided and had black and brown spots in the fondant, yuck! When I text him to ask why there was spots in the cake, he replied with he wasnt sure because he airbrushes and that he would give me 12 cupcakes with my next order. In gist, no one from my party wanted to eat the cake from the stains on the cake.
His cupcakes and cakes maybe delicious, but his custom cakes are a disappointment.

Jeff did a great job on my nephew’s birthday cake. I called a week in advance to have a Raiders Jersey cake made. He was very accommodating and answered all my questions. He also delivers and was prompt with the delivery time given.
The cake was huge! Enough for 35 – 40 people (maybe more). If you’re wondering on the price, the cake was $ 125. Definitely worth it for the size and detail. I’m not sure what other flavors he offers but from other reviews, we decided on white cake with coconut butter cream. It was delicious! Everyone enjoyed it. Even those who aren’t Raider fans lol.

Great communication and service is impeccable!!! Jeff was always in contact with me until my cupcakes arrived, which was really nice and exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t believe the service!!! I received exactly what I ordered, fresh and delicious, vanilla cupcakes with banana buttercream frosting. Amazing

We have a friend who had surgery, and she is the baker in our group of friends.
We figured we would treat her to some treats and I called Jeff and spoke with him abut placing an order and having it delivered.
He was very professional, very accommodating and very helpful!
He kept me up to date, via text, at my request, and delivered the order of a dozen chocolate cupcakes, exactly when he stated he would!
My friend was surprised but not only that, but very impressed!
I arrived for a visit and I must say, these cupcakes were beautiful! (Photo does NOT do them justice!)
My friend «made me» take one, and oh my goodness!!! The frosting was so light and airy, the cake part was so moist! Totally outstanding!
Very impressed, very satisfied and now a customer for life!

I had such high hopes with the previous reviews and photos. Our cake was beyond disappointing and was not worth $ 140. The fondant on the cake began to slide off just an hour after we picked it up. It didn’t sit in the car long and it was not hot. It looked like the bottom tier was about to explode. I am very disappointed in the cake. The letters and number were very messy and the second half of the whole top tier was supposed to be checkered. With the Unilocal photos and reviews, I had high expectations and have been let down. In the future, please let your clients know if you are not confident you can complete the design they request. There was also supposed to be a bunch of stars, just like the photo I sent. This cake was supposed to be the centerpiece of the big celebration. I was embarrassed to even bring it out. My sister-​in-​law and I are also cake makers, just did not have the time. This work is those of first time cake makers. The strawberry filling was disgusting, they were not fresh, and very obvious that it was from a frozen bag. This review deserves no star. Shame on you for thinking this cake would pass as a professional’s work. It looked like the cake was done in a rush. The photos speak for themselves. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

This is long overdue. Jeff is the man he was able to create a masterpiece in such short notice. My wife and I wanted a cake with fondant with a Sophia the first theme. We left it all to him and he did not disappoint. The cake was the talk of the party. It was very delicious.
Jeff is very professional and without a doubt a master of his craft. Definitely going to go with him again.

My son and I were so happy with the Ninja Turtle cake that Jeff made for his birthday. Not only did it look amazing it taste amazing as well. I found Jeff via Unilocal so after reading reviews I decided to give him a call about an engagement cake I wanted made.
