I accidentally came into this place while walking with a friend and I am so glad we did. So many fun and whimsical things to look at, with beautiful toy art from local artists as well as toys from all over the world I’ve never seen before. It’s a toy store for adults! I found these adorable Sonny Angel figures from Japan and talked with the store owner about the joys of blind boxes… I ended up purchasing a Sonny Angel box and was able to open it with the owner and it was just so much fun :) A happy place, indeed! I recommend it highly.

What a fun find!!! We had such fun exploring this store. It’s small but so much to see. Toys made by artist, but also art made out of toys. It’s brilliant! The whole concept blows my mind. I could spend all afternoon checking out each section. My son found the most realistic looking stuffed animal toy I’ve ever seen! He’s now his favorite companion. Love this place! I can’t wait to come back for the Fairy Show and Kaleidoscope Show!!! One of kind pieces that make children and adults alike feel the wonder and magic that toys have on our hearts and minds!

This place is aweeeeesome! Cute little shop that is more fun than walking through your typical art museum. Have to remember to come back here the next time I want a unique gift for a loved one.

What IS this place?! An art gallery? A toy store? A place I can gleefully spend 20 – 30 minutes wandering around and enjoying, well, pretty much everything? It’s all of the above folks. From retro toys to robots, to art, to robot-related sculptures, it’s like a nerd’s dream. The owner really knows her stuff, too. We ended up chatting quite a bit about some of the items we were looking at, and one of the artists we enjoyed. Very much worth the trip. I’d be willing to bet that once you set foot in the door, you might not be leaving as quickly as you think, or with as much in your wallet as you had.

As a public service and for the safety of others, I will NOT go out on Black Friday… except to go make tamales with some people I care to be around. Also, I’m a closet hipster who wants to sway people over to the other side — small, local business! I accidently stumbled upon this place as I was making a beeline for some lunch. I also accidently took a 2-hour lunch, because this place is so cool! I bought a few things(in October), and told myself they would become stocking stuffers. No cheating! No giving these gifts early because I’m impatient, and just totally giddy over these cute little items. And, that I totally want to play with them! Yes, they’re still hidden away and I’m still contemplating which toys will go into my stocking. But, I’ve got an itch to visit this place again for some gift-giving. The Art of Toys is just that. They have toy-themed art from local artists(the artwork and toy-theme changes monthly, I believe), they have toys — very nice toys made of wood, tinker toys, toys you don’t want to let your kids play with, mechanical toys, wind-up toys, toys that you MIGHT let your kids play with, little robotic toys that will end up on your desk at work(my fave)! And there’s a selection of toy-themed jewelry. This place is jammed-packed with so much to oolge over. This place makes me happy! As a reminder, I will give myself two mental pictures as I shop for the holidays. One is of me in a strait jacket, in a padded room after attempting to shop at a mall or evil empiric abyss. The other is me strolling through the tulips of midtown shopping in peace, love, and rainbows.

A really neat place to visit with or with out kids, but not a typical TOY store. It is a small store and not a place where kids can play, touch, and explore. It is a toy store for looking, sounds funny I know. My two year old enjoyed looking at the cool«Toy Art”(but I had to make sure he did not touch anything because a lot of the toys are delicate model like toys, but there are neat little toys to walk away with at reasonable prices. The lady that was(she may have been the owner) on a Saturday afternoon on our visit was really nice and helpful. The«toy art» is constantly changing she said, we’ll be back to visit!

This is definitely one of those unique stores that you don’t find anywhere. All the items here are old school toys that we have once all seen, but with an artistic twist by each artist that designed the toy. I loved the Star Wars toy art here which was made from bike chains and various metals. Definitely cool! A fun little store to check out if you’re in the area.
