ABC Grill Catering

People often have a misconception that we have to choose between «quality» or «quantity», but ABC GRILL has proven this statement wrong, because they DELIVER both!
I attended a wedding a few weeks ago with 500 guests, and they used ABC Grill as their caterer. I’ve been to some ‘buffet style’ weddings before, and it could get a little chaotic so I was a bit skeptic. However, ABC Grill did a fantastic job on setting up and getting the food out to the guest in a timely, but more importantly, orderly manner.
I am really amazed by the catering and staff. Well, obviously because it has prompt me to stop what I am doing and write this review. Good job ABC GRILL! I’ll make sure to keep you in mind for my next party!

Wonderful from the moment we first contacted them. My husband and I used ABC Grill catering for our wedding and we were extremely satisfied. They helped us pick a menu that worked perfectly with our wedding theme. The food was cooked onsite and tasted AMAZING!!! Numerous guest commented on how great the food was. ABC Grill made the entire catering process so easy for us. We highly recommend and we will be using them again.

ABC catered the Kobasics Xmas event on 12÷21÷14. The food was horrible. Perhaps if you want an iceburg salad, mac and cheese, chicken swimming in mushroom soup or ice tea without ice, you may feel differently. These people need to find a new line of work. YUK!

We recently had ABC Grill provide catering for our daughters wedding and it was tremendous. The staff, Ed and Dan were incredibly helpful from the very beginning stages all the way through to the end. I will personally recommend them for any catering is the Sacramento area.

My family has used this catering company on several occasions. The food is very good, the service is prompt and courteous. The prices are very reasonable for the amount and quality of the food. I am planning to use them again.

I scheduled an appointment in January to meet with this catering company at the end of February (today, actually) for a July wedding. The man on the phone was very nice and accommodating, even offering to bring food to my home for my bridesmaids and family to try– free of charge. It was scheduled for 11 am today. Around 11:30 and no one having arrived, I called the company to find out if there was some sort of delay. The same man I had originally made plans with said, «Oh, oops. You must have slipped through the cracks.» That was it. No «sorry.» No «Oh my gosh, we’ll be right over!» No «we have a great excuse for this.» Nothing. I would not recommend this company because if they can not make their first appearance, what will they do for the one that counts?

DANGER! Do not consider them. I had called last May 2012 to book them for my wedding. The man seemed happy to accommodate my menu style and his prices seemed very reasonable. He scheduled a date to come to my home with samples and as a bride to be I was ecstatic to know that he was willing to work with me on short notice. Come the day he was suppose to come over, he never showed. I left multiple messages and no answer. Finally I got a voice-​mail from him detailing how he was going to be unable to send over samples or even cater my wedding. It would have been nice to know when I had called. Not a month and a half away from my wedding date.
Buyers beware!

I thought they were good. They did a hospital luncheon yesterday. But like the last poster, we had a salad that was simply lettuce. The dressing was good. The food was really good, kalehula pork which I didn’t have and parmesean chicken which I did. Along with mashed potatoes and gravy and another fruit salad and veggie salad. All was good. They even had garlic bread which was good.
However, when I called this morning to tell them I thought they put on a great luncheon, I got a snarky person on the phone. «Whaddayawant?» I mean, if I were first looking for a caterer and called them, I’d hang up and call someone else. Someone who sounded professional and like they actually wanted business.

I seriously considered booking this company. The first time I called, he didn’t seem rude. He answered my basic questions. He was nice. Even asked how I found him, and when I told him the key words I put in on Google, he sounded very happy!
But when I had more questions weeks later because I was seriously considering booking them for my FRIKKIN WEDDING, I called, an older woman answered the phone, took my name and number down, and I never got a call back. So I called again today… The same woman answered the phone, she walked over (I’m guessing) to the owner (or whoever he was), a little LOUD whispering went on, and BOOOY was he short, mean, and rude. I don’t book weddings everyday, this is my first and only time I’ll ever get married, and I’m not a wedding coordinator or anything, so I had some questions. There was a point where something wasn’t clear to me so when I asked to clarify I got a sigh and a «C’mon!»… So I stopped and said «You sound like you’re in a hurry, should I call back when you’re not so busy? Because I have a few more questions I wanted to ask, but you sound like you don’t have time»… I got «shoot me an email, with all your questions and I’ll get back to you when I can»…
«WHEN I CAN»? I have 8 months to get this wedding together, I don’t have time to be BS’ing with someone who opened up a catering business of his own, but still hates his job (based on how he treats potential customers)
With that being said, he doesn’t have to worry about me «bothering» him about booking for my wedding. I wouldn’t even recommend him for a Douchebag Convention.

ABC Grill Catering was hired to cater our annual Sock Hop on June 9, 2012. The menu for our 110 guests was hamburgers and hotdogs. We hired ABC because of a recommendation from a couple we know. We had never used them before and would never consider using them again.
In the first place, how can someone be a professional caterer and show up with a menu of hamburgers and hot dogs and NOT bring any ketchup or mustard? One of our committee members had to make a run to a local supermarket to buy those.
In all honesty, some of the guests who were served first said their meal was OK. However, those on the organizing committee went through the serving line last and what we were presented was horrible. The hamburgers were one charred mass of carbon. Absolutely inedible. When my wife asked for a cheeseburger, one of the two men there got a piece of cheese, threw it on one of the charred burgers with an attitude and said «here is your cheeseburger.»
There were no tomatoes or onions and the green salad consisted of nothing other than lettuce and a very watery dressing.
When we spoke with the owner (Ed) about the meal his response was, «Tell it to someone who gives a sh_​t!!» We know of three people who tried to speak to him about the meal and got similar responses.
To me, the attitude displayed by the owner of ABC was deplorable. How can someone be in business and treat his customers like that? The food he served was almost as bad as his attitude.
