Not a bad spot in the midtown area. The bar is a part of the Marriott hotel so it’s connected to the lobby. The drinks are just drinks. I didn’t try any food but it didn’t look bad when people ordered it. There is plenty of seating and it’s great for groups. They have two large screens to show the Kings games(and other sports). My boyfriend enjoyed it. I wouldn’t mind coming back, but I don’t think I’d make a special trip for this place.

I stayed at the Residence Inn for roughly 2 months and I have to say that food, atmosphere and staff were all wonderful to me. Food: I would say the Brisket Sandwich is one of my Favorite staples I’ve tried Cafeteria L across the Street, I’d much rather eat here. Atmosphere: A lot of Business professionals during the work week as well as guests so it’s a Hodgepodge of different people from every walks of life(you may meet a Sports player or Actor as I have from time to time) all around a great place. Staff: Well since I’m writing this review I’m going to call out every person that took care of me during my stay. Charlie: Wonderful, sweet and attentive bartender she makes one hell of a Rusty Nail. Ryan: Funny Guy always willing to accommodate you during crowds. Jordan: Cool and always professional and ensures your Refill is good. Alice: Funny as hell and can talk sports with you, she knows how to make awesome Rum Drinks… ask her about a Mojito she’ll take care of it for you. Amrita: She is such a sweet heart the kitchen messed up my order and she got it corrected within minutes lovely woman to talk to. Tiffany: What can I say she never forgets my Barbeque Sauce and Tea Refills awesome all around. I would like to see the Kitchen add more selections to the menu but besides that great place!

I was there yesterday for lunch and although it was a tad understaffed due to the two whole cheerleading teams and all their parents that came in unannounced, Amrita and Alice handled themselves and all their customers marvelously. The food took a little long but I imagine this was because there were tables overflowing into the lobby of the hotel and the kitchen didn’t have the capacity to handle it. All in all great service and good times watching the game. I always have an awesome time when I stop in and will definitely be back. Thank you Alice and Amrita

Im reading a lot of these reviews and I can personally attest to changes made recently. Food: A+ The food and the NEW Chef Sean Andre are awesome here! Be sure to try the Jerk Chicken Wings, the Gouda Bacon Chicken Mac and Cheese, and the Salmon Chopped Salad. Those are my absolute faves!!! They also have very excellent desserts. And the prices are very reasonable. Drinks: A I managed to get a stiff«pale pink» Cosmo, just how I like it! Ambiance: B+ It’s clean and sleek, but it looks like any bar inside any hotel… it is really the food that drives this place. Service: B Servers could be more attentive. I’m used to excellent service in cities like San Francisco, so Sacramento can step its game up in this area. Overall rating: So nice, eat their twice! And bring your friends.

I stay at the Residence Inn often, and there are great dining options nearby. This is actually one of my favorite hotel restaurants I’ve tried. The new menu is great! I’ve tried a few different things in the menu, and each has been great. The young lady working recommended the Jamaican wings, and I loved them! I took off 1 star because service can be slow sometimes, but the staff are friendly and food is great.

Not worth it. Been here several times & it’s always a let down. The turkey wrap fell apart before I got halfway thru eating it & the tomatoes were so big they took up more room than the turkey. Just had the Tri Tip sandwich– it was so fatty & disgusting I couldn’t eat it– complete waste of money. The only things worth eating here are the flatbreads & fries. Don’t waste your time or money

We’ve been there a couple of times and love the AC and availability of tables. It doesn’t matter how many surrounding places are over filled with people this place always has room. Even to watch the Superbowl. Today we had lunch. The place was nearly empty. There was one table of 3 on the other side besides us. They had music playing over heard and the overhead projector showing a football game and the 2 tvs on each side of the bar showing the news/hometown heroes parade. I really wish we could have turned up the volume as that is what we were intently watching. We ordered the burger and the 3 sliders. The fries were amazing. I am a very picky fry person so I was happy to get a pile of crispy fries. Unusually I get 2 crispy fries and the rest soggy. The serving size of fries was good too. The burger was ok. The bun was way too big and dry. I couldn’t taste the garlic aioli sauce. The cheese brought no extra flavor. The tomato wasn’t juicy, and the lettuce piece was too thin and not crispy. And the food took forever to arrive. The nice thing was a friend came in and was getting an order to go and she stopped by and we got to chat. The sliders were very dry and not flavorful. Just looking at them made me think of a dried out sponge. I was so excited to get a burger. We should have gone nx door either direction. For a place that empty there is no excuse to why the food took so long to prepare. Customer service was ok. The staff kept disappearing. They may have been taking care of people in the lobby as we didn’t hear anyone else in the place. I don’t understand why they had the windows and doors open. The AC was on and we loved it. The cooler the better. I wouldn’t comment on this if there wasn’t a fly issue. They just kept buzzing around. One landed on my mouth. So gross. I was trying to talk to the waitress when this happened and totally froze, she asked if everything is ok, and I told her a fly landed on my mouth. I don’t fault the staff for the flies, but I’d like management reconsider leaving the windows open with out screens and the doors open.

I tried this cute little lounge because they had a 50% off Groupon that proved to be a great deal. Our waitress was super sweet and actually helped us fix our outfits for an event we were attending after dinner. We ordered the BBQ Pulled Pork sliders and French fries, plus drinks. Both were very good. The atmosphere here seems very trendy, but it’s also kind of laid back and friendly. I gave this place 4 stars because it was a cute first stop for the night, but it is kind of small, so I do not suggest big groups.

If trying to attend happy hour, be sure to drop in before six! I thought the happy hour ended at seven, needless to say we were too late. We decided to just eat and watch the NBA playoffs at the bar. Food was pretty good, service was fair. The bartender/waiter was a little slow with request, and the place wasn’t busy. My friend ordered the Caesar salad and turkey club. I had the chicken bacon and Gouda Mac-n-cheese, and I ate all of it. It’s on the small plates list, so the portion was decent. Also, there was a guy on the patio with a young daughter running around and jumping on the seat cushions. I wasn’t annoyed, most likely because I was sitting on the inside. It was a little funny because the girl was really enjoying herself. Not sure if the guy knew someone that worked here, why else would it be ok for his child to run around? I saw good deals on drinks on their happy hour menu. Hopefully, I’ll make happy hour in the future and discover a new item on the menu to like!

Bought a groupon for this place. Seemed like an ok place for dinner. Didn’t realize this was such a «bar» type place. Also, didn’t realize I had been here once before, but more on that later. This place was packed. We ended up sitting at the bar. Bartender was very nice which was a plus. I ordered the steak and hubs had the steak dip sandwich. For one, I ordered my steak medium. It seems the chef doesn’t know how to do that. My steak came out well done, but at least it was quality meat so it was still tender and not rubbery. Seems they don’t know how to season things either. Half of my potatoes were salty and the other was bland. Also chef forgot to give us dip for the sandwich dip. Bartender apologized and we got our dip asap. I commend him for being able to juggle food, bartending, and being cashier at the same time without missing a beat. Not coming coming back for food though. For a bar/lounge this place is great. You have to their their sweet potato fries. Those were really yummy! Side story: So I mentioned I had come here before. That was when I was out clubbing with some friends across the street. I had come over here just to use the bathroom since the other place was packed. The bouncer at the door was a major creep. He kept touching my hand when he stamped me and made a comment at how soft my hands were. After I was done using the bathroom I tried to slip by him as I left, but he saw me. He told me he wanted me to stay and chat with him. I politely declined and ran back across the street.

Good bar to stop by for a quick drink before hitting up a club. Took my wife and enjoyed a couple Anchor Steam beers. Kinda started out slow for the night then got a little busier, so looks like a good hangout spot. May try there happy hour deal next time we come. 3 out of 5 for 3 Fires Lounge.

Love this place! The service from the servers and bartenders are always top notch. They make amazing whiskey/bourbon drinks(the way to my heart is always through bourbon) and when they have time they’ll chat you up. Granted, it’s always busy here on Friday and Saturday nights I have never not been served within a few minutes. If you go here enough, the staff starts to recognize you and they’ll remember your drinks!(Not sure this is a good thing because that says a lot about myself…) The other week I finally got a chance to try one of their small plates, the mac and cheese, and it was delicious. Mac and cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods and this did not disappoint. Plus, it had GOATCHEESE in it… Holy richness. I think I died and went to heaven after that night. As I write this review I just had a sudden craving for said mac and cheese. Guess I know where I’ll be going this weekend for food and drinks!

Maybe the food is good. Maybe the drinks are good. Maybe the service is good. But we didn’t stick around long enough to find out, because the bright wall sconces lit the place across the street that wasn’t lit by klieg lights, and had a much better time.

Used to live downtown and walked by this location for years and never stopped in to give it a try. I bought a Groupon deal and decided to treat my brother and boyfriend to dinner here on Friday night. We arrived and were able to choose our seats right away, the staff was very open and friendly. I ordered a glass of $ 8 Pinot Noir which arrived promptly at my table. The menu had many great selections so it took some time to choose my entrée. I ordered a simple cheese pizza. My brother ordered the pulled pork sliders and my boyfriend ordered the pulled pork quesadillas and a cup of coffee. Everything arrived hot and fresh within 15 – 20 minutes of ordering. The ambience was upbeat and modern but the crowd was very diverse, ranging in all age groups. I was quite impressed by the quality of the food and would definitely return here to try out happy hour or another entrée sometime in the near future. I enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be stopping in sometime soon. :)

Cool bar, but not worth the wait. The bartender was great when I could get his attention, but he was the only bartender that particular night, and he was working his butt off that night… I’d personally would give him 4 stars, but the two stars are for the lounge only. It took us almost an hour to get our food… that is way too long, even when enjoying my drink and watching football. I was so frustrated with the wait, but more so when my medium rib eye steak was well-done! I don’t do well, so I returned it, and at that time, I just asked for it to go. Since my husband and I drove separately, I asked him if he’d stay behind and wait for it. I was so done, I didn’t even want to continue waiting… but they continued to tick me off even at home… when my husband came home with my food, I saw that they didn’t add add my vegetables. Wish it was a better experience.

So I came here for the first time in probably a year or two. Looks like they updated the lounge. The patrons in the bar are older now. They do not have a dj any longer on saturdays. It’s more upscale and they appear to be targeting older clientel. I like the look of the place now and is actually more of a lounge than a lounge with a dj on saturdays now. So this review is only for after hours since only drinks were being served. I like the look of the place and atmosphere now.

We wanted to try this lounge on the corner of 15th and L… considering there are a few other amazing places nearby(Cafeteria 15L, MaJongs, etc.). From the outside, it looks like a cool hangout with a modern vibe. When you walk in, the décor is great– modern and spacious, with a bar that goes around to both sides of the space. Ample seating and a great little patio. Looks are deceiving. Note: It pains me to write a 1 – 2 star review. We tried this place 3 times now,(it IS named 3 fires!) giving it ample opportunity to prove itself, work out kinks, and perhaps catch a different crew at a different time. Three times is enough. Three strikes you are out. On all 3 occasions, the service was marginal, the drinks were terrible, and the food, my goodness, the food needs a serious upgrade. First time, we went for the ambiance. Drinks took over 15 minutes. Wine options are limited, but the SO had a blue moon so he was fine. The bartender turned her attention to the other side of the bar and we never saw her again until I walked over and asked to be cashed out. Not a great first impression. They were not busy. Second try, we went for HH. I ordered a lemon drop. It was 80% sweet and sour and simple sugar. Light on the alcohol. It was so sweet I got a sugar headache and did not finish it. The SO’s drink, was mostly ice with what seemed like ½ shot of booze and then soda water. Hmm. It took almost 20 minutes to get our drinks, and the lounge had 2 other tables and 3 patrons at the bar. The female bartender was VERY busy talking to the gentlemen at the bar and discussing the game on the TV. Our server, also joined the conversation at the bar to the point that I thought she forgot about us. Food took almost 30 minutes. We ordered some appetizers, and were sorely disappointed. Something is wrong with the kitchen… they either do not care, or are following recipes that do not care. LOL –Grilled Chicken Skewers– Over cooked, dry and on a bed of plain slaw SWIMMING in a sea of some sort of soy sauce/water. It was like a moat on an ocean of brown water. Salty. The only seasoning. –Buffalo Wings– Small, dry, lacking sauce. We did not finish them –Mixed Green Salad– It was supposed to come with cranberries and walnuts, and I suppose there were 2 or 3 of them, under dressed, tasted of, well, lettuce. Given our server was busy chatting, I never got the extra dressing I requested. –Hummus– Swimming in oil. After we scraped the oil off, this was the best of the bunch. It tasted homemade. Would I order the hummus again? Perhaps… but I would order it with veggies, the pita bread was stale. We tried again for dinner. Why? Are we masochists? Again, lackluster service, terrible drinks, 50 mins for food! The place was 85% EMPTY. The bartender disappeared. The server was playing bartender in her absence. Our meal was served by the«Manager» who was a very nice man. –Roasted Half Chicken– This was NO half of a chicken. This was 2 small pieces, a breast and a leg. Minimal seasoning, nothing special just chicken put in the oven. The veggies were not fresh and overcooked to the point of being lifeless mush. Small portion for the price. –Chopped Salad– Grilled chicken was stringy and tough, veggies were almost too old to serve, the bacon was just fat pieces, I had to pick them off. How can you mess up a simple salad for $ 13? Well… We had a nice conversation with the Manager, who seemed overwhelmed by the lack of help and lackluster service. He was very helpful in boxing up our leftovers(which we never finished) and getting our check. I felt a little bad for him– obviously his crew was not the best bunch a manager could have. The décor is cool, the little outside patio is nice, but service and food is sub par. It is hard to believe this lounge will last very long. Perhaps if they got a new crew, new menu, and served better drinks, this place will survive.

One of those places I should probably give it at least one more shot. I came here with a gal friend on Friday night. There was a friendly bouncer at the entrance, velvet ropes, a black carpet leading into the bar– I thought«wow, must be fun inside.» Instead, it wasn’t that great. Barely anyone was inside. I mean, there were some people, but not enough to warrant that introduction. I didn’t mind a quieter scene inside, but my main complaint was the customer service at the bar. The female bartender was so unfriendly! Even my friend didn’t want to tip her. Of course we still did, but she didn’t provide me the service I would have wanted. She really gave me an impression she did not want to be there. Someone who doesn’t love what they do, shouldn’t work with the public. I will try there happy hour in the future though and perhaps have better service from someone else.

Food is better than mediocre and good place to watch a game. Low stars because the bartender came by with a dish, I asked for a condiment from him and he never returned with it. Even though he said he bring it to me. Its likely that because he wasn’t going to get the tip because it wasn’t his assigned table he didn’t get it for us. I had to re-ask our ‘assigned’ waiter for the condiment. To bartender(male inshape brown short hair): Don’t tell me you will get me a condiment then not follow through.

3 Fires lounge, hmm what can I say? I have a Love/Hate relationship with this bar. Love: The Bartenders and Bar manager! Super outgoing, very friendly, and very very engaging. They want to chat, want to be in the know, and overall they want you to have a good time! They are willing to comp drinks if there was an error, or remake a unworthy drink. Overall the service is a five star rating! Another love is their Happy Hour! $ 3 well, wine, beer is a fabulous price! Plus $ 3 appetizers(on the small size though)! Last love: small little patio, great for people watching! Hate: The overall prices are way way to high! On a normal day, no happy hour and no special event, a well vodka tonic is $ 7. Please Seagram’s Vodka 750ml at CVS is under $ 10! So if you would like a pretty descent drink it will run you around $ 9 or more. I do understand this is a bar in a hotel but since they advertise and seem to want a non-hotel crowd, prices need to be a bit lower. Another Hate: The bar is confusing, it has two sides divided by a wall but bartenters can work either side. If it is not busy, they can completely miss you or fail to see you. Not so Hate but not a love: The food, is not very large in size and sometimes comes out cold. The sliders, and the wings are pretty descent but a little heat could help my taste buds out. To sum it all up.. .Great Service, Great HH Deals, People watching location, Over Priced and not the best food.…You see, Love/Hate relationship!
