Terrible fried clams, very good everything else. We came with a large group of about two dozen girls and nine chaperones, during a late June Tuesday night. The wait staff handled our large number well — cheerful and professional. The plates had HUGE servings. My fries were delicious, slaw very good and pickle nice and crunchy. The fried clams looked like they might be whole belly, but we’re not. They had even less taste than the cheapie artificial rubber band stripes one usually gets. Oh well.

Like going here because its an outside bar. Service is always slow… strawberry coolata, blue sangria and fish bowls are great! Fave thing on the menu are the friend clam strips. Just ordered a burger last night actually, asked for it WELLDONE… came to me on a bloody bun. Took a quick bite and what do i have? A medium done burger. I know a lot of people ask for medium but i like it WELLDONE. Have a huge staff yet they cant seem to keep up…

Biked it to Rye on a nice day and hung out at the bar. Since it was a weekday, there wasn’t a lot of people there, which made it nice to sit back and relax. Makes it feel like you’re on vacation. Ordered the fried ravioli, nachos w/guacamole and raw oysters. Enjoyed it all as I washed it down with a few beers.

Great time, scenery was great, service was a little confusing not knowing who was covering who table, although the orders were corecct and brought to us in a timely fashion. Had a woderful time but left when the band started to walk the pier! Try it you will enjoy it.

Such a beautiful view and great drinks, the place is right next to playland so you can take the kids to playland and then go wine and dine at The Tiki bar for lunch or dinner. The service is great I would definitely recommend this place to anyone…

Don’t go — not worth it. Just awful. Plain — flavorless — deep fried food. Don’t spend the money — it would be easier to just flush the cash — that way you avoid the potential food poisoning. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review, but Pier Restaurant and Tiki Bar makes it easy.

Absolutely the worst service in my life. Waited for 10 minutes to give a drink order(for an outrageously priced drink). After the drinks arrived, we ordered fish and chips. After a 40 minute wait, our server asked if we wanted to order food. She was surprised when we pointed out we’d already ordered… with her. She never placed the order. Complained how«busy she was», yet there were only 3 people also sitting at the bar. Didn’t even comp our drinks after the mistake. Only good thing about this place is the view. RIPOFF!

I liked this restaurant, because it has a view of the Long Island Sound, and Rye Beach. The cheeseburger was delicious. It’s also adjacent to Playland.

This place is highly overpriced and a huge disappointment for the concept. If you think your paying for the ambience then your definition of ambience is flies everywhere which often land in your drink. The food is cafeteria quality with no flavor. The servers, while they mean well, are absolutely clueless which shows its managed poorly. The bathrooms look like they have last been cleaned during World War II. You would think the drinks would be a high point but then you would be mistaken. The large fishbowl was 75% ice and so watered down 2 people sharing it didn’t even get a buzz. $ 28 for a Lobster Roll? Red Hook in NYC which is known for being one of the best Lobster Rolls in NY is only $ 22. Tiki Bar is no Red Hook. Their website mentioned a Thursday lobster special but the waitress said, «We aren’t doing that special this year.» In the 21st century it’s easier to update a website than tie your shoe lace. So they can’t clean their bathrooms, update their website, train their staff and bartenders, cook a tasty meal or bring value to their overpriced menu. AVOID this place.

We Hosted a party here for my sons communion for about 45 people on May 21. They have a great outdoor party space on the boardwalk that’s covered. It turned out to be a chilly day, so the staff supplied outdoor heaters which were helpful. The views from there are gorgeous and unbeatable. We had the party menu, which was served buffet style, with an assortment of chicken, ribs, clams, corn on the cob, hot dogs, burgers, and for dessert was a huge fruit salad. I supplied the cake and cookies, which the staff displayed nicely on the dessert table. Everyone said the food was great, and overall the party was a lot of fun and I wouldn’t hesitate to make another party there again.

Three stars when viewed as a whole. The food and drinks are expensive, but the portions are ample. Service was touch-n-go at first, but she warmed up. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle, just like they should be, with good flavor. The hamburger and bun was only ordinary, not memorable. The Tiki platter for two was enough to serve four lunch appetites, so the price tag was reasonable. The mixed drinks were $ 12, so we didn’t drink a lot.

This is a fun stop for food and drinks if you happen to be spending the afternoon at Rye beach. The place is suuuuuuper touristy but I’ve always been a sucker for tiki bars. While the food isn’t amazing you get to eat and drink by the ocean. There is a happy hour at the bar from 3 – 6, which is a good opportunity for oysters and beer.

Fun place to go to be by the water! A little pricy but you’re paying a little extra for the entertainment many times live bands mixed with a DJ! Try the Old Bay Peel & Eat Shrimp! You won’t be disappointed

I hate writing this review because we really enjoy their sister restaurant(Seaside Johnnies). Here is the issue. it is so popular on nice nights that they are ill-equipped to handle the crowd. They have resorted to seating people in numerous areas around the pier area and the other day when we went it is so overcrowded they actually halted any seating or even taking names. However they wanted our phone number so they could call us if something opened up later on. This is rediculous because the people already waiting before the cutoff have a 60 – 90 min wait and it was almost 8:30PM. So unless we wanted a call at 10−11PM once we were already home for a table this is completely crazy. The other issue here is that you have to pay $ 5 to park to go there. then you find out you cannot stay. The guy running the host stand was kind of rude as well. We tried to go to the bar which was open and had a line and did not need a reservation and he stopped us questioning where we were going. I asked if it was ok to go to the bar and he said«of course.» So why the abrupt halt to us going to the bar in the first place? Now we have had food there before. the food quality is alright but the menu is smaller and not as good as Seaside Johnnies. We were hoping to give it another go. So overall the place could be great but I am hesitant to go there and pay for parking to find out I can’t get in. A sign as you enter the parking area telling you wait times would be helpful.

First off! Service is great! The waitress was very attentive and helpful! Love the seating by the pier next to the bar. The drinks were awesome and strong! Just the way I like it! Next time I’ll try their menu. Went for the first time on a Sunday with my boyfriend. They had a nice live band playing music. When we left late he realized that he’d left his cell phone on the their tabletop Luckily they saved it for him the next day when he went to retrieve it! It’s good to know that ! Will definitely be going back again.

Great view of Long Island Sound. The pier is large, not crowded. The Tiki bar is decorative, staffed with friendly bartenders, and the wait staff are professional. Fresh oysters and the happy hour, 3 – 6, means the oysters are 1.00 apiece!!! The tropical drinks are on point! So nice to have an outdoor spot, on the water! Love it!

Friendly and prompt service, good live music, and a great venue when the weather was as good as it was last night, but the food is extremely overpriced and unappealing(some may be fresh, but most of it is definitely just frozen, prepackaged crap) and the drinks are inconsistent(half of the crowd I was with did not enjoy their drinks, due to what seemed like poor mixology). One suggestion(although this place should definitely be open to hearing several): If your establishment is going to focus heavily on drinks with«lime» and«lime juice» in them, why not do away with awful sour mix entirely and transition to fresh lime juice? It’s a little more expensive, but your customers will appreciate it… and you’re already ripping people off as it is with your outrageous prices, so it probably won’t even affect your bottom line!

Great spot on the water but everything else about this place needs to be improved. The food is mostly deep fried, price is easily 2−3x compared to similar places. Drinks are priced about 2x and are fairly weak. Service is ok. Parking is $ 7 at play land. Rumor has it that they’ll take $ 3 off your 2−3x priced food/drinks but they don’t advertise this nor tell you about it when you get your bill. Expect to spend over $ 125 per couple for just two drinks and a two appetizers. They had a live band that they blare into the eating area. Which is pretty far from the band but means you can’t have a conversation at your dinner table. Not much to recommend here.
