Very fresh high quality sushi that is artfully prepared and presented beautifully. Very friendly and attentive staff. Lettuce wraps and pork gyoza were delicious and the sushi was so fresh!

Best sushi in Westchester bar none! Service is attentive and food is excellent. I don’t even order off the menu anymore, I just tell them to bring me the next plate. I have been dining with Steve for years & am never disappointed! Thank you always for such a great dining experience!

I believe this is the best Japanese restaurant in Westchester. Came here on a tuesday night and the service was very good. We started with the slice n dice which is an amazing appetizer consisting of tuna, yellowtail and salmon — I highly recommend it. They take pride in the freshness of their fish so every bite is absolutely delicious. In particular, the toro was very special. I would suggest closing your eyes for each bite to enhance the experience. I will definitely be back here soon.

I came here the other week with a friend and had a wonderful time! I spoke with the staff and asked our waiter, Shelby for his personal recommendations. He was so polite, kind, and yet enthusiastic about the specials of the day and sake.(You can really tell, when someone likes what they do) He listened to our requests and he asked us if we add any allergies or special restrictions, which was great because my date was allergic to shellfish, and so was our waiter. LoL. This immediately put me at ease and then we proceeded to order starting with edamame and sake first… 1) Yamahai Daiginjo Tedorigawa, Nanago, & Suirakuten I am pretty familiar with Sake, but did not recognize most of the names on their sake list. I usually like to drink Otokoyama, Dassai 50, Nanbu bijin, Wakatake Onigoroshi or something similar in nature. Not wanting to look like a snob, I asked if it would be possible to taste some sake before buying it.(One can hope… right?) Our waiter, Shelby said Yes, of course!(I was a happy man) He came back and said that these 3 were the best sake in the house with a future one to come later. The three sample shots he bought were were yamahai daiginjo tedorigawa(YDT), nanago(N), and suirakuten(S). Here’s my review for future guests and sake lovers– YDT– Dry, smooth, earthy– good to enjoy with heavier foods N-Smooth, fruit-forward– good to enjoy as a dessert sake or if you like sweet drinks S-Dry, clean, smooth taste– good to pair with sushi/sashimi They were all Daiginjo’s(premium sake’s) so we decided on a bottle of Suirakuten, it was the most expensive of all the 3, but who cares when you are having a good time. YOLO!!! On to the food… 2) Slice N’ Dice(Highly recommended) This was an amazing sashimi dish! It had sliced and diced pieces of tuna, salmon, yellow tail, and avocado with micro greens and avocado sauce. It was so good we forgot to take a picture of it until it was too late; actually the whole meal. Sorry. =(Great dish; Compliments to the chef! 3) Home made pork dumplings Great dumplings! These suckers are filling but owww sooo good! Bonus points, that they are home made and not the frozen stuff you see in the super market. 4) Seared Toro(fatty tuna) Sushi These suckers melt like butter in your mouth! I like how the seared part helps to break up the fatty sinew(muscle tissue) of the fish to make it taste semi-cooked and delicious at the same time. This was a great recommendation from our waiter! Cheers Shelby! 5) Sushi Assortment– Omakase We wanted to enjoy more recommendations and ordered the Omakase(Chef’s choice) We got live scallops, live uni from California, Yellow tail belly, King salmon, King red snapper(madai), and a few other pieces I cannot remember, but they all tasted really soooo good. We also got fresh wasabi with the omakase and that made it taste even better! I was in sushi/sashimi heaven w/the sake too. OMG! 6) Sashimi King Roll As part of the omakase we were getting a roll too from the chef’s and they were originally going to give us a King Triton roll(has lobster and shrimp in it) which was rated in the the NY Times, but because of my date’s shellfish allergy they gave us the Sashimi King roll instead. It was an amazingly tasty roll without rice; it had mango, tuna, crunch, spicy tuna inside, eel sauce and a couple other things I don’t remember(Must be getting old). It was good and a perfect last roll without rice, because we were already on the brink of full before this. 7) Dessert and Tea Dessert was a fruit cup with whip cream and some Jasmine green tea to help soothe with digestion Overall experience I had a great time here, definitely a place to impress a date. Definitely go with the Omakase if you want the best and freshest sushi/sashimi available. Slice N’ Dice and Seared Toro are the must have’s here as well as the Home made pork dumplings. Ask for Shelby, and he will be sure to take care of you, in the sake department as well. Cheers to the Chef and staff at Fogama! Great Job!!!

Best sushi restaurant in Westchester hands down. Original menu, service spectacular, the owner is always around to remedy any issue you might have. Try the slice n’ dice appetizer and a lichi Martini — hard to beat!

We tried this lovely little sushi place again, today, and it was excellent! Everything was wonderfully put together and the service was good. It was a bit like coming home. Miso soup was excellent. Spicy tuna cracker, appetizer, was also excellent, though the 4-piece portion seemed small relative to the $ 15 price tag. Spicy kanji salad, another appetizer, was a real treat, as were the assortment of rolls that were enjoyed by the family. The four of us were were well fed for about $ 120, before alcoholic beverages.

Food is good but service was slow! My sashimi took 30 minutes! That’s just cut raw fish people. My sea bass was awesome but the veggies were cold and came with white rice when I ordered brown. Not sure I’ll rush back.

Start to finish, extremely satisfied. My fiancé and I visit Fogama on a weekly basis and basically just can’t get enough. I usually start out with a mandarine Cosmo from the bartender Rose and it is ALWAYS on point! The house dumplings and salmon wasabi crackers are also a usual must to start us off but as far as entrées, that varies depending on our mood. I have not once been disappointed and I can tell the quality is top notch. Other reviews have commented on price however you truly get what you pay for. High quality, delicious food. The owner Steve and wife Linda go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and pleased. We are always greeted with a warm welcome and the servers are attentive and great as well.

Came here for a girls night and had an awesome time. The wait staff were super nice and the food was better than I expected. We shared three starters and they were all good. I ordered the seafood curry ramen noodle soup and thought it tasted good. They loaded it with seafood. More than I thought I was going to get. The broth flavor was good. I count event finish it. We also shared the chocolate lava cake and a carrot cake and both were really good. Definitely would go back again. The rolls were also very big.

I really enjoyed their food. Had the crispy summer roll and the seafood curry udon soup. I wish they had happy hour specials Sake was expensive. Flavors were good — and I’m picky about my Japanese food. I would go here again but probably not order booze.

I am not sure how this restaurant get good review… Sushi Fish were so not flesh, and really disgusting, and my son who loves Sushi could not finish his meal because it was so not flesh. I had Pad Thai but it had no flavor. Just salty and greasy. Not recommended.

I usually dine in Port Chester or Greenwich, but, tried this place tonight on a whim. Sadly, I didn’t even know this place existed but I am glad I discovered it! Great atmosphere, wonderful staff– all around great place. I had a saketini to drink and have been to places where this drink is ridiculously good(Asian Temptation in White Plains) and ridiculously bad in others(most other places) and this was spot on! We had a Boston roll, spicy tuna roll, and miso soup for appetizers. The Boston roll was great, the spicy tuna roll was above and beyond amazing– I wanted to cancel my dinner and order 3 more tuna rolls! I’m not a huge fan of miso soup in general, but, what I sampled, I actually enjoyed. For dinner, I couldn’t decide between 3 different noodle dishes and based on the server’s recommendation had rice noodles with chicken. When it came to the table, it was not what I thought it was going to be at all so I was a little skeptical but was not disappointed at all. It was light and refreshing with a great assortment of veggies. The pineapple fried rice was good, too. I think I have found a new sushi place to go to in the neighborhood. I can’t wait to go back and order the spicy tuna! Everything’s just ridiculously tasty and fresh.

I eat here at least once a week. The Sushi is just terrific. The owner, Steve is very pleasant and helpful with«off menu» suggestions. It can be pricy, but all good quality Sushi is expensive. I only gave it 4 Stars because I have dined at Nobu. I believe it is as good Sushi one can obtain in Westchester.
