Carrier Houses Bed & Breakfast

Never stayed in a B&B before, so this was new for me. I loved it! The owners were super nice, and hard working. The breakfasts were made to order and amazing. The rooms were decorated nicely, and homey.
I highly recommend this place.
There were no bath rugs on the floor so I felt bad throwing the towels on the floor so I wouldn’t slip.

Stayed here on vacation in NC for a week with my fiancé. Like Paul said, Dan and Lynn were the most hospitable people Ive met in Rutherfordton (and I grew up there: P) Breakfast every morning was spot on! Not your usual NC country fare, but rather what you would expect to see in a fine dining establishment. With dishes such as Egg and Cheese Crepes and Stuffed French Toast, its worth the stay just for breakfast in the morning. They also had a knack for noticing and remembering the little details about you. Take for example the fruit plate they served before the main breakfast. On the first morning I didn’t eat the melon they put on it because I dont like it… after that I never saw it again! Its little things like that which impressed me most. They really went out of their way to get to know you and make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The room was clean and comfortable as well. It was designed in a victorian style which I thought was interesting because its something you dont see everyday. That was one of the things that attracted me to it in the first place. Its not your everyday hotel or B&B. The best part though was how reasonably priced it was. After looking online at the rates for the two chain hotels in town and then the Carrier House, it was a no brainer which one to choose.
If you are in Rutherfordton and you need a place to stay I highly recommend Dan and Lynns fine establishment. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer couple of folks with a warm bed waiting for your stay.

Dan & Lynn (owners) are the most hospitable people I ever met at any B&B throughout America compared to many I have stayed at plus their breakfast is a ‘10’ for breakfast’s anywhere. I highly recommend you stay here, and have one of the most memorable experiences to make a mark in your Rosetta stone for B&B’s. Oh; by the way the rooms are extremely clean, and have much period furniture; plus you must see the waterfall outside with the gigantic coi fish.
