I’ve only ever gotten their BBQ chicken pizza, but it’s hands down the best BBQ chicken pizza I’ve ever had.

They have the best soups. I ordered lentil soup and it was just like my grandma’s used to make it. Flavorful good to the last drop! :)

I am very disappointed I have been going to this Pizza place for many years. However the time has come to part ways. I order two pizza for pick-up when I went to pick it up it was not ready I had to wait. Then I get to my house and they had delivery another tow of the same order. When I call them back to tell them that I all ready had my order one of the workers I am guessing it’s the delivery guy gave me an attitude for no reason. This is not good service to the customer who is calling for you to come get the extra pizzas that we did not pay for. I will not longer be ordering food from them.

I came here tonight with my husband, mother in law and a friend. My mother in law stated we had to come in for their pizza. So we went in, nothing special, same ambiance as any other pizza place. We sat down and was greeted by a super nice waitress. Ask us what we wanted to drink and handed out menus. We wanted bottled soft drink but the only carry cans with most soft drinks… Bummer when me and my husband share a drink and we prefer bottles. We browsed the menu and prices are pretty good not expensive at all but expensive when it came to the pasta entrees and dinner menu. Service: I can’t say it was great. Waitress didn’t have it together and had to ask the guy behind the counter basics questions on certain items and what each came with. I can’t expect great service from a pizzeria but know the menu! Food: My husband ordered a meat Stromboli, my friend ordered a meatball sandwich, I ordered a cheesesteak special and my mother in law ordered a roast beef sandwich. The food was pretty great with the exception of my friends meatball hero. He ordered it with extra sauce and the sandwich was pretty dry and disappointed and so he asked if he can have more sauce and the waitress brought out a condiment cup of sauce. Just beware when it comes to ordering extra sauce and/or cheese because we got charged an extra 75 cents for extra sauce. That wasn’t communicated to us when we ordered the extra sauce. I hate surprises. And it’s awkward when paying for the meal when handed the check. My husband and friend communicated that they weren’t told sauce costed extra and they had some nerve charging for it in the first place when her HAD to order more because his sandwich was dry. I guess the guy they spoke to was the owner but he only offered free sauce next time we were there to eat. My friend expressed we won’t be coming back here again. Honestly, food was great but I wouldn’t find myself going back here again. I’m from out of town and pizza places around my area would never charge me 75 cents for sauce. I only gave two stars for good food and ok service. If you go here order the pizza and sandwiches(great!) and just take your food home.

Do not waste your time with this place. Ordered food over the phone while visiting the area for a concert. We ordered pizza, pasta and chicken cheese steak. The delivery took roughly 1 hour 15 minutes. Upon arrival of the delivery driver, the driver gave attitude towards us. The delivery guy hands us our ordered food. However, did not bring us the pizza we ordered. We asked the driver if he brought our pizza and his response«they never placed it in my delivery bag» First off I’m you’re a delivery guy don’t you double check the food to make sure you bring everything you need? Secondly, do not give the customers attitude, because you forgot the food that you’re suppose to delivery. Lastly, he demands the money up front before he brings our pizza back. Terrible customer service. The food was average. By the way, never received our pizza. Stay clear from this place!

Don’t waste your time with ordering online. Many issues. From wrong cc info being transferred to a delivery turning into a pickup. No apologies, just excuses blaming the customer. Food is good but not worth the aggrovation.

The next stop on «The Pizza Project 2015» was technically Syntagma Square Café in Greece(but Unilocal doesn’t exist yet in Greece which really stinks) so let’s skip that one. Back in America(where Unilocal is once again working) and the fridge is completely empty and you see that right across the street from where your kids are currently doing karate is a solid 4-star joint and you make your way over for a pie and you’re glad you did.(Sandwiched between two warhorses in Italian food — Paisano’s up the street a bit and Valentino’s just a few buildings away you know Da Mario’s can’t afford to not do solid food or risk be wiped off the block.) Friendly staff. The place is busy(people eating there and their delivery guy coming and going consistently) for a Monday night. All good signs. The pie was piping hot, tasted great, and while maybe too much grease ended up oozing onto my plate — my family was mighty happy with the meal. And you don’t realize how much you can miss a classic pizza until you’re over in a Unilocal-less country that uses Edam cheese(?!) as a staple on their pies.

The pizza was a bit thicker than I am used to, and it was also greasy — one of those situations where you fold it up, and the oil drips onto your hand when you bite it. It soaked to the bottom of the pie in places. Ultimately, it was serviceable but not extraordinary. My hero sandwich was also simply adequate.

Friendly staff, good food, fair price point. What more could you ask for in a local pizzeria? We’ve tried several things off the menu, including the pizza. White with tomato and eggplant is the favorite pie in our household. Linguini with white Clam sauce is up to par, and a generous portion as well, and they also send bread to sponge up the sauce. Eggplant rollatini is good, too. Again, generous portion that may leave you with a bit for lunch the next day. Delivery is always prompt, polite, and without issue as we order from them 2 to 3 times in a month. With so much pizza competition around these parts, it’s important to have a strong product. They definitely have that here.

We are so tired of trying to find a decent place for pizza that we all can agree on! With 6 kids, that is nearly impossible, so we decided to give our one daughter a try with DaMario’s. Well thank you very much! We have been ordering for a couple of weeks now, and must say, all of us are happy! While we did try Mamma Rosa’s on Union, it was stupid $$$, and they charged us for delivery right in our own town! This was good, fresh, and the toppings were just right as well. We also ordered the garlic/mozz bread. That lasted 10 seconds for 2 loaves! I shall try the other menu items, as people seem to love the chicken parm… We order online and love that convenience.

Placed an order for pick up once, got a flat tire on way to pick up, completely forgot to call them because of car problems and they called me to ask if I was picking up. I politely apologized because of my situation and told them I couldn’t make it in, well they called the cops on me!!! Seriously!!! Are they that desperate for customers, don’t they sympathize with situations beyond my control! Horrible customer service, horrible way to do business, Would NEVER eat there again after that. I have never in my life heard of a pizza place calling the cops!!! The food isn’t that good and the people that work there are all miserable, not friendly at all!

The neighborhood Italian you always hope to find in Northern NJ at lunchtime. Perfectly executed chicken Francaise with warm bread and butter and a friendly waitress — all for $ 6.75. Gets packed at 3pm with local schoolkids, and the décor is nothing to shout about, but I’d definitely recommend this place. Liquor store next door is excellent too(and has free parking).

I’m staying in East Rutherford for work. Needed a place to order from. Asked at the hotel desk, they gave me a menu from Lyndhurst pizza. TERRIBLE. Looked on Unilocal, found Damario’s. EXCELLENT. Had baked ziti and chicken parm with salad. I’m from NY and this chicken parm was among the best I’ve ever had. Really good recipe. Baked ziti was also good. I’m recommending this place to all my co-workers. If you have not tried this place… TRYIT. You won’t be disappointed.

Delicious delicious delicious! This place makes the best chicken parm, shrimp scampi and Penne a la vodka ever!! I have never been to the actual restuarant, I always order for delivery so can’t speak on the aesthetics of the venue but customer service is aways amazing here. Everyone super friendly. Definitely recommend it :)

This is strictly a pasta review. This pizza was good. Not bad. It hit the spot. But the pasta dishes are something u will remember. I had the Chicken Francaise and its pretty hard for a marsala or francaise to stick out when you’re from Jersey and NY. I still remember how perfect this sauce was, and how simple the plate was. Served with bread of course. Perfectly cooked tender chicken with a light, fresh and just perfect sauce. The plain ol ziti was very good too. They have an extensive pasta menu. Just about everything you can think of and more. I will go back and try all the other pasta dishes I love with time. T My in laws live in these parts and I will have plenty of time to do so. I’ve always thought that pizzerias and deli’s sometimes have the best homemade pasta dishes and sauces and Da Mario’s of Rutherford further backs this theory of mine. Gotta love it!

Don’t order the pizza. Crust is too thick, very doughy almost all bread. If you like your pizza a little more doughy, this is the place for you. Everything else is great. Ordered chicken parm — awesome, the spaghetti was perfectly cooked, the meatballs large and well portioned. I tried this while Mama Rosa’s was temporarily closed.

Better pizza here than Mama Rosa on Union. In fact, the entire Italian menu is good. One of the better take-out Italian restaurants I’ve ordered from. There are some nice tables in here but we only did take-aways.
