Denny’s

When you walk into Denny’s you know exactly what to expect… this time I was even surprised… cold runny eggs (ordered over medium), cold sausage link… worse breakfast ever… should have risked my life and walked across the busy road to Waffle House … If ever in the area and you are dying for something edible … Continue pass this place… not even if you are on the edge of passing out…

I happened to stop here on my way to VA beach; the restaurant itself is nice but the service and food was mediocre at best. I went with a large group and had the opportunity to try several dishes. All in all, I’d recommend the steak and shrimp.

I don’t give Denny’s a five star often. This one is exceptional. Now it depends on your waitress tho. We had Monica. I did see the gimpy older short lady seat people near the kitchen so she didn’t have to walk so far… They definatly clean the coffee machine here. It was creamy and smooth tasting. No bitter bite! Yea! We had breakfast: Senior omlet with muffin and fruit. I also seemed to need a piece of French toast today. Bf had biscuits n gravy $ 4 and came with eggs and potatoes. What a deal. My French toast was soo fluffy. Think they used fresh Texas toast yum. My omlet was so fluffy also. Eggs not cooked too hard or rubbery. Got a side of peanut butter for my muffin too Mmm. Boys eggs were a bit hard for over Mrs but he doesn’t care as much as I would (mine usually poached and I care) All In all a great breakfast‼thanx Monica. See u again this week since we hanging out here.

Cold bacon. Old coffee. Greasy eggs. It filled the void. Now I hope my sensitive stomach doesn’t give me a present. The waitress was awesome though

Ehh, it’s Denny’s. The food and service are pretty standard for what you’d expect at any Denny’s, maybe a little less because our service was slow. We gave them a pass though because they were extremely busy. Our waitress was fairly attentive and our orders came out correctly. Good enough!

I LOVE Denny’s, I really do, but our experience was pretty bad. 15 minute for coffee and tea only to the tea be decaf. Another half hour for food. Oh it looked so good but chicken fried steak could be classified as a throwing weapon. The bring over a second that wAs equally awful. The manager comped my meal which is why it go 2 stars.

This place was awesome for not only the service but the food was really good. Our server was very quick always filling up our drinks and checking back with us. Next time were at Kings Dominion we will stop back.

So far this dennys sucks. Waited for 20 min before the waitress even approached me. She took my order and 10 min later, I get handed a messed up order. It was like the lady didn’t hear a word I said about the way I wanted my meal. After sending it back, it still came out wrong. Don’t think I’ll be back to this dennys

4 stars for an adequate truckstop diner. Eggs were a little dry for the kids. I got the Fit Slam with the egg whites and that wasn’t bad at all. Iced coffee was very sweet.
Waitstaff was friendly and efficient. To top it off, you really gotta go far off the highway to beat $ 3.15/gal these days.

I haven’t been in Denny’s in a long time. Food was great — a lot more healthy menu options, the seasonal specials were very good. The service was excellent. Restaurant was clean. We were seated right away, and there is PLENTY of seating, so they can easily handle a large crowd. We skipped the hotel breakfast and came over here and are so glad we did.

Food was good, as expected. Service was excellent. Our Server, Sai, was on top of her game even with the special orders we were making.

I have eaten here before and my opinion hasn’t changed. I walk in, and no one is there to seat me. Once I get seated and the server comes to me, she doesn’t say hi or introduce herself. just says «what to drink»?. Rude. Then I waited a very long time for her to come back and take the order. I ordered a side salad and a entrée. The salad that came out was huge and smothered with ranch dressing. I couldn’t even eat it. I sent it back. The entrée was good but she didn’t bring me the side of bread, I had to ask for it. And then I had to ask another server for a refill. Horrible service.

Fantastic little gem of a Denny’s hidden in a sketchy truck stop! Stopped for breakfast on way to DC– it is clean, friendly, and precious, decorated for Halloween!

2 stars is a stretch, but I’ve also told myself I will only give 1 star if I refused to eat there again. In Dennys case, we’re close. I would eat there again if there was nothing else around.
My first clue should have been the fact that Dennys is connected to a large truck stop. My wife and I both ordered Moon over My Hammy. Looked great in the menu. But came out as a pile of eggs & cheese on very greasy Texas toast. I also ordered a side of pancake puppies. Also very greasy, and reminded me of something you would get at a County Fair. Wish we had just gone to McDonalds.

Today makes 4 out of the last 5 times that I’ve ordered food to go and they forgot something. Good thing I always check before I leave the parking lot. It’s the only place in the area to catch a late «edible» breakfast.

We went here for breakfast on a saturday. We were not overly pleased with the food. The hash browns were undercooked and the ham steak was more like spam steak. I gave an extra star for the convince of its location right off the interstate. Perhaps if I had been drinking Bloody Mary’s this would have turned out better bit they serve no «beverages». Good luck!

I am not sure why we went to Denny’s when there was a Cracker Barrel down the street. I guess it just slipped out minds! The food was just not very good. Everything was a little burnt, and my over medium eggs were a bit slimy. The next time I need breakfast on a Saturday, I will probably cook it myself or try somewhere else. On a side note, the staff was friendly, but the service was lacking a little bit.
