Salon Fuse

Worst highlights I have gotten in a long time. Didn’t go up to the root ANYWHERE ON MY HEAD and had growth a week later making it look like I needed highlights again. The woman also went on… and on… and ON about how damaged my hair was. No one wants to hear that and I got the point after she said it the first couple of times. She also took FOREVER. Really annoying and frustrating experience.

I love Salon Fuse. I am very picky in who does my hair. I went to a different salon in Birmingham and they did my highlights very poorly. I had fried my hair and ruined the ends and Salon Fuse is helping my hair get healthy again! I went in using a Groupon but my hair needed much more. The owner is very nice and very personal. She spent a lot of time on my hair. I love how it looks now! I am going back for more highlights and I also went back for a blow out and curls which she did an amazing job. I would strongly recommend Salon Fuse.

I went here because I’m new to the area and saw a great deal on Groupon. I’m all about supporting small businesses but this lady is rude, lazy, and did a TERRIBLE job on my hair.
First off; I got hightlights, conditioning treatment, cut, and styled all in 45 min. When I walked in and mentioned the groupon she automatically acted like I was inconveniencing her and completely switched gears and rushed through EVERYTHING. And I was the only one there.
I’ve been getting highlights for 10 years and I’ve come out better from going to a student. She put like four foils in my hair, didn’t even come close to my roots, ran through already bleached hair WHEN I SPECIFICALLY SAID NOT TO. And now it just looks like I have a bunch of uneven blotches of blonde. It looks awful… then she takes me to the «conditioning treatment» which she, of course, complained about giving to me even though she had it on groupon. After that she «trimmed» my hair giving me a completely uneven cut and horrendous layers. I don’t even know what to call my hair right now. I mentioned to her at the end that I didn’t think she did a good job on my hair. Do you know how painful it was handing over a tip to that woman? But I figured she needed all the help she can get.
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE A BLONDE. My experience there was my worst hair nightmare coming to life.
And thanks salon fuse. I have to pay double this month for my hair to get it fixed and I don’t know what the hell to do with my hair for the next sixth months while I patiently wait for these layers to look somewhat normal again.

I cannot say enough good things about this salon! Evie worked MAGIC on my damaged, over processed hair… I left feeling and looking like a million bucks! She was attentive, kind as can be and very artful. She just knew what to do! I have salon hopped for years. from Birmingham to Royal Oak to Farmington Hills searching for the right place, I have at last found it! I will never go anywhere else. I am committing to Fuse Salon and Evie. Evie… I cannot thank you enough for the way you made me feel today! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The space is clean and the décor is trying for trendy/​upscale. The space is small but well appointed.
The staff was rude and uninterested in my business. I went in (after calling but not getting an answer) to schedule a consult for a perm, a service listed on their website. Either there was a language barrier or an attitude barrier because I had to ask three times to schedule a consult before the employee finally moved towards the desk to schedule something – but not before sighing in exasperation and rolling her eyes. The first two times I asked she just started at me as if she didn’t understand what I was saying. Its not as if they were busy, just two ladies standing around chatting while one fixed her lipstick in a mirror.
Maybe Salon Fuse is having a bad day, but I’d rather take my business to an establishment that actually wants my patronage. I was sorely disappointed by the way the staff behaved at this salon.
