I question whether or not they should really call what they sell here gelato. Because it’s not — it’s ice cream. And while it’s not bad ice cream, I don’t get why they’re trying to pass it off as gelato…

Yum – gelato! Granted, when they opened up a couple years ago, they didn’t really have any competition, and may still not (I don’t live there anymore). I don’t know where else in the area there is to get gelato. They’ve got a wide variety of flavors and you can sample them too. I’ve sat inside and found it a bit too chilly, and there’s also a little space to hang out in front, which is always entertaining for people-​watching, since it’s on the main drag (on the east side between 3rd & 4th), and it seems like the whole world hangs out in Royal Oak there on weekends.
