Soggy steak and cheese sub… I chose this sub because people rave on it being 18 inches. The unfortunate thing is that you receive less than 10 inches worth of meat in between a soggy sub roll. The chicken wings were delicious but I forgot to snap a picture of them. I probably would give them another try but stay away from their steak and cheese.

I went here for lunch. Got a slice of pizza… worst pizza I have EVER even LOOKED at. Lol. I did not eat the pizza it was so horrible looking. Heavy, soggy, greasy. If you go here… don’t get the pizza. Actually, don’t get anything! The place is filthy. The floors are dirty. They put the trash right next to where people sit… when there was plenty of other places to put it. Bad place. I will never go back.

Ordered a buffalo chicken calzone and some mozzarella sticks for delivery on a lazy football-watching Sunday. Overall, the food was pretty good and the delivery arrived in around 45 minutes, which is fairly quick. It was more of a 3.5 star experience but I figured I would round up. The buffalo chicken calzone had a nice balance of crust, chicken, and cheese. The crust had some crispiness to it at the edges and a nice flavor. The chicken had the appropriate amount of spice to it for my taste. There was a good amount of cheese inside the calzone as well as some melted on top, though not so much that it was overwhelming. They did not include a side of blue cheese dressing, which was a major disappointment since that is an expectation with a buffalo chicken calzone. They should either include blue cheese dressing or indicate that it is not included so that it can be requested separately. The mozzarella sticks went the route of breaded as opposed to battered. They weren’t bad but weren’t great either. The marinara sauce that came with them had a pretty nice flavor but was thin in consistency for my taste. I probably wouldn’t order them for delivery again but can imagine they would be more appealing if ordered in the restaurant. The value for the food was ok. I would order again but with a few reservations due to the missing blue cheese dressing with the buffalo chicken calzone.

FINALLY a restaurant in the dudley area that delivers *good* food & accepts credit cards. The restaurant is clean with decent staff and decent seating if you’d like to eat in here. All of their food is pretty good except the steak-tips which were dry as hell and skimp as well! NEVER order the chicken wings at night because it seems as if they don’t change their cooking oil around that time, I learned that after a few disappointing orders. Good job on offering delivery because it’s the best option in the area. P. S. it’s the same people that own AK’s near Roxbury Crossing.

The service is pretty decent and the food is good. I work nearby and whenever I had to pick up an order, I never had to wait longer than I expected. I like their pizza too, but only when it’s fresh.

So I was spoiled — I ate here for the first time before they switched over their menu, so I was given a huge spinach feta calzone for $ 5.50. When I saw this calzone, I was in complete awe, and so excited for my future lunches at the Dudley Square Grille. The good old days had to end sometime though; I’m just sorry I didn’t take advantage of this place sooner. Quite reasonably, they changed their menu and increased their prices. Now it doesn’t make much financial sense to eat lunch here ALL the time. Their food is still very good, and very reasonable for what you get, just not the steal that it once was. Very good food in Dudley Square.

This place used to be the bomb with great service and great food, but since the new owners took over, the friendly factor has gone down along with food quality. The price is still awesome and the food is still good enough, so I can’t complain, but I always find myself comparing them to the previous owners.

I eat here at least once a week. This place has delicious food and after awhile the employees get to know you. They are quick and usually not an issue. Sometimes the pizza is not too good but since it is rare I credit it to occasional laziness. Long story short, this place is not as bad as some of these reviews. I love it. the wings, white pizza and steak & cheeses to be specific!

So Stash’s down Dudley got new owners apparently, and they are terrible! 4 people at one register, and nobody knows what’s going on. A slither of mustard on my Italian, barely there Cesar dressing on my friend’s Cesar wrap; what happened? These are basic sandwiches that were once incredible, now we can’t even get our sandwiches sliced in two without asking. Wherever the former owners went, please come back. I mean they were selling whole wings as wing dings! Please no! And they only got a two because I know what they can be.

DON’T GIVETHISPLACEBUSINESS! If there was zero stars… this business would get that review! We ordered and the person answering was rude and disrespectful. When we went to pick up order, we asked if the sides were in the bag and they said everything ordered was in there. However, upon returning to work two sides were MISSING! We called to complain and get our money back to be told we would have to leave work and bring the food back to prove it! WORSTCUSTOMERSERVICE!’

My hubby bought dinner for us last night from Dudley square grill… A large steak and cheese calzone … I was a bit disappointment with our dinner because there the limited amount of streak in the calzone was ridiculous… We only ate the middle part of the calzone(about two pieces) since that were the steak was… We would have better better off just getting a steak and cheese sub

This place is no longer staches grille. It’s now called Dudley square grille. First off, don’t bother. Rudest people I’ve ever met. The owner will have you fuming before you even pay. Extra blue cheese? Forget about it. That’ll cost you a buck. And some bitching just to get it… Take my word, they suck. They’re rude. And you’ll end up paying way too much for rude attitudes and C– food ATBEST. Giving 1 star because 0 isn’t an option.

There food here is good! But false advertisement is what they are showing on the website. I called in to order a wing dinner and the price on on line was8.00 $.When I called in the guy says“it’s 10.50 $.“Not good! He then informed me that they haven’t used that menu in a long time. What kind of business does this… I would suggest south end for wings at least they have a honest menu on line.

Tried Stash before heading over the Reggie Lewis. Got to taste test the crab meat salad before buying. YUM Yes please! Kinda small but that’s to be expected when using real seafood right? I banged it out in about 6 bites. Then made a phone call and was asked to bring food for the gang. 3 pizzas should do it they said. Guy behind the counter hooks me up with some special because I paid cash. I got 3 pizzas and a 2 liter for less than if I just bought 3 pizzas. YEAHBABY! Unfortunately pizza was nothing impressive. Felt like it could of been cooked for a few more minutes. But it served it’s purpose of feeding the hungry masses. Service is kinda slow and the pizzas felt like it took forever. Or maybe because of what I mentioned in the next paragraph made it just feel like forever. Read on… On a side note. Very interesting people coming in and out of this place. One lady started asking me all kinds of questions and demanding all kinds of things from the staff. Then left because she couldn’t find her money. Came back 10 minutes later and starts telling me her whole life story. Um ok… Side side note… Asked if I wanted a cab ride again while walking past Dudley Station. ???

First time here, and there will be a second when I’m in the neighborhood again. I ordered a steak sub with onions, peppers, ketchup and mustard. The wait was a bit long, but it was worth it. A 10-inch bomb for about $ 7. Not bad. Now, I am going to compare this sandwich to my holy grail of steak sandwiches — the infamous Philly cheese steak(from Jim’s on South of course) — and I’d have to say that it’s good competition. The steak was well-seasoned, and they are not stingy with it. Crispy, toasted sesame seed roll was perfect. Next time, I will hold off on the green peppers — they were a little heavy-handed with that, but nothing that can’t be requested off next time.

I agree with the other reviewers: the quality of the food for the price is phenomenal. I’m having the famous Greek salad with chicken today. The steak and cheese sandwich is marvelous(be sure to order it with mayonnaise and«wet hots»), as is the cold Italian sub. The guy behind the counter, who must be the owner, is brusque and fast but very nice. A better place for takeout than for eating in(there’s no air conditioning) but a great, dependable, sub shop. Edit(7÷1÷2013): It’s now called Dudley Square Grill. There has been no change, either in personnel or quality. Strange how these things work.

I just started a new job in the neighborhood and have slowly started branching out my lunch choices and a friend recommended this place. Not only was my grilled chicken and feta salad awesome, but for the size the price was right and the people who work there are so nice. The next time I go on a pizza binge I want to try their bacon ranch chicken… omnomnom

Are you another yuppie that has moved into the Rox and need a place to get great classic pizza(none of this gourmet-z upper crust stuff)? STASH is my man. Not only do they have delicious and affordable pizza but other great yummies on the menu including a wonderful greek salad(get it with chicken) and chicken fingers. Pizza has a medium crust that’s not greasy and not dry. Sundays and Mondays offer a great special: Buy 1 pizza and get a small cheese for free. Reasonably priced. The only down side is they don’t deliver. I love this place!

You know Sal’s Famous from Do the Right Thing? It’s now called Stash’s and it’s in Dudley Square. Well, except for the racial violence. There were a couple of signs posted about not responding to ignorance and promoting peace. Pretty cool! There’s a friendly, playful guy behind the counter taking orders and phone calls, and a clientle made up exclusively of black folks from the neighborhood, people serving jury duty and police officers. There are about 4 standard pizza place booths, but don’t count on getting a seat during the lunch rush. It’s definitely not a date spot, unless you’re 14. But the food is good, fresh and cheap. A small chicken parm sub(which felt like a large) was just $ 5 and definitely held its own. Next time I’m called for jury duty, I’ll go back!
