I love this little tea ren place. I’ve been there three times and the drinks and the service are always consistent. I love getting the jasmine milk green tea and the popcorn chicken. They keep the place super clean. There are several tables for customers to dine in. If I wanted a study place other than Starbucks… This place is nice and quiet for a study session!

Ten Rens is a solid place to get teas. Their tea leaves here are a higher quality than your typical tea house. This location is one of their smaller spots and it is usually a shadow to the Fullerton Rd. location nearby, but the service is always quick and friendly. I came here just minutes right before closing one night after a massage at Kingdom of Reflexology because I wanted a drink for the drive home and they were still able to take my order. I felt so bad, but Jonathan was very friendly and welcoming. I did not feel rushed at all. I ended up getting a hot ginger tea and an iced lemon honey green tea. Jonathan took the extra time to ask me if I liked any add-ons to my drink or if I wanted it less sweetened since they have options to make it ½ less sweetened and ¼ less sweetened. Even while making my drink he was friendly and asking me about my day. Without being asked to, Jonathan placed a sleeve on my hot ginger tea and also a stopper on top. Great service! I’m actually rounding up a star because he was so friendly! I hope his manager reads this and gives him a raise or a bonus. :) A few of my other recommendations for Ten Rens would be their iced honey milk green tea with egg pudding and their green apple green tea. It really depends on what I’m craving, but all of their teas are solid. Since this location does not get as much traffic, they are usually faster with your orders. If you come late like me, don’t forget to tip! These kids work hard supporting themselves through college. And also get their stamp card: Buy 10 drinks, get 1 free.

This place is really slow for everything. We ordered some fries, and some other really simple dishes. It took over one hour to get our dishes. Not going to come here again ever.

The Honey Apple Black Tea was a excellent. It was very smooth with a subtle hint of apple and honey. It was the perfect way to start of an evening dinner. Highly recommend getting this drink.

Very good spot for good food, drinks and prices. I have tried most of their food there and so far it had all been good.

Been here a few times, slow service, the tea baristas don’t seem to be coordinated like their Starbucks counterpart when it comes to moving customers orders through.

It doesn’t say«Ten Ren» in English on their sign outside. It’s in Chinese! Just FYI but it has the same logo. Environment/Service: This shop is different from most Ten Rens. This is half a tea shop and half a tea bar which is different. It still has the same vibe as most Ten Rens, but this one is definitely smaller. It was also on the stuffy side when I walked in. All of the workers were very nice. They did mess up on our order but they apologized and fixed it and was very quick with everything. Drinks: –I personally like their love potion#6 with boba. Their boba is very soft yet chewy and has a nice sweet taste. Definitely recommend the boba.

Summary: One of the original’s and still great tea and boba Store: The store itself is half tea shop, boba bar with 4 – 5 tables. It’s a quaint place to sit and enjoy some tea. A large TV has live tweets about TenRen going. Tea: I had the osmanthus oolong milk tea with tapioca. The oolong tea was very apparent and the floral osmanthus was just delicious. I’d have this tea over and over again. The boba were cooked very well, perfectly chewy. Overall: great tea shop that was one of the first boba places decades ago. It’s still great.

I came here before and got a really yummy drink. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember what it was so I went with a taro tea with egg pudding. At first thought it was going to be milk tea like, but apparently it was a slush. Had I known I would of chosen something else. The ice wasn’t even blended well so I was chewing ice every time I sipped my drink. Also, every time, this weird chewy stuff would be in my mouth. When I took it out of my mouth it was like small pieces of triangle shaped jelly(?) I don’t know how to describe it except that is was beige/white and it was not the egg pudding and crumbled in my mouth. Being freaked out and not knowing what it was, I just threw my drink away. Would of returned it but I had drove off already. The drink was a little pricey too– almost $ 5 bucks for a small… Darn if only I knew what I originally got my first time. I probably wouldn’t be writing a poor review for them. Oh yea, … and their customer service sucks-cashier and the girl making the drink. It’s weird when you ask a question and the workers talk to you and not actually make eye contact but instead stare blankly at the wall

Osmanthus oolong tea with boba ftw. The osmanthus oolong taste is very potent and infused, in a good way. If I didn’t get a free regular sized tea, I would likely rate them 3 stars instead of 4. But alas, I did get a free tea, so here is my generous 4 stars.

Great place to hang out in groups, bring your laptop to do work, or just grab drinks and food/snacks! The convenience and ambiance make tenren a versatile place to meet up, hang out, do work, eat, or anything. Comfy and plentiful seating invites you to stick around with your tea or food. That being said, the drinks were a little underwhelming. I ordered the taro milk tea with pudding, no sweetness. The taro milk obviously came from powder because it ended up just super diluted and still sweet. But at least that offset the slurpy SUGARBOMB that was the pudding, omigosh my teeth nearly ached from the sharp sweetness that was diabetes in pudding form, haha. Way too sweet for me personally. My friend ordered the original pearl milk tea, which was good but not great and again too sweet.

Me and my cousin was looking around the the diamond plaza, trying to look for something to eat and we came across this place. Their service was good. They checked on us every few minutes. All of out food and drink came out within 10 minutes or so. The mango and strawberry shaved ice… Amazing. And the teazers… To die for. I would recommend this place if you want something good to try!

I started going to this Ten Ren shortly after it opened… something like 15 years or more. I still visit this location occasionally, and the only reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because it’s not consistent(which is also why I don’t go very often anymore). I don’t mind that they don’t have sit down meals, because I go to the Fullerton Road /Diamond Plaza for that. My only complaint is that over the years there have been so many really amazing drink makers mixed in with so many not so good drink makers, it’s hard to know whether you’re going to show up and get a great drink or a not so great drink. Elva, Jerry, and Andy, were the best drink makers over the entire time I’ve been going. There were others who were also good, but those three were the best. The problem is I can show up now and might get something that tastes like over-steeped tea made with overwhelming syrup(in an attempt to hide the bitterness of the tea), or I might get the best Black Sugar Milk Tea I’ve ever ordered. I’ll never know, and I don’t like to gamble since I live in Orange County and the commute better be worth it. Having said all this, I’d say my general rating of this Ten Ren location is high. They make good drinks. There is also the leaf tea for sale and the same woman has been handling that since the place opened. I love that, because it shows me someone cares about the tea. What to order? 1. Black Sugar Milk Tea 2. Boba Green Milk Tea 3. Passion Fruit Green Tea Those are my favorites

Honestly I love ten ren but this particular location has horrible service. I ordered to go and went out to take a call and when I came back in they asked«Do you need help?». I told them I’m waiting for a to go order. Dude nods his head and walks away. I sat down for 10 or 15 minutes at which point another waitress tells me she needs the table so I move closer to the register. I’m standing for another 10 or 15 minutes and ask if my order is done to which they respond«What did you order?». I tell them my order and they say it should come out soon. Another 5 minutes goes by and I ask if the drink that’s been sitting there for the past 20 minutes is mine and whether the to go bag on the side is mine as well. They’re response? «Oh actually yea that IS yours». Are you kidding me? If you see food just sitting there I would assume as a server you’d look for who ordered it rather than stand around and chatter off with your co workers. On top of that why even ask for my name on the order if you’re never going to call it out for me to know it’s mine? And on top of that tell me my order should be coming out when it was already out. I wasted my time waiting for absolutely no reason. Again the food and boba are good I just absolutely despise the inattentive workers they have at this particular location. My friends have had similar experiences at this location so I’m sure there are plenty of other people who’ve had some kind of similar experience. I’m only giving this review a one star because of the above. Ten Ren’s is awesome but I highly advise you go to another location nearby.

The black sugar milk tea icee is amazing — will definitely be back for another! I got it with boba and pudding, both of which were warm, which was a really cool contrast to the cold, really sweet drink. The snow ice is also a must try. We came here since the line at Class 302 was too long and were very happy with the snow ice that we got, especially since it was covered in the perfect amount of condensed milk.

I am a regular Ten Ren’s customer. You can find me at least once a week in either the location on Lemon, Gale or Valley. This particular location in Pacific Plaza is very different than the others and I’d like to take some time to tell you why. The other location on Fullerton inside Life Plaza is maybe 10x larger and draws larger, younger crowds. Same with the new location on Lemon in Walnut that serves alcoholic beverages. This one is a completely different atmosphere. It’s not open late, there’s no young-ins loitering outside on a Friday night, and doesn’t offer a full food menu. The clientele that frequent this store are usually older in age and stop by to grab a drink to-go. Note that this store is smaller with only about 3 – 4 tables, and there are very few outlets for laptops. Sometimes I don’t want to fight the crowd or run into every Asian person I know in Walnut, so I come here. One thing I like about this location is that this is the only Ten Ren’s in the area with a seating area in the back of the store for actual tea tasting. Their shelves are decorated with legit traditional chinese tea pots and they also sell a mean selection of authentic Chinese teas. It makes the atmosphere feel homey and reminds me more of the Ten Ren’s Tea Houses in Asia. Drinks here are always good. I’ve been coming to this location since I was a kid and even though the drink making area is small, remember that bigger is not always better. My favorite drink to get here is the O’Latte milk tea with mini boba. Sometimes you just want a place to stop in and get a standard drink made with real tea leaves. Ten Ren’s Pacific Plaza is a hidden location that is perfect for just that!

I actually discovered this place when I was buying some ginseng teabags for my parents. Their ginseng teabags are the best in the business, without a doubt. Hands down the best! It is not the cheap powdery type you find in a supermarket. These teabags are made with real ginseng ground to the size of coarsely ground coffee beans. The tea is very flavorful and it retains the flavor even after refilling the cup with water several times. Prices are expensive, but this is of premium quality. I also stop by occasionally for tea and other drinks whenever I’m in the area. This company is famous in Asia for their teas, and the many varieties of their teas are rich and strong. My favorite: just plain old iced green tea, and make sure you ask for it unsweetened. The sweetness actually spoils the authentic Asian flavor of the tea. No boba. No nothing. Just the tea. Because sometimes less is actually more. This place is small with few tables and seats but they are not too busy most of the times that I’ve been there. Sometimes I’ll order a drink and sit there for a while just to relax. There is usually some Asian music playing in the background at a comfortable volume — audible but not too loud. Place is always clean. Staff has always been friendly and cool. Love it here and will be back soon!

What a surprise to stumble upon another Ten Ren location! This café looks a lot different from Cupertino location which is so tiny! I ordered the coffee milk tea with pearls, and wouldn’t really recommend it. The coffee part wasn’t too good, and the pearls were a bit mushy. My friend ordered chocolate milk tea with egg pudding, and it was so rich! Heavy chocolate mik flavor and the egg pudding was thick as well. In comparison to Half & Half’s pudding, this pudding was like a full on dessert lol. This is located in an asian plaza which includes a food court, overpriced makeup store, a few dessert places, and a few restaurants. Maybe I’m just ordering the wrong pearl tea’s when I go out, but everything I get is deplete of a strong tea flavor!

Very Helpful Staff and Yummy Milk Tea Conflict. That’s what I have when I see large selections of tea. Conflict. 1. What do I order? 2. What if it sucks? 3. Every place prepares things differently. Well, here, there was a very nice greeting and the hostess went over their tea selections and how they prepare it. Everything was done with a smile. The milk tea was very good and tasted just like the hostess described. It soothed my bothersome tummy. The store is small, very nicely decorated, but a little cluttered. Prices are reasonable and they have a punch card. Free Wifi. I really like this place and will be back.
