i came here one time. the service was terrible!!! My friend order noodle first, and I want to keep menu order later. The service took away my menu asked me” you need nothing.“therefore I didn’t order, I changed the restaurant. I prefer give them zero star, if you guys want to come, please think about the services.

Yummy food suitable with family and friends. Not the most attractive place to eat but they definitely have tasty food. They have a couple large tables for big party and several smaller tables. I would say, with more people in the party, the better to order different varieties to share. We really enjoy the Chicken soup and it is a must recommend. The food quality has been great and i don’t recall ever having a bad experience there with the food. They do have a great selection of spicy food that I think are well made and delicious. The service is fair and they are like the standard Asian restaurant servers. I would recommend this place for gatherings and just a family dinner out.

It’s gone downhill. Maybe they lost their cook. Their Yúxiangròusi(shredded pork with bamboo shoots) was overly sour, and the Gong Bao Chicken With Peanuts was hardly spicy at all.

This was a place my coworkers and I frequented for lunch, however all that came to a halt when one had insect crawl up her arm. can you believe that!!! OMG!!! GROSS!!! BEWARE peeps. what grade did they get from the Health inspectors? with all the new Sichuan restaurants popping up within 1 – 2 miles radius, they’re going to have to step up their game in order to keep up

Severely under-rated Szechuan restaurant — décor may be wanting, service is occasionally unfriendly(but still attentive), but the spicy, numbing food is tremendous. Felt the dishes delivered more consistently than the hyped Chengdu Taste. The dan dan mian and Zhong’s dumplings are a must. The dan dan mian delivers: rich and savory upfront, with a smouldering spiciness that intensifies as you eat. The Zhong’s dumplings are juicy pork dumplings that arrive in a pool of radioactive-red hot oil — perhaps a little scary to most, but a sign of impending deliciousness to any fan of Szechuan cuisine. You get nearly a dozen or more dumplings for $ 7. Finally there’s an off-menu item that I saw literally EVERY other table order… not even sure what it’s called… «steamed meat buns» is my best guess. These steamed buns are fluffy and soft, filled with pork and vegetables, so juicy that the inside of the bun is brown soaks completely into the inside of the bun. Can’t wait to go back. Be brave my friends, it’s worth it.

I enjoyed the food here. It’s not as good as Chung King in San Gabriel, but it gets the job done. Spring Fried Chicken: While there was a good amount of peppers in here, the flavors weren’t as rich as I would like. However, it was tasty and fried right. Think Popcorn fried chicken sans basil with a lot more powdered/whole chilli peppers. Shredded pork with bean curd: This was just okay. I think it would have tasted a lot better if they add double the amount of leek. Pot of Rice — $ 2 Bottom line: Meal was enjoyable, service was decent, and food came out extremely fast. 3 solid stars.

This place was childhood for me. I havent been here in awhile, but when I came back the quality just wasn’t the same. We got Boiled Fish & Beef Combo — It is full of oil and that numbing feeling just wasn’t there. both the Beef and Fish were tender. Unilocal check in offer — Hot Bean Noodle — The thing was rice noodles and oil. 2⁄5. There wasnt much flavor’ Kung Pao Shrimp — I always get this. this is probably there best thing. Even then, I think the shrimp was a little undercooked? It was perfect after I reheatedit. 3.5÷5 I don’t think ill be back for awhile, it will always give me good memories.

This is definitely the best Szechuan food in Southern California. It’s definitely one of the farthest ones for those of you coming from LA proper like I am, but it’s definitely worth the drive. The food here is more flavorful than any other(although Chung King is a close second) and it’s easier to get a table here than some of the other more popular places. My family is Szechuan and I grew up eating this stuff, this is the closest to home cooking I can find. Dan dan noodles here are out of this world. Spicy chicken cubes are fantastic too, as is the szechuan eggplant. I love the loofah as well. Service is here is pretty comparable to other authentic Chinese places.

My dad loves this place so he took me here once to try it out. The place doesn’t look appetizing but the food is surprisingly good… well some of it anyways. The first thing we ordered was the spicy chicken with chili peppers. Basically it’s like lolichicken from lolicup but with dried chili and lots of em I mean it’s like 40⁄60 ratio of chicken to chili and it is quite spicy. The next thing we got is not from the menu but from the little cart off to the side(you’ll know when you enter). It has cold dishes but it’s better cold imo. We got the beef, the cucumbers and pig ears. They all served with a chili oil sauce thing and your tongue feels numb when you eat enough of it. One advice: Don’t ask for recommendation for soups because I had two terrible experience with it. First was a soup with white broth and it just tastes so weird you can’t get used to it. The second was like an herbal soup and it tastes like medicine and not one of those pharmaceutical medicine I mean like Chinese medicine. Other than that it’s a pretty decent place. I like their spicy chicken and I am too afraid to venture into their menu. Try it you might have a better experience than I did.

This Sichuan restaurant is just okay. I come here a lot with my mom because she is a huge fan of Sichuan and Hunan food so whenever we go out to eat, it is always spicy food. I seriously think my dog can even handle spicy food now. We judge the spiciness based on how many times he licks his nose(I’m probably the worst dog-owner ever, don’t copy me). Back to the restaurant — this place has lunch specials 7 days a week. It is a really good deal for the food you get and it is very authentic. I am giving it 3 stars because there is nothing THAT special about this place but it is definitely one of the better Sichuan places in Rowland Heights. The better ones are in the SGV and 15 – 20 miles away. Another plus is that there is never a wait. I usually get the steamed fish, spicy beef and pork kidney. Can’t really remember anything else on the menu, but that’s what I mean by it is not THAT memorable. I still come here occasionally because it is cheap and decent food.

I hesitated writing this review because heck, what do I know about authentic Sichuan(schezuan? szechuan?) food. but well, from an inexperience palate, here goes: –I had some sort of mung bean noodle dish in red chili oil. I was surprised bc it was cold, and not as flavorful or spicy? now that i think back, maybe i should have swished the noodles around the oily sauce more? but the oily-ness scared me… –Kung Pao Chicken. Nothing too special… just the typical kung pao chicken I’ve tasted before(again…not that spicy??) –A cold shredded potato dish with a slightly tart/vinegary sauce –Green beans. Maybe it was our choice of food? I just didn’t get wowed by it. And much to my disappointment, nothing was super spicy, as I’d heard it’d be. Annd I’ve never been to a restaurant that takes only cash?

I’ve been to Shufeng a couple of times but I’m still not convinced that it can become our go-to Sichuan restaurant in the Rowland/Hacienda area. Actually, I’m not sure any of the places in that area are good enough to compare to Chung King in San Gabriel. Let’s just say that the Mapo Tofu at Shufeng was good but the Mapo Tofu at Chung King was life changing. Shufeng’s version had too much oily sauce and green onions(?) but it was lacking in the right amount of «Ma»(numbing sensation). Anyway, I’m not particularly stoked to go back but I’m sure we’ll end up there again at some point.
