Round Rock Refuse

The garbage men took our Little Free Library and trashed it, despite it being out over a week prior when they picked up our trash can in the SAME spot and didn’t touch our library. When I spoke to the garbage man, he said they take anything remotely near the can because they don’t want to be called back out for missed items. So yeah, no erring on the side of caution for them… even with our library being at least 2 feet from the curb. We’ve emailed and spoken with managers who keep telling us that we won’t be compensated, despite the high value and having it professionally painted by an artist. We asked to speak to an even higher supervisor, but never hear back. We have hired legal counsel just to get reimbursed. ZERO customer service or respect for people’s property!

there really isn’t anything to dispute about garbage service. they either pick it up, or they don’t. garbage wise, i guess they do the job. my beef is that i elected to PAY to recycle. (i miss austin). anyhow, because only two or three people in my community elect to do the ecologically correct thing RRR has neglected to pick up my recycle. i have called four times and have been missed four times. and before you think i am putting out mountains of styrofoam, or soiled pizza boxes, or loose plastic bags to have you think i am not correctly complying… i am only putting out aluminum and plastic bottles. i been doing this a long time. i know what is acceptable and what is refused. (how funny… maybe they should be called round rock REFUSED instead). the woman i have spoke with every time on the phone acts as a barrier to prevent me from talking to anyone with stripes about this situation (insert Lily Tomlin). i am about ready to cancel my non service and just start taking my garbage/​recycle to work and dispose of my waste in one of our dumpsters. and even as i write this, i am angry this is time wasted on a situation that will never be resolved. i never complain about how much i pay for service… its just when i don’t recieve the service that i get upset.

Came home after work to find the handle missing from my trash can (residential) on the scheduled trash day. Have had several phone conversations with folks at RR Refuse, mostly with Joe, to get this resolved. He has repeatedly told me the container will be replaced but people supposedly have come twice to do so (on unannounced days when my damaged container was not left out) and now they have not kept a promise for a second scheduled time (where I left the container outside). Frustrating!
**** Addendum **** Just spoke with David, a manager, who explained there was a misunderstanding (Joe is apparently new) as to what needs to be replaced. David said he’ll make sure it gets taken care of today. 2÷12÷15

No matter how many bags we put out — within reason — they pick it up. I have not had any problems with them, or their service. Never regretted to use them although I think there are two companies we can choose from.

This place is stuck in the 80s. They just drop off a very large trashcan when you move in. They won’t take the trashcan back for any reason other than canceling service. Well, they will take it back, but you have to buy a reasonably sized trashcan from Lowes and return the one you got in much smaller pieces.
