This place is horrible. Slow and rude service, and they’ll get your order wrong too. The food is not all that great either.

My husband and I dropped in for dinner last weekend. All was great. Ordered lunch today for myself and a few coworkers and they will never trust me to bring in lunch again. Dry starchy rice. Chewy tough General Tso chicken. Burnt egg rolls. Nothing was redeemable. I want to love this place. It’s close to home and work. But I can’t get around the crap-shoot consistency of the food. With a 50 – 50 chance of getting an edible meal, I will drive the extra 2 miles to a spot that has never let me down. I wish I had better luck here but after 2+years of thinking they’ll find a way to bring a quality plate to my table –even most of the time! — I am done.

Zero stars. Called in order. Told it would be ready in 20 minutes. After 45 they told me they had made the wrong things and it would be done shortly. After an hour I got my order. First of all, paid upon arrival. Tipped $ 15 on my $ 115 order, total $ 130, since it was to go. Was supposed to be a surprise for kids. Love sushi, but this was inedible. We all tried a bite of each roll, rice was terrible. Ordered fried rice which was same gross rice and like a bowl of gummy mush. Ended up throwing all of it away. Soooooo disappointed, kids are all still hungry, food in trash, and I’m out $ 130 and an hour of my time. Usually we fight over who gets how much, but not this time. Was so gross!!! Not one thing was good. Miso soup was bad, crab rangoons, bad, shrimp spring rolls, disgusting. 4 sushi rolls all tasted same, bland, gross rice, don’t peel cucumbers in rolls so taste the bitter rind on every bite. We won’t be going back!

Crab Rangoon was awful. Tough. Crab salad had imitation crab thrown on top of some iceberg lettuce. Dressing was flavorful. It just was mediocre and almost $ 10 for it.

I’ll never know if this place is good because I waited at my table for 10 minutes with no service and left.

Good asian food that we go back again and again, They will make changes to entrees to make them low carb for me. We have had several dishes and liked them all. I personally like their soups and Vietnamese specialties. Reasonable prices. Service is fine. Never had to wait long for a table. Tables, restrooms clean

I should put King Noodle on my faves list. I don’t come here often enough, and every time I eat here, I recall how good it is. Excellent service, great food at the peak of freshness, and there is almost always soccer on the wide screen TVs. The menu is varied: sushi, Chinese, Vietnamese and a few Thai dishes. If that weren’t enough, there are plenty of vegetarian options, they do a great job with tofu and the prices are very, very reasonable. What’s not to love?

Delicious phở with tender beef and fresh spices/veggies. Always too much for me to finish and a great healthy deal at 9 bucks. This is the family’s second location and just as good as the original. Good service also.

We decided to give King Noodle a try this evening and it was a mistake! The food was flavorful, but… We walked in at 8:00 p.m. to make a simple to go order. There were only three tables with customers there. They told us fifteen to twenty minutes and based on how empty the restaurant was, we believed them. We sat… and sat… and sat… a little over thirty minutes later, and as I was about to cancel my order and find somewhere else to feed my kids, the order finally came out. This was after I was tired and hungry and had just witnessed someone who appeared to work in the kitchen come out of the restroom and I could still hear the toilet flushing. Leads me to unfortunately believe they chose to not wash their hands before returning to the kitchen. I can only hope he was not cooking and was the manager. Got home to our three hungry teenage boys who had been texting us asking where their food was, only to have an incorrect order. I was too tired and too disappointed to consider making the drive back to wait another thirty minutes for the correct food. I read the other review where she did call and was accused of it being her fault, so I just did not bother. They did get four of the five meals correct, but mine was the one that was wrong and I am the one who paid, so bad move! If they read this and want to contact me and make things right, okay. But, otherwise, I will just choose not to eat there again because of this bad first impression. Now, an hour and fifteen minutes after I ordered, I will go back to my meal and finish it. Sadly, we would have been better of going to Panda Express(ugh!) and going through the drive through!

We are loyal phở eaters and have been to almost every place in Austin… not really, but it seems like it! We love it here. The service is wonderful and the phở is always delicious and generous. We love coming here and do so frequently!:)

I love king noodle but tonight is the night I say no more and just wait till the new place off university opens up. I was fine with lean mean but there is a total difference between lean and raw … I call to tell the guy know my order was mess up and he blame me and said it was my fault and did not apologize at all that I was upset with my order): well no more …

This was our first time here and the food was outstanding! I really liked the teriyaki beef box and the price is unbeatable! My wife got the vermicelli with chicken. Also very good. The only negative was slow service. Very few customers and it still took prolly 15 – 20 min to get our food. Otherwise, great experience. We will be back.

Came in excited to have finally found a place near Austin with a bento box, but realized I wasn’t nearly hungry enough for all that food! Next time. Got the chicken banh mi instead. The restaurant was nicer inside than I expected — I was expecting fast casual grab and go, but it’s a sit down place with wine, soft piano music in the background, etc. They do a lot of take out business. Back to the banh mi – layered for beauty and to help bring out the uniqueness of each ingredient. Crunchy bread, tangy chicken, cooling mayo and cucumber, the fire of jalapeño. It’s got it all! The perfect size for my appetite today, $ 5.50.

The food is ok, customer service is fair and restaurant is clean. Phonatic is MUCH better; but, a bit further drive from Round Rock! I would rate this place a three star.

I am super bummed. The food online looked amazing, the location is excellent for us– but the service was lacking. Clearly overwhelmed with the 8 or so occupied tables at lunch, we were directed to seat ourselves. We chose a booth and menu’s were dropped off. We ordered shortly after. 2 lunch specials and one bento box. The lunch specials came out and were devoured… as I waited and waited for my bento box. It finally came after everyone else was done eating. And it was ok. I will probably give them a second chance for dinner and see if they have proper staffing. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and even had a large fish tank with giant koi! I know The Little One and The Big One will enjoy watching the fish!

After traveling all over Texas I decide to avoid BBQ and check out the Phở. Service was very slow and it was not even crowded. Phở bowl was a big size and was very good. Sushi was fresh. I will go back again. Next time I will try something else.

Kudos for having a business in Round Rock that isn’t a chain! My Honda battery had a recall so I had the choice of taking it to the dealership in way South Austin or way north Round Rock. I schedule the appointment two weeks in advance, not knowing that a polar vortex was going to make being outside unbearable. When I got to the dealership, they said it would be a two hour wait sitting in the waiting room watching disgruntled suburbanites stare regretfully at their kids. I decided to bare the cold and walk across the street to the only non-chain within walking distance. I had some jasmine tea and brisket phở. I’m way too white to tell the difference between good and bad phở, so I’m just gonna say it was good. I chilled around here for the two hours drinking tea and watching Family Feud on one of their many TVs, which was much better than the CNN going on at the service station. I have to knock off a star because my fortune cookie didn’t have a fortune in it.

I just had lunch at King Noodle and noticed the place had been rearranged and looks more spacious, I’m not sure if they changed management but the setting looks much better than before. Another thing that changed was the taste of the food, I ordered the White Meat Phở for lunch and it was delicious, totally hit the spot! I’ve had it before and the broth was sometimes bland and the chicken was chewy and hard to eat but, this time it was perfect; everything was spot on, I even finished my chicken! I haven’t tried any of the other dishes yet but I’m planning to go back. The only thing I would change, it’s the attitude of some of the wait staff. The girl that served me today was not at friendly, she didn’t do a bad job but, she had this face of «OK, hurry to eat your lunch and get the hell out of here»; smiling once in a while and being friendly doesn’t hurt anybody! She was pretty scary and I wouldn’t like to be served by her, I believe in bad vibes/karma and I rather enjoy my lunch with a smile and more peacefully to have a good digestion… lol! ;P Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had friendly staff serving here before but this chick was just out of it today and that scares clients sometimes. I’ll recommend this place to anyone, I always go to a late lunch so it’s not too crowded; just stay away from«angry waiters»!

I have no idea why it has taken me so long to write a review of this place. This is a mom and pop store that brings together Vietnamese, Chinese, and, Japanese cuisines under one roof in a healthier than normal twist without the MSG. The owners are super friendly, and, I have been fortunate to chat up their daughter. First words out of her mouth were«We don’t Americanize. We don’t Tex-Mex here». God Bless you ma’am. I gave her a high five. The family is from central Vietnam, and, as their daughter puts it «They bring the right balance to the salty(North) and sweet(South)». They have a really good menu that will be growing with more items come February 2015. They use only fresh ingredients without the fat craze. The food is freaking delicious. Pretty much I’ve only danced on the Phở’s and Banh Mi’s. I can vouch for both. These guys are neck and neck with my favorite place, Tam Deli. As for the Phở I have done both the beef and veggie broth. Both are phenomenal. The beef really stands out, and, they make it the traditional way of boiling the bones. It is light and fragrant. Almost makes you not want to add any hot sauce or hoison, but, damnit I gotta have my kick! The eye round steak is crazy tender and the meatballs are superb. Together in one bowl of beef broth, they make the perfect bowl of PHO! PHO’K YEAH! Pretty much 90% of the menu is under $ 10. This includes the $ 7.95 lunch specials. If you like Asian food, to include sushi/shashimi, then this is a place for you. They also have chef’s specials on the dishes and the sushi. Also Japanese Bento Boxes. They have so much to choose from! Fresh. Quality. Healthy. Food. Beer. Wine. Service can be hit or miss. So far the best Phở and Banh Mi in Da’ Rizzle!

A couple of weeks ago we came here big family dinner. It was my parents, hubby, uncle and cousin and I were all dining together. We came here on the recommendation of my uncle. It was a cold night so it was perfect for phở. We came in and we were seated promptly with our menus. And then we waited… our server finally came over and I quickly figured out that this kid was a rookie. He was so awkward and kinda slow. We had waters all around, a hot water for my mom and my cousin got a smoothie. The drinks took awhile to come out. I thought it was really odd that my mom’s hot water was in the same plastic cup as our but hot. When the server put it down he said«Be careful it’s hot.» Weird… so how do you propose my mom drink this if the cup is hot? Have you guys heard of mugs and a hot pot? Our orders were all straight forward but he made it sound all complicated. We ordered a round of appetizers some spring rolls and fried pot stickers. Those were all tasty and everyone enjoyed them. My husband is a huge fan of pot stickers and he really liked these. They were fried and crispy to perfection. For dinner we ordered a variety of soups, phở with varying meats, egg noodle soup and my husband a rice plate with pork chops. The phở was good but it was spectacular. My dad and I both agreed that it was just ok. The broth was decent but it wasn’t super flavorful like other phở restaurants we’ve been too. There are plenty of other places to go for phở and those places will be much better than this. I can say this because I’m Asian and I hope no one takes offense to this… I’ve been to other places where I barely understand the Vietnamese person I’m placing my order with but they get the job done and so promptly too. We barely understand each other but the food is so good who cares. I would much rather go to those places then come back to King Noodle.
