Cost Cutters

TERRIBLE skills and AWFUL customer service. Took my 2 year old to get his hair buzzed with a 1 on the sides and 2 on the top. Our «stylist» was rude the whole time and only did a 2 all over because she couldn’t be bothered to deal with my child. When asked if she could at least frame his face, she huffed and then made it crooked!!! We paid, tipped and are now having to take our son somewhere else to fix her atrocious attempt at a hair cut. I am fuming!

Had went there several times without an issues but last time the lady in last last chair on the right messed up the front of my hair so bad had to just buzz it. Mentioned it to her and she did nothing but went to the back room to wait until I left I assume. Another employee offered to fix it and did the best she could, but you cant make a chunk of bangs on one side grow back. My family and I will go elsewhere for now on.

So I had a coupon to this place. I’ve never been here before but I wanted to check it out. I walked in and got my spot in the wait and sat down. As I was waiting I was listening the conversations the staff was having with the customer and it at first seemed rude but then I realized it was quite the opposite. They were so familiar with the customers that it was just a comfortable conversation. They were super kind the elderly people in there and they were also super kind to this disabled young child. I got a fantastic haircut and it was free. I definitely will come back to this place. Even if it is super out of the way.

Wow, I went to Asha at Cost Cutters on Gattis and she is fabulous! This is the 2^nd time I go to her and I am so impressed. My hair is very fine and thin but when she works her magic, it looks awesome. When hair is cut properly it falls right into place. Oh my gosh, I can wash and go and not even need any product. I like that she really listens to what I want and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Walking around this little Round Rock plaza, my boyfriend and I noticed the $ 11 deal in the window for men on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He had already been wanting a haircut so we were sold. We walked in and put our name on the list; we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. That was fine with us, as we didn’t have anywhere to be, and ended up walking around the rest of the plaza. When we came back, I had just enough time to check out some haircut books when my name was called.
The woman who cut my hair knew what kind of style I wanted from what I told her and the picture I showed her, from the layers to the bangs. She wasn’t very talkative, but that was fine because that can be awkward. I was transitioning from side-​swiped bangs to straight across bangs, so I asked her how much hair I should cut for my bangs. She recommended that I start off with less and I could add more later if I wanted. Fair enough. I was pretty pleased with my haircut, especially for $ 14.95.
My boyfriend finished after me, and his hairdresser did a good job replicating the style he wanted. She suggested that he purchase the $ 30 haircut deal, which was a package of 3 haircuts for $ 10 each, and using one right away. I had already paid for my haircut, so I wish I had known about it sooner so that I could have taken advantage of the deal as well. We still ended up buying it and using one deal for his haircut, so now we have two haircuts left that we can use later on. I liked that she suggested we buy the deal because I’m all about deals and saving money. I’ll be back!

I’ve been going here for over a year and love it. Krystal is amazing and I always feel very satisfied with my haircut. I’m very picky so it’s awesome how understanding she has been. Anyone who goes here is in good hands.

I can only help but wonder if the reviewer that gave this place a poor review meant to do so for a different location. I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s actually one of the few places I don’t go away looking like a victim of Edward Scissorhands during an epileptic fit. Denise has provided the most consistent, quality coiffure of any place I’ve been. The ability to work a good ‘do from my lopsided noggin is just short of miraculous.

I went in for a traditional men’s haircut and came out with bald spots on the side back and also near my sideburns.
I will never go back to that location again or recommend anyone either.
I also was not offered a mirror to look around my hair… I did not notice until getting home and it was too late.

Good prices! I got exactly what I was looking for. Also the service was great. All I saw was smiles the second I walked in. I will definitely come back here for my next haircut.

Some people might think that only super expensive haircuts are good haircuts, but honestly, I’ve never had better haircuts than the ones I’ve had here. The work they do is great & the reasonable prices are a bonus! I also appreciate the convenience of not needing an appointment.
Some places are hit & miss depending on the person that is helping you that day, but the experiences I’ve had here have always been positive. The first time I went, my hair was very long & they told me about how I could donate it to Locks of Love. I agreed & then they told me that my haircut would be free! I don’t know if this is still something they do but it was pretty cool.
Most recently, Lindsey cut my hair & she was awesome. She took extra care to make sure the length worked for me & even gave me some styling tips. I’m always kind of nervous & neurotic when getting hair cuts because there was a time a couple of years ago when a stylist cut off an extra 8 or so inches against my wishes! I’m also not very talkative early in the morning. Lindsey was respectful of what *I* wanted done to my hair & she was very friendly but not overly chatty (if that makes sense).
I don’t k now how well they do with coloring as I haven’t had that done here yet. I do plan to have it done in the future & will update my review at that time.
Helpful Hint: Their credit card machine does not do the thing where you can write in a tip. So either bring cash, or do the math & tell them how much you want to tip.
