Excellent beef sandwiches slow cooked overnight. So much better than the others around. I suggest Lily’s to anyone and everyone looking for a good beef sandwich.

My friend suggested this place to me, he was raving about their italian beefs here. However, I ordered the polish and it was awesome! The owner here is really cool dude and really friendly. I asked them how he prepared it and he just said «However you want it» I opted for Chicago style rather than Maxwell and it was perfect. Grilled and served on french bread. Got a side of mozzarella sticks and they were really good too. My bill was less than $ 8 for a freshly cooked meal.

Have tried the other food here as well and it never disappoints. Yummy reliable food and good prices! What beats that?!

Food is always prepared with love. Most of the time by Sam himself. This is one of those rare places where the owner still works his ass off. You always feel a personal connection. He always remembers my order even after leaving town for 5 years.

I really like Lily’s. It’s just a small little hot dog stand but I really like his food and his prices are really reasonable. His fried mushrooms are fantastic and he has the best pizza puff in town. I don’t know hat makes it different – if he like has a different supplier than the other guys around here but they puff up super fat. It’s like super Puff. Incredi-​Puff. Puff the Magic Deepfry. Puff-​magic Puff-​tacular Pizza Puff!
OK, I’m gonna stop this now before it gets even more embarrassing.
Dude they’re delicious, and I love little places like this. They’re a Chicago tradition.

OMG! I used to stop here everyday after jr high, it was only 2 blocks away from home. They used to be your standard hot dog joint but have revamped since then. Best hot dogs in town! (when i used to eat meat that is) Loved their fries… yum! I miss Lily’s!
