What a treasure! First time in there today and it absolutely lived up to all the wonderful comments I’ve been hearing about it. VERY hard to choose from the tremendous variety of delectables-blueberry muffin, cheddar and bacon scone and slice of apple pie received raves reviews from my group. Can’t wait to go back!

My mom brought me to Leah’s this morning to pick up a cinnamon bun(which was amazingly good) and some cupcakes. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was the best! The cake itself was moist and thick, and the frosting was excellent, but what really set it apart was the salty peanut butter center. It kept the cupcake from being too sweet, and really pulled the whole thing together nicely. The people behind the counter were attentive and we did not wait long. Leah’s is what a small town bakery should be: cozy, inviting and full of personality. I will definitely recommend it in the future!

I learned about Leah’s Cakery from a Customer at the airport. I was so impressed by my encounter with this very happy person I decided to check out the Cakery. Leah’s is not on my usual route, so I drove out of the way to see it. On my first pass the business was closed, but it gave me a chance to peek in the window. The façade of this place is charming. It is an old victorian house with all the ambiance that comes with it. I made note of the business hours and decided to return. I arrived at Leah’s in the early afternoon. There was one couple sitting at one of the four tables inside drinking coffee. Leah was standing behind the counter and greeted me warmly. I introduced myself and explained how I learned of her business and told her I wanted to give it a try. I was in the process of planning an event at work that would include breakfast pastries for all our Employees and our Flight Crews on July 4. Leah explained where she got the ingredients she uses in her baked goods and how she likes to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. I placed a fairly large order for 30 breakfast cookies, a hummingbird cake, and assorted scones. I then purchased a cinnamon bun for me to eat on the go. Oh my. The cinnamon roll was HUGE and so good. I picked up my order on 3 July. I was looking for some door prizes to give the Employees working on the holiday and noticed Leah had some pies sitting on the counter. I bought two, an apple and a peach, and a couple of gift certificates. Everything was wonderful. The breakfast cookies were a huge hit with the Flight Crews. The scones and cake was devoured by my Employees. One Employee, when she learned the locations of the bakery, remarked it would be a great place to stop before heading to the track. I thought that was a great idea! There was nothing left of the food I provided, and that is unusual. Everyone asked where Leah’s is located since they wanted to check it out. We will definitely be doing a lot of business with Leah’s in the future.

This is such a beautiful little shop that it almost hurts. It’s a picturesque little building located right in the middle of Round Lake. It reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen in a big way; it’s small inside, but very homey and welcoming. There was a short but steady line in the morning. You can tell that every person behind the counter genuinely enjoys what they do, and it shows in the food. The cinnamon buns are to die for, and they have really great iced coffee. I bought a large bag of homemade croutons for only $ 2, and they were fantastic. Lots of unusual options inside the bakery case, and I can say without hesitation that there is something for everyone. Thank god I don’t live within walking distance, because I would 100% be here every single day and gain like 20 pounds in two months.

Nearly perfect. As you first land on the charming wooden porch, the aroma of baked sugar and butter hits you. Taking a step inside the charming bakery the time vortex returns you to the age of eight inside your grandma’s kitchen(or the grandma you wish you had). You’re greeted by a fun, warm staff while your eyes peruse the variety of freshly baked treats. Everything I’ve tried is legit, but the cinnamon rolls are outrageous. The sweet glaze and the creamy dough are truly pleasing, but the sophistication of the roll is appreciated by a bite of its crispy underside. It’s where you taste a heavenly brioche-like buttery flavor and marvel at the craftsmanship of this nearly perfect crunch of bakery magic. The charming Victorian building is a three minute drive to the east, off Exit 11. Do yourself a favor and savor this gem.

Went in to buy a birthday cake for my husbands birthday. The owner was sitting with another«customer» discussing her other business as a college instructor. Waited for a few minutes & bought a few cupcakes while I waited some more. Ended up walking out with leaving my number in hopes I would get a call back that day. Cupcakes were so dense & would go as far as saying they were day or so old! Thank god I didn’t buy the cake! Got the cake at Hannaford & it was a hit! Moist & no wait time on the owner!!!

This is a great bakery. I’ve only been there once, but will be back again. We got a traditional cinnamon roll, and a special seasonal apple cinnamon roll. Both were amazing. There were a variety of other baked goods that caught my eye, but to keep my cholesterol where it’s at we only tried those two on this visit. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back here again! While there is not much else around this place, it’s definitely worth the trip over here. It’s right off the highway anyways, so it’s not like it’s completely out of the way. Next time you are on your way down to Albany or up to Saratoga, give this place a try.

Wow! I had recently took a cooking class from Chef Leah and heard about the wonderful goodies here so dragged my hubbie on route to shopping today. Delicious doesn’t even do the cinnamon buns justice. Warm, sweet, light and huge!!! Good hot standard coffee to enjoy with it, nothing special but perfect to accompany the delicious baked goods. And frankly anything more than good standard coffee wouldn’t work here. The shop itself is warm, homey and comforting, the staff friendly and accommodating. We got another bun to go along with a sampling of the cookies. Everything looks wonderful and I can’t wait to return, luck for me it’s close by. Haven’t tasted all the cookies yet but the snicker doodle was cinnnamony and delicious.

What a treat this place is! A friend and I stopped by after playing tennis and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the baked items. We both had the lemon meringue pie which was out of this world. We’re talking 100% homemade and deeeeliciois! Coffee was pretty good too. I brought home a slice of peach pie, cinnamon bun bread pudding and the tomato corn quiche. The quiche was perfect — savory and creamy not dry. The pastry on the peach pie was excellent. The bread pudding was to die for — it was so yummy! Will definitely be going back for more :)

Leah’s Cakery is the newest kid on the block in Round Lake. Leah has opened an old fashioned bakery right next to the bike trail. It’s painted in cool country colors and there are a few spots to sit at antique kitchen tables. The walls are decorated with vintage madeline pans and wooden kitchen tools. The cinnamon buns are the real deal. Just sweet yeast bread, lots of cinnamon and a buttercream frosting. Definitely shareable. I had a blueberry scone and there were real, not frozen, not dyed blue, straight off a bush blueberries in them. Topped with coarse turbinado sugar it was a treat. The only thing that could possibly have been better is if she offered a little clotted cream to go with them. If you are in the market for a wedding cake, this is your spot. Attention to detail in decoration and the cake actually tastes good! I went to a wedding last fall and this is where the bride and groom bought their cake. Reasonably priced and memorable. There is regular and decaf coffee available. It is not fancy it puts on no airs of being anything other than straight up brewed drip coffee. It’s strong. It’s hot. It goes well with a cinnamon bun or a slice of apple cake. I’m hoping an espresso machine is on the way which would really put this place on the map. Speaking of apple cake, it tastes like it came from a little old lady from Buffalo’s kitchen. It reminds me of my childhood when people made things from real ingredients in their own kitchen. Leah’s is the real deal. Clearly, I’m excited about this place and I’ve stopped three times this week. Not a sustainable habit, but it is so very refreshing to find a local shop using the best ingredients available in the area. Open 7 a. m to 4 p.m.
