Zenergize Wellness Spa

I gave Zenergize Wellness Spa a try today using a great GroupOn offer. I literally have had therapeutic massage around the world and I can say honestly this massage therapist today, Lisa, gave a massage that was world-​class! The entire experience was outstanding.
Here’s what I liked:
The receptionist (sorry I didn’t catch her name) was very friendly and accommodating. The spa although not new was well appointed and I made the comment to her that it smelled really nice and fresh.
Although my treatment started a bit late due to the customer in front of me being late arriving, I was assured that I would get my full treatment time. Sure enough I received at least 90 minutes of therapy.
Massage table was quite comfortable and unlike some places was long enough for my tall frame. The head cushion was comfortable as well. Nice music was playing, not too ethereal and not too sappy.
My therapist, Lisa, was able to do more for me through massage than several visits recently to the chiropractor to fix a lower back issue I’ve been having. She has great technique, plenty of strength if you want a deep massage, it really seems to get in touch with pain or stress issues in your body. Again, I get lots of massage And This Massage Was Awesome! She also seems to be generally very nice person.
I also happen to be approached by the owner in the lobby and he was very friendly, engaging, seemed very interested in customer service.
I would highly recommend this bar to others.

Definitely my favorite spa! Such a quiet, relaxing atmosphere with a very personal feel unlike a chain/​franchise location. Jeanetta is one of the best aestheticians I’ve met! She helped me so much with not only my facial but also giving me skincare tips during a particularly difficult breakout.

I’ve been debating writing this review, because I hate to leave bad reviews… but I really had a bad experience. I bought a groupon here to try it. Upon arriving, the décor and sign is REALLY run down.
First off, I got there 15 min early. The owner seemed taken aback and kept saying the masseuse wasn’t ready because I was SOOO early. (Seriously. No less than 4x) I kept saying it was fine, I knew I was early. He also kept pressing me to buy packages and upgrades while I waited.
When the massage started, the masseuse had a squeaky pump lotion bottle in her belt and would pump out the lotion loudly right by my head. Nothing more soothing than «SQUUEEEEQOO! SQUUEEEEQOO!» every 5 min in your ear.
But the massage… oh my god. HORRIBLE. She slapped her hands quickly in no apparent skill just rubbing me raw. Never once sought out a knot or slowly felt for tension, just RUB RUB RUB in super speed over and over till I was counting the minutes till it was over. 85% of it was just on my back, too. Next to no attention on extremities.
When I got out of the room she wasn’t even waiting outside so I wasn’t sure where to go. I paid, tipped, and booked outta there. Never again! 2 stars is being generous.

I try to see Lakin at least once per month. She is wonderful. The spa is hidden in a strip shopping center, but once you enter you are transported to ZEN. Wonderful gem in Roswell. I’ve had massages and a facial there. Highly recommend. And, when you check out, you are always offered a special deal for pre-​booking your next appointment. No coupons required!

I enjoy my massages here. Comfortable table (very cush-​y), dim lighting, clean/​non-​obtrusive fragrance in the air and linens. Jeanetta has done my last three massages, and I’ll request her next time. Her last massage was so good that I voided my pre-​written check and doubled her tip!

The owner would not honor our gift certificate.
It was given as a gift for $ 140 worth of services, although the purchaser paid $ 100 during a promotion.
When we scheduled our massage, the owner only allowed for $ 100 worth of services even though the gift certificate was $ 140 and did not expire for another 2 ½ years. He kept the $ 40 remainder on our gift card.
If the gift card stated clearly it was for $ 140, whether the purchaser bought it at a discount or not, he legally can’t change it on the day of service, but who’s going to pay an attorney for $ 40?
Buyer beware.

Great massages by Navalee (sp?) especially if you need a deep massage. She’s very knowledgeable as well. Super friendly and comfortable atmosphere. I bought a groupon just to try and ended up buying more massages! Highly recommend.

My husband and I come here every month. The prices are good and we love our massage therapists! (Angie and Lakin) Never had a bad experience and everyone is very friendly!

I used a gift certificate I got from a friend/​bride as a gift. The only issue I had, but I didn’t say anything, was that the massage table face/​head rest had this metal bar exposed that was pressing on my chin/​mouth throughout the entire «face down» massage portion. I kept trying to adjust my head hoping the massage therapist would ask me if I was alright, so I could tell her about this bar pressing on my face, but she didn’t. The massage overall was great. I don’t fault the massage therapist but rather the location for not making sure all the massage tables are comfortable enough that even they could endure an hour massage without this bar in the face. Other than that, it was wonderful and I would consider coming back but only if the massage tables are evaluated and made more comfortable.

Love Zenergize! They have fantastic massage therapists! I love Jeanetta and Lisa, but they are all good! I have been going to them for years, and I am always pleased! They have wonderful customer service, and are very easy to work with!

Owner/​manager charged me $ 15 because my prepaid massage expired — and I wasn’t informed until after my massage. Said he was doing me a favor by not charging me the full price. (And used the hand slapping motion while he said it.) There are plenty of other options in Atlanta that treat their customers better. Zen-​not. #business101

I have been going to Zenergize for several years. I have never had a bad massage. The clinicians are very talented and the setting relaxing. And the front desk staff (including Nat and Katie) are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Zenergize!!!

I’ve been here a couple of times and never had a bad experience. Wish I lived closer!

The massage was incredible. I know a lot of the reviews talk about the manager being super mean, but they were pretty sweet to me. I was running late stuck in traffic and they called but didn’t mind at all. I will go back, and if at some point I experience bad service, I’ll change my review. For now, this is the best spa in the area for full body massages.

Really great and relaxing massage, and the prices aren’t bad either.
The massage tables were VERY comfortable! Usually I have an issue with my face losing circulation but I had no problems practically falling asleep. Also, the sheets smelled like heaven, not sure what detergent they use but it’s great!
The guy who did my massage (cant remember his name) was really gentle and I was immediately comfortable.
They also sell make-​up and do a variety of other things there. Once I get some more money to pamper myself I will be back!

The atmosphere is ok. It seems run down, but my massage therapist was good.

I got the most wonderful relaxing massage from Janetta and will be coming back. The spa is nice, the staff is friendly.

I’ve gone to this place 2 – 3 times over the last few years and have been very pleased with the quality massage each time. Can’t recall her name but my massage was excellent.

I was an extremely happy customer and loved their service up until a year ago because there a scheduling mix up since I was out of town. The reviews about scheduling and the person on the other end being rude and unprofessional seems about the experience I had. I wish I could have recorded the conversation because i felt
like I was being rebuked by whoever I spoke with and the horrid conversation left me speechless and shaking. I had prepaid for a service that I never got to redeem nor do I ever intend to. I do not discourage you from going to this spa but beware if you ever need to reschedule!

In June 2012, I purchased the Unilocal deal — pay $ 115 for $ 150 in services. Went in on my birthday for a massage and facial. The actual services were great; however, there are two reasons that I would never return to Zenergize:
1. The owner? Manager? was very PUSHY and made me feel as if I were obligated to tip a certain amount AND that I should rebook and prepay (prior to my departure) for a future visit.
2. The massage therapist did not allow me even 30 seconds to relax on the table after the massage was completed before instructing me to get up, get dressed, and go to the room next door for my facial. Having had hundreds of massages in my lifetime, this was the first time that I was not provided the opportunity to fully relax.
All in all, the services were good, BUT any feelings of «zen» will quickly dissipate when you are rushed and/​or hounded to rebook or tip an amount that the owner/​manager feels adequate. By the way, I tipped both ladies 15% each. I will not return. There are far too many spas that offer more peaceful experiences.
