I had a fabulous experience at Mimosa! I had a massage and facial by Peggy. She was an absolute delight! I have had many massages over the years to deal with back pain and this was hands down the best massage I have EVER had! Also, for my facial, I came in with very problematic dry skin and left with«dewy» skin which i can say i have never had! The products she used are amazing as well. The whole staff greeted me warmly and professionally. In fact, I called letting them know I was running late and Peggy immediately told me to slow down and assured me we would have time for all of my services. I highly recommend Mimosa Salon and Spa and cannot wait for my next visit!

I had a very nice massage with Peggy today. I don’t get massages very often so today was a treat. I was greeted warmly when I arrived at the spa, had a cup of coffee and a muffin. The therapist was kind and asked me what kind of massage I enjoyed, even though I had filled out paperwork, and asked me to clarify a few things on the papers. I knew she was trying to give me the massage I needed. The room smelled nice, the lights were low, and the music was relaxing. It was very warm when you first go in, but once you get undressed its just right. I had the hot stone treatment, which left me feeling warm and relaxed to my bones! At one point I asked for a little less pressure from the kneading and she adjusted to make it just right. I nearly fell asleep on the table. Upon exiting the massage room, I was given a refreshing glass of water flavored with lemon and cucumber. This was a wonderful experience and I am so happy I went to Mimosa for my once-in-a-blue-moon treat! I felt like I floated out of the spa, which was exactly what I wanted to feel like. I would definitely go back again!

Wonderful salon experience! I had Kristin, who is terrific, for a partial highlight and a hair cut. I have been going to the same hair salon for about 15 years now so I was nervous about trying a new one. She nailed my color! Mimosa Salon made me feel welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The owner, Ghina, even stopped by to welcome me(I had spoken with her on the phone the day before). I loved the personal touch! There were 2 regulars in the salon when I visited(one of them comes in twice a week!) and you could tell they loved visiting with the stylists. Everyone working there was having fun — I love to see that! I also found out they offer spa services — facials and massages — so I will definitely be returning to check this out. Also on the 1st visit they give you a discount which I really appreciated! I thought the prices were competitive/reasonable. I setup my next appointment before I left! I highly recommend to check out this salon(even if you already have one you love)!!!

Love this place! Maria gave me a darling cut and the best color I’ve ever had. I liked the atmosphere so much that I went back the next day for waxing and a facial. The aesthetician, Ashley, was also very good, and I was very happy with both services. I live out of state but will be adding Mimosa to my list of things to do when I’m in ATL!

I met with the manager about using their salon for my hair and make up for my Wedding. The manager made me feel as if the salon was the perfect place for me to use and even offered to do a treatment on my hair courtesy of her. After being quoted $ 150 for hair and make up I booked the appointments. On the Thursday before my wedding I showed up for my appointment 10 minutes early. The receptionist told me the hairdresser would be right with me. 45 minutes later she finally came to get me. No one apologized for the long wait or updated me when the previous appointment was taking longer. I showed her the picture of the up –do I wanted and she ensured me she could do it. One hour later I stopped her because she seemed as if she was struggling with the style. I had her show me what she had done so far and I was extremely upset. My simple up– do of a few braids pulled into a bun looked like a birds nest. We agreed that she couldn’t pull off the style I really wanted. She showed me a photo of a large bun she had done for another client. I told her it was too much for me and I settled for a very small simple bun. I left the salon unsure of how my hair would look for my wedding day. On the day of the wedding the hairdresser started working on my hair. When she turned me around when finished I saw she had done the larger bun that I said I did not want. By this time it was too late to do anything about it. My bridesmaid and I both then had our make up done. The make up artist applied the same make up to both of us but because I was the bride I was charged $ 75.00 and she was charged $ 40.00. I can understand the price difference if she had done extra to me but nothing was different. I watched the entire time. So shame on me for being the bride. When I checked out I was charged almost $ 75.00 more than what was originally quoted by the manager and also never received the hair treatment that the manager promised. I never thought that on my wedding day that rather than be happy I would be leaving the salon extremely pissed. Not to mention that after the two minute drive to the venue the back of my hair had started to fall. Thanks to the venue and my bridesmaid they were able to fix it. I will never use this salon again or recommend them to anyone.

I have just returned from Mimosa Salon Spa where the chain of events preceding my massage appointment led me to walk out before the service had been performed. Let me explain why… I had made an appointment weeks ago and today was the only day they had available as I was told they only had a massage therapist on Saturdays. They had asked me to come in 5 minutes early to fill out paperwork and I was there 10 minutes early. My appointment time came and went without an update from the salon staff. 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time the massage therapist walks in the door with her personal belongs and lunch in hand and introduces herself to me and leads me upstairs to the massage studio making small talk along the way, but no apology for being late. She then mentions she missed the exit on the highway getting there(I’m thinking, does she not know how to get to work?) as her reason for being late — still no apology. We get upstairs to the massage studio and it is locked and she has no key to get in. I had to suggest she go back downstairs to see if anyone in salon below had a key. She eventually gets a key and lets us in. The studio has obviously been closed up since the previous Saturday — no lights were on and the heat was not on and she didn’t know where to turn on the music. This was not the warm relaxing environment I had expected for a massage. It was now well past my appointment time and I requested to speak to a manager. The massage therapist argued with me that she could still perform the service despite the fact that I was no longer interested. The manager was not there and they couldn’t find someone in charge. Another 5 minutes later I finally got to speak to someone who claims they were the assistant manager. She offers to reschedule my appointment, but at this point I was fed up and just wanted to get out of there. This is not the first time I have had an issue here — last time I was at the salon for a mani-pedi I had to wait 25 minutes past my scheduled appointment time for the manicurist. I explained to the assistant manager that both of my experiences with the salon had been poor. As I was walking out the door I got a half-hearted apology from the assistant manager coupled with the statement that they get busy on Saturdays. Unbelievable!

Lindsay Nearing is an amazing esthetician. It is safe to trust her with your face. I have very, very sensitive skin and she took great care of me. I was very happy with the service she provided. My facial exceeded expectations.
