The best thrift store I have seen since moving to this place called Atlanta Georgia. Great prices, organized well, great treasure hunting.

This place is alright. As far as thrift stores go, I don’t really expect classy and well-organized, but this stores organization system seriously threw me off. How to organize a thrift store? By size? Nope, not here. Most of the sizes ran big. Very, very big. Which is not usually an issue that I seem to have at other places. I searched and searched and searched, and about 75% of the clothes were Large+. And not even organized as such at all. By style? Not even close. Sometimes thrift stores will organize the newer style dresses all together, and the old fashioned together. Here, everything was simply thrown together. Pants were even mixed with jeans, while places like Goodwill and Value Village have segmented those off. Well, how about by color? Yes, that’s actually the only way they organize at all here. As far as find thing things if you look really hard… I was able to find some things. Firstly, I’ve been looking for business-type colored skirts, since I already have a few dark and black ones. I finally found a cute little red pencil old fashioned pencil skirt, as well as a burgundy one. Score for me! They were both about $ 4 each, which I think is more or less comparable to other thrift store prices. I also found a really nice seafoam green button up from New York & Co, which is a shirt I’ve also been looking for a while, and a cute button up sleeveless blouse with one of those 1960s collars that I really adore these days. They do have colors with 50% off here, like a lot of other thrift stores, and also a 50% off Senior Citizen Wednesdays, and even another incentive where if you buy a certain amount of clothes, you get a coupon stapled to your receipt that you can bring back Sunday to get up to 50% again. $ 10=10% off $ 20=20% off all the way down to $ 50=50% off And they had a further sale, whereas all shoes were 50% off so I might have gone a bit crazy there… I got two pairs of wedges, ankle elf boots, and cute oxford heels. So I saved about 15 $ from that.

Rude staff, dirty store, bad selection and overall disorganization.

This thrift store is pretty low on my list of thrift stores, but it’s not the worst I have ever been too. They have cheap cheap prices, however the store is dirty, and I don’t think I have ever really found anything worth buying here. It gets packed on Wednesday’s when they have Senior Citizen 50% off day. Really, don’t even attempt to go there unless you want the discount.

The staff needs some politeness training, and the coupons they used to send out no longer come in my mail. Can’t find a way to get them online, either. Otherwise, I like Park Avenue Thrift alright because it’s a very well organized and tidy store. Just too expensive without the coupons.
