Best espresso in Atlanta! Have searched high and low for a great espresso in Atlanta and finally found a truly delicious one at Land of 1000 Hills! I will be back every time I’m in town.

I had to take my coffee to go as all the tables were occupied, some people having meetings or working on their computer. :-(I loved the coffee but wish the place were a little bigger or that people wouldn’t over occupy a space so I could have enjoyed it there. But it was charming inside. I saw that the many times I circled looking for a seat ;-) Will return and hope for a seat!

My wife and I love this place and lucky for us it’s about a mile from our place in Roswell. The coffee is great and we love the small town coffee shop vibe that you don’t get with a Starbucks or big chain(and the drinks are far better). They also have a large outdoor patio that’s super nice when the weather is right. I give this place 5 stars not only for the friendly staff, hometown charm, and great coffee(which is enough honestly) but what I love about this place is that they use much of their profits to make sure that the coffee growers in Rwanda are payed higher than average wages. They also support other sustainable projects in Rwanda and parter with an orphanage and are just super generous with the money they make. We’ll keep going back!

Great selection of coffee. Their macchiato is relatively small; the barista says it’s because they make classical macchiatos. I had the latte instead and it was delicious. The shop is also a great place to do work; they have free wifi. The noise level was low to medium and super easy to tune out.

I want to like this place, but after my first experience here last Saturday. I highly doubt I will ever be back. I wanted to bring my in laws here post Christmas celebration. We all love caffeine and we love hanging out. So after hearing many good things about this place, I thought I’d give it a shot. We pulled up to this small parking lot right beside the store and I managed to squeeze my Mini cooper right between the sidewalk and the car beside me. I went around to the front of the store and went inside. I thought this place was so cute and quaint will all the rustic furniture and neutral colored interior. I placed an order for my entire family. We wanted the Rwanda slushie, French press for two, a doppio, and a raspberry mocha latte. I told the cashier lady it was my first time here and didn’t know if she was supposed to call our name or wait to the side. She said she was gonna bring it to us. I was skeptical because it was majorly packed inside and they don’t take names so I immediately had a bad feeling about all this. Logistically, I couldn’t comprehend how this business would function at max. levels, but I left my fate in her hands anyway. Me and my family waited at the table beside the pick up counter and was blown away by the AC literally. So, we migrated to this small room in the back right by the kitchen exit. We waited about 15 mins there. I decided to check on the drinks. The same cashier said the same thing again; that she’ll bring it to us. We wandered outside and sat at the furthest table in the grass area. We chatted for about 30 mins when I finally went back inside to check on the drinks yet again. This time, the same cashier handed me the Rwanda slushie. I asked for the rest of the drinks and with her same well rehearsed line, she said she’ll bring it out to us. So I gave the drink to the lil bro in law that ordered it and sadly, his straw was broken. I offered to get the straw, but he felt bad that I’ve gone up there to the counter so many times so he went and got one, but no one was there to help him so he just decided to drink it up without the straw. Finally 15 more mins. passed by and this time I grew aggravated. I went up to the kitchen exit and spoke to a different barista. I told her that I’ve been waiting for an hour for my drinks and was upset that it took this long. She asked for our receipt to jot down our drinks and said we’ll be queued up next. I’m just so glad I asked my fiancé to email the receipt to him because he’s always too lazy to punch in his email, but i made him do it just in case. I went outside and waiting and not even 5 mins later, we got all of our drinks and a refunded receipt. I’m thankful that we got a refunded receipt and all of our drink promptly, but I felt like LOATH did not do a good job at apologizing. This will be an hour that my family will never get back. We didn’t even want to be here for an hour. We live 35 mins from this place. That’s an hour back and forth and an hour there that we were forced to spend. I had to be the one to apologize to my family for taking up their time simply because I wanted to try this new coffee house.

This was an amazing little coffee shop in a part of Atlanta I am not usually in. I was over in Roswell for a work event with a co-worker and we decided to stop by here and get a cup and do some computer work. The convenience for us was the greatest part of this place. But it made me wish I had a spot like this in my neck of the woods. It was obviously an old house turned coffee shop. Which added a cool element of different rooms to be able to enjoy. But we decided to enjoy the outdoor patio which was a pretty decent size. No one else was out there at the time. But overall on a nice day, this coffee shop could accommodate quite a few people. And the latte I had was also on point with great foam art. Not sure if I will ever be back. But if I am in Roswell and need a coffee shop to chill in, this will certainly be my spot.

HANDSDOWN the BESTCOFFEE in the country. I’ve traveled extensively and am a coffee addict. I dream of their Ruli Mountain blend. It doesn’t need cream or sugar — the flavors are complex and rich and not bitter. Wow. The décor is interesting and homey and the service was incredible. Way to go!

I wouldn’t have found this Roswell hideaway, without Unilocal. And I’m glad my dollars went towards supporting a local business. ***** I. FOOD&DRINK For eats, they have various quiches, wraps, bagels, and even King of Pops! This is great, since a mobile worker(like me) can camp out for hours while enjoying some substance. Not just a sugar muffin or buttery croissant. Regarding their drinks, they have cappuccinos, mochas, etc… as well as some interesting cold drinks. I went with their… *Samoan Chill: Blended chocolate, coconut, caramel, and espresso. I have to say that it tasted mighty fine, and I don’t give a damn, if it’s «winter» here in Atlanta. It made my camp-out on their gorgeous patio quite enjoyable, and I would absolutely get it again. II. SERVICE Unlike many other coffee shops, they bring the drinks out to you. At a reasonable time, too! Also, the folks working the counter were very nice. No pretentious eye rolling here. III. ATMOSPHERE/DÉCOR I told my colleague that Land Of A Thousand Hills Coffee House reminded me of a coffee shop hangout that I would see on some teen-y bopper reality TV show. It’s very cutesy and clean.(Where’s the dude singing Dashboard Confessional, while strumming his guitar, and wildly shaking his bowl haircut?) Not hipster at all(which I like). They also have ample space for groups throughout the entire inside(it’s a very well-sized house) or out on their super nice patio. In other words, a group of six wouldn’t have trouble finding a table there, especially when it’s nice out. IV. PRICES Food and more complicated drinks fall around $ 4 – 5, so it’s quite pricey. Nothing too different from a conventional coffee chain, though. I think the prices are justifiable, especially when considering their stuff tastes better. Soooo yeah. V. OVERALL If I were in the area again, I wouldn’t hesitate to do some work here. Oh, and the wifi is great.(No password needed.)

What a great spot to hang out or get some work done in peace. The staff is super attentive. The coffee drinks are prepared with care and love because I can definitely taste it. Will be a regular customer. The outdoor area feels like your own backyard and there is plenty of tables/chairs to find. Parking is very tight on their own lot, however the church parking(across the street) lot allows you to leave the car during certain days/hours. Thanks for a great first experience. Will be back often!

I came here last year with some fellow Unilocal buddies before an Elite event because it was close to the event’s location and we were all a bit early. It was the perfect occasion to cross off another place on my bookmark list and I was excited to share it with AT and our friends. Parking was impossible in their immediate lot but we just went the church across the way and dropped off our cars with no issues. The building is a house, which adds to the comfy factor. Upon entering, you’ll see that the coffee shop has a homey and cozy café touch, with café-style tables and chairs and some cushioned chairs and a set of sofas in the back. On the right side, you’ll find the coffee bar and register, where you place your order. If you plan on hanging out, ask for your hot drink in a mug. It just improves the coffee shop experience at least threefold, so take my word for it. I saw a King of Pops case near the register but since it was a chilly fall evening, I settled for a green tea latte and a Malvi Raspberry Hibiscus marshmallow. I paid and was told my drink would be brought out to me. I don’t honestly remember what AT got, ha! Anyway, it took probably 10 minutes or so for my drink to come out, so while it was not immediate, it didn’t take forever either. That night, there were lots of people at LOATH, so I understood the slight delay. The thing that I didn’t understand all the way was the lukewarm temperature of my latte. The flavor was good(if a tad too sweet) but the temperature of the entire beverage was not even nearing hot. I sipped my drink as soon as I got it, to make sure I could enjoy the foamy milk on top, so it’s not like I just let the mug sit out to cool. I was slightly disappointed but everyone else enjoyed their drinks. Trevor gave me a small lesson on Chemex coffee, which was really interesting, and he said LOATH served up a good pourover. The marshmallow was divine, possibly the very best that I have ever tasted. Thinking about the Malvi marshmallow today just got me tweeting the company to see where else I can pick up their confectionaries locally. My experience with my drink really garnered 3 stars but because of my great company, everyone else’s satisfaction with their orders, and the warm and cushy environment, I’m going to bump up my rating to 4 stars and chalk up the barely warm latte to a fluke.

I have to say that so far this is my favorite coffee shop. Everything about it is perfect. The shop itself is actually a house and because of it the atmosphere feels so warm and cozy inside, great place to catch up with my best friend after an awesome movie we watched. The staff was super friendly and attentive. For drinks I got the Vanilla Chai Freeze and my friend got a cold brewed iced coffee with no sugar, they were both delicious and so refreshing on such a hot day, afterwards we decided to share a Samoa freeze on our way to lunch and it was so good, my favorite drink that day. The shop is super popular around the area and it got so busy around the time we were leaving. All in all definitely one of the best coffee shops I have visited, if you are around the area this place is a must for coffee lovers.

Oh what a cute place in downtown Roswell! I needed to find a coffee house for a meeting and came across Land of a Thousand Hills on Unilocal.I was a little worried about the size of this business due to typical coffee houses filling up pretty quickly. When I pulled up I found that this coffee shop is housed in a quaint little house with parking in the back. Upon entering you walk directly to the counter. It was 12:30 on a Thursday and I was starving! When I had read previous reviews I saw that they had food options. When I arrived I found that this was not entirely true on this day. The only food options were plain bagels, a few muffins, and croissants. I opted for a Chai Tea Latte and a turkey and cheese croissant. The latte was very, very good! The croissant was also really good, but I could have probably had two due to not being quite satisfied after the first. The staff was super nice and the interior was really very cute! I think they also may have a room in the back due to seeing some people walk out from it. I didn’t check though, which I should have! I will definitely be back!

Cozy little spot perched on a knoll over looking Roswell Road. Pour a nice cap, without too much foam and the default roast is rounded and well-balanced. The patio and outside area is impossibly large for such a small spot, which makes up for the challenged parking. Much better to be surrounded by grass rather than asphalt. But as a result you might find yourself needing to park at the neighboring church, which is OK most of the time. Just be aware that Sunday until 2pm and Wednesday evenings are off limits for that purpose.

I think I’m realizing I’m not a coffee drinker. The last few places that I’ve gotten a mocha(including this one), I was not very impressed. Coffee enthusiasts might enjoy the bitter taste(and caffeine) but my taste buds(and nerves) are not accustomed to such. The«ambiance» is bright. There are many seats, including 2 comfortable couches. There is only one restroom. I enjoyed the music and the volume was at a level where one can still hear nearby conversations. Quality of customer service is average. I came 40 minutes before closing on a Sunday and I got the impression that the cashier had mentally checked out. He was nice in bringing my drink though. There’s a small parking lot in the back. A sign up up front lets patrons know when they CAN park in the bigger lot in front of the church next door. All in all, this was another adventure to scope out a new coffee shop, more so for the ambiance(place to read) than the actual caffeinated drink. I would not go out of my way to come here.

Been wanting to try this place for a long time! LOVE it. Parked across the street at the church because the parking lot is tiny. Walked in and was like, «Wow, cool!» It gave me this house vibe where everyone can just come hang out and feel like home. There was a lot of diversity as far as the people who go there go: all ages, all genders, all walks of life. I love all the posters and the sofas. There are different areas you can sit in. The baristas are super cool and answered all my questions without judging me for not knowing what I want. I was so impressed, I even forgot to use my 10% off coupon from Unilocal! I was in the mood for just simple coffee and the iced toddy tasted amazing. If you are a big black coffee fan and like to try different types, I would highly recommend this. My friend got a chilled samoan. YUM! I tried a couple sips and it tastes exactly like the cookie! I definitely want to come back here and try more drinks and have good, in the moment, conversations.
