In general I like this market — it’s well merchandised, and I like the overall booth layout. However, if you’re looking for antiques you may be disappointed as the quality of the items offered are for the most part newer, and in some cases«decorative» meaning they may look old but really aren’t. I do think the staff is very responsive and the customer service very good so that’s a plus — I think they needed to fill the booth space so you kind of get what you get.

Used to be better. Haven’t been here in years and everything is either really outdated or really expensive. They need to update like some of the other antique markets have.

Love this place! It’s so much fun to browse around the vendor booths and see such a variety of cool, unique things. I’ve found some fantastic deals on really nice things and great gifts for some of my collector-type friends and family. I love that there is no «flea market» type junk. Most everything is antique or vintage or decorator or unique.

Full disclosure upfront: I am not a big antique person, so I am not the target demographic for this place. I have lived in the Roswell area for several months, and have somehow avoided going into this ubiquitous stop. That’s how I’m not into antiquing I am. Still, I recently had a friend visiting from out of state, and she wanted to pop in and see what she could see. I went along and… Well, I wasn’t exactly kicking myself for not stopping in sooner. Generally, when I think of antiques, I think of older, expensive/nice things that people might actually want. This place really felt more like a Goodwill, in that I was looking through piles of old records and books that were in shabby condition, things that people have probably discarded during moves because they didn’t want them anymore. They were also pretty overpriced. Old, dirty records and jackets that had not been preserved very well were going for anywhere from $ 9-$ 12 each. Books are a bit more reasonable, but you’re still better off at a secondhand bookstore. You’re not going to find any valuable first editions here, I don’t think, although I did get a kick out of a children’s book called«Mrs. Kennedy Goes Abroad.» Really cute sketches of Jackie with a forward by John Kenneth Galbraith. It might have been a first edition, I didn’t check. A good place to kill time if you’re waiting for a table at one of the fantastic restaurants within walking distance, but not particularly noteworthy on its own.

I am very disappointed to see the reviews about the staff since I am a vendor their my self who don’t work the front desk but have notice the same experience .Word to the wise if you are not a friendly person and can’t handle the stress of the front desk you may want to give up customer service because being kind and friendly is the key to success not only for you’re self but for others who owns booth in this establishment.

The merchandise is only as good as what the people who rent the booths, sell. As such, you’ll find a mishmash of items: some collectible, some cutesy nothings. Whenever I meet friends for lunch in old Roswell, I arrive early, to poke around in this shop. Last time, one of the vendors had a terrific sale on Roseville pottery — which I collect — so I walked out smiling, with two well-priced vases. In the past I’ve bought things for my yard(new, but nice), and some cheap but cool retro-looking jewelry. There’s a talented portrait artist based in this shop, so if you’re hunting around for a picture over the mantle, check this guy out! His prices are very competitive.

What’s not to love about downtown Roswell? While shopping and dinning the other day we stopped in to take a look. Not a huge antique fan, but really enjoyed myself here. I was pleasantly surprised by how many of the antique items I loved and to see a variety on other«non antique» around the store. It was a great mixture and unexpected.

It is pretty pricey and the staff are unfriendly. Definitely DON’T expect anyone to acknowledge you if you walk through their doors.

You know, I like antique stores, but this one just doesnt seem to be «antique enough». I almost feel like they are re sellers for old junk, like, how is a university of Alabama stand, that sells cuff links, antiques? I just dont get it. I am happy that i can take my girlfriend here, she likes finding things she can use on her blog. I dunno, I dont hate it, but i woudnt really call it an antique store if the stuff they have on display arent really antiques all the time.

I like the Canton Antique Market. The store acts as the anchor for Canton Street and their restaurants so parking here can sometimes be tricky. The bank around the corner is a good bet on the weekends. Has 80+ dealer stalls and each has their own style or specialty. Sometimes I find nothing, sometimes I find a lot of goodness. It depends. Good variety of stuff and a nice way to spend an hour or two. Clean, friendly and nicely run.

I like this place, and I don’t like this place. I like the booths, and I can find some cool stuff for my home, sometimes at really good prices. I don’t like the staff. I find them frustratingly rude, and on three separate occasions they have made mistakes with my bill — and I never receive an apology. I keep coming back because I am a sucker for the hunt, but I don’t go as often as I would if the staff had better social skills.

Canton Street Antique Market is one of many great options for antique shopping in Roswell. I particularly like the location of this shop — smack in the middle of quaint downtown Roswell. There is ample parking, and the shop is HUGE. It is a just-when-you-think-it-ends-another-room-opens-up sort of place. The prices are across the map and vary according to individual dealers’ tastes, but I have noticed that, on the average, the items are reasonably priced. I love to do Christmas and birthday shopping here. They also have an assortment of outdoor/garden sculptures and decorations, if you are interested in that. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Roswell!
