This place has cock roaches all over the place. I found one in my soup. It made me sick. Owner offered me another cup of soup, is he kidding me? Then when I went to use the bathroom there was cock roach spray bottles every where. I thought it was a Greek place, now I know it is Turkish /Syrian cuisine. They hate us jews. They rent out a restaurant in a Jewish community to profit off us all the while they hate us. When I refuse to pay the check the owner says ahh… typical jew. Plus he urinates in the kitchen when it’s busy in the soup pots. I caught him n called board of health! !!

From the minute you are seated in this cozy, warm restaurant you are aware that you are in a family owned and operated Turkish restaurant. The silverware is spotless, the tables are neat, and you are greeted by a friendly and polite waiter/waitress. Authentic and varied Turkish food, freshly prepared and served in ample portions. My wife and I love this gem! So much better than our original go-to Turkish restaurant, Chicken Kebab on Mineola/Willis Ave!

I followed Shoban from Chicken Kebab to his own restaurant. A family run place, Shoban’s wife makes the best red lentil soup & Baklava I’ve ever tasted in my life. The kabobs are tender & well seasoned, the hummus is fresh and not oily like so many other places. Everything on the menu is delicious and the owner will even work with you off-menu if you have special dietary needs. The whole staff is kind and efficient. The restaurant is clean and bright. This is a family who started with very little and have created a business that reflects respect and quality that you will appreciate. The prices are very reasonable, too!

Very dependable and fresh Turkish. Love the salad with chicken gyro– suggest asking for the gyro to be cooked well done. Good lentil soup too. They deliver, promptly. Enjoy

Great friendly atmosphere in an unassuming Turkish restaurant in old Roslyn. We were greater and seated quickly in the small 10 table dining area. The owner is very nice and offered suggestions to us. Good was well portioned and priced. We had lemon soup, lentil soup, gyro salad and a sandwich. They offer a limited selection of wine and beer as well. I would recommend for sit down and takeout or catering.

Wow. I had the Beef Kebab Lunch. The cubes of beef were so tender and cooked medium-well. Perfection!

Great food and service! The prices are reasonable. Their portions are large so an appetizer is not necessary unless you’re starving. I highly recommend this place to anyone craving Mediterranean cuisine.

This is a great addition to Roslyn and the surrounding towns. It’s cheap and the food is decent. The chicken was well seasoned and well cooked, which is not something to take for granted. I got the shish kebab«meal» which I would not recommend. It was just chicken on a bed of white rice. However, my moms Greek salad was delicious and my dads pita was tasty. Would highly recommend as a quick easy and decently healthy alternative to worn out take out options.

Found this place due to the graces of Unilocal during a day trip. Presently surprised on how clean and good the food here was. I guess the saying don’t judge a book by it’s cover applies here but the exterior made me a bit nervous as to what we were about to experience. Food was good, and filling. Our meal was served with a salad and bread which exceeded my expectations. The only thing I could give fair warning about was the kitchen staff literally stared at us the whole time, it was borderline awkward. I couldn’t figure it out if they thought they knew me, you know when you stare at people like that. Totally creeped me out but didn’t stop me from chomping down on my kebab. We did hightail it out of there though once we finished. Oh, and what’s with places not honoring lunch menus on Sundays? Overall, solid stop — I would go again if for some reason I ended up in that area for some reason.

Great food, and very fast delivery. Very pricey for lunch, but I still end up ordering from there a lot, because the food I get is always awesome. Highly recommend the chicken gyro salad.

Just had the worst experience here. The person who took my order didn’t understand what I wanted which was okay. I just wanted a regular gyro(lettuce tomato taziki) and fries which is what I ordered. The order was wrong first of all which they attempted to fix. I received a cold gyro with a salad with dressing on top of it with carrots and no flavor at all. To make it worse, one of the cooks was standing there eating my fries behind the counter. Disgusting, So unprofessional, and disappointing since all I wanted during my break at the hospital was a good hot meal. Never again will I go here.

So we come into Roslyn Village from NYC for the day. We’re hungry. Looks like we have a choice of two extremes… pizza or ridiculously overpriced fancy-pants(or so they see themselves) eateries. Thank goodness we walk a little bit further down the block and discover this wonderful place! My wife and I loved the food(I had the salmon entrée and the red lentil soup and my wife had the chicken kebab dish), and the prices were MORE than reasonable for the quality. The owner/manager seemed like a really good guy who cared about his place. No, it ain’t «fancy-pants». But it’s intimate and friendly, and the Greek food served sure hit the spot!

Good option for a quick stop on our way from LI to New York. The place is clean and the food is good, nothing fancy or fantastic. I’ve ordered a greek salad with falafel. The salad had cabbage and lettuce which came as a surprise to me(never seen a greek salad with greens), but let’s remember this is a Turkish place :-D My husband ordered the Turkish salad with doner kebab. The meat was good but the salad was basically tomato and feta cheese. The complimentary pitta bread and tahini was nice!

Great for delivery food is always consistent and good. I did experience one time where delivery took an extended period of time. However, this seems to have been an aberration.

Great little Mediterranean place in Old Roslyn for your standard gyro/kebab fare. Apparently the owner is formerly of Chicken Kebab of Willis Ave., in Roslyn, and you can tell with the food. Very friendly service, food is excellent. Prices to be expected for Roslyn. Will be a frequent lunch spot for me.

This place is great! Order delivery from here all the time. One large salad is enough for 2 people(you’ll still have leftovers for later). The food is great and the people are nice. Good service, good place, good food.

Shish kebab grill is a small friendly restaurant with delicious food. Everything is homemade and fresh and reasonably priced. Both the lentil and chicken lemon soups were great and the lamb kebab was very tasty. I’m looking forward to going back to try out more from the very extensive menu.
