Surewest has the very worst customer service of any telecommunications company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with… and I have dealt with plenty. Wish I could cancel but my husband signed a 2 year contract.

We have had SureWest for a while now, after escaping a previous provider who used to have a sort of monopoly in our neighborhood. Since making the move, we have only lost internet service once when someone hit one of their supply junctions(?) and even then we only lost service for a couple of hours late at night and were given a credit without asking for one and it was much more than I would have even thought of asking for given the situation and how long we were out of internet service. Cable services have been good, with the only exception being our DVR has had to be reset a couple of times from their end for whatever technical reason. However, each time we called in to handle the issue, customer service was on point and very helpful. The only complaint I have at this time is the cost of services have become significant since they joined up with CCI and of course that was right about the time our discounted rates expired. I will probably be contacting them in the coming week to see if there are package deals for existing customers since another friend did so and was able to keep her same services and her bill went down by almost half. All in all would recommend them to a friend as a valid option for internet and cable services, especially since their customer service has been great to date. I am still waiting to see(especially after reading other reviews) how things look in the coming months with as their«growing pains» and kinks from their merger with CCI subside.

I would NEVER recommend Surewest to anyone!!! I originally signed up with Surewest because it was the only service provider in the area. I have a few major issues with Surewest. First of all the internet service is very shoddy, I live in a one bedroom apartment and the signal won’t reach from my bedroom to my living room. If I am in a farther area of my living room the internet signal shuts off. Then when I called to transfer service to my new place(since I am in a 1 year contract) they told me that 1. surewest doesn’t offer service there, 2. They will gladly charge me a 200 dollar early termination fee regardless of he fact that they don’t offer there. The only way I can get out of the fee is to convince the new tenants of the apartment to sign up for surewest. Why would I convince some poor people to be stuck with your crappy service and your ridiculous termination policies. If you have a choice DON’T pick surewest.
