I always feel so uncomfortable coming here. The workers always seem so aggravated to make you your sandwich. The first time I came here there was a customer before me who was being so rude to the young lady making her sandwich. So I just assumed that the employee was just in a bad mood after that. Working in the fast food business a few years ago and knowing what its like to serve customers who have entitlement issues, I felt bad for the employee. So I personally left her a tip. I didn’t get a «thank you» or a «have a nice day» as I left the restaurant or at anytime that I was there for that matter. But I didn’t really mind. Everyone has bad days. However every time I returned after it was the same rude service. Especially from the owner. It feels so unwelcoming, like they don’t even want you there. When the employees asks me «Is the sandwich for here or to go?» I always respond with«to go.»

Mediocre sandwich and they don’t make Flatizzas at this location. Damn, the kid wanted one and this was the junky meal he chose. Oh well, good lesson in flexibility as well as passive aggressive behavior(the workers here were oddly morose, like we had just walked in on some crazy dispute and they were just waiting for us to leave) nice. No thanks, I’m good. Subway at the Brickyard(Foothills & Baseline) shreds over this disappointment.

I went there twice for a tuna on italian. The first time I went, the bread was stale, I cauked it up to a mishap because Subway always makes their bread fresh. It’s been about a month, tried it again, tuna on italian. This time the girl says, do you want it heated before she even got the bread. Humm… strange, generally they ask after they start making it and before the veggies. No, cold. She made my sandwich, I get home and the bread is stale again. I should have taken it back, but as other customers have commented, the owner does not have any customer service skills, so I just threw it away and won’t go back.

I will never return here again. I came here at the beginning of August when I was 9 months pregnant and about to pop. The sandwich I got was your typical subway sandwich(light on the meat, cheese, mayo… pretty much every topping but that is both typical and expected from Subway). At the register I also asked for a large cup for ice water since I could not drink soda while pregnant. The woman behind the register charged me FULLPRICE! I complained about this stating that I was just going to get ice and tap water, and while I don’t mind paying 25 – 50 cents to cover the cost of the actual cup(and I’m no expert, but I doubt they even cost that much) I shouldn’t have to pay for a product(the soda) that I am not going to consume. To make matters worse, they didn’t even offer a water cup at all to me(some restaurants have special cups just for water). Instead, I got attitude from the person behind the counter. And so I left… being 9 months pregnant, in the heat of the summer, with a crappy sandwich and no water. Stingy bastards! Now, if we want sandwiches, we go next door to Raley’s deli. Close to the same price, way better product, and they don’t care if you ask for ice water :-)

They really seem to skimp on the meat. I got the pastrami and it was cold. They took out of toaster too soon. Expensive unless you have a coupon. Basically not worth the money, you can do much better with your 5 bucks or so. This Subway is Iranian owned I believe.

I only went here because I was in the area, but now I know to avoid it. When I walked in, the only employee ignored me and continued to restock the meat in the containers(it was almost midday, so shouldn’t that have been done before the place opened?). All the lids were strewn over the containers and he didn’t seem to know where anything was(and removing the lids and placing them elsewhere wasn’t an option?). After a couple of minutes, I started to order and then he walked off to the back room and came back a minute later and grunted at me «whadda you want?». I asked for a veggie sandwich and instead of asking if I wanted any cheese or sauce, he went straight for the veggies. I asked for cheese and sauce and he gave me this quizzical look like«what, you want this on your sandwich?». The only good things I can say is that he gave me double the amount of cheese and loaded up my sandwich with a lot of veggies. Judging by the other reviews, I’m guessing that this fellow was the rude/inattentive/unenthusiastic manager. FYI, Subway’s website says this place is on Baseline road, but it isn’t. They have the correct address, but the arrow pointing to it is on the wrong street.

I agree with the lack of service at this location. Yes, they do skimp on the meat. When I complained to Subway Headquarters, they forwarded it on to the owner of the store and he implied that I was lying. I didn’t appreciate it and I will never go to this location again!

Had the free breakfast sandwich today with little expectations and after eating it, those low expectations still weren’t fullfilled. Can’t really complain though(it’s free). I live right next door to this location, but I still find myself only coming here if I have to. They usually skimp on the meat and veggies and their service… let’s just say gas station attendants have more enthusiasm than the workers at this Subway. Subway in general is a solid 3 stars. Though this location lacks, it has made up an additional star simply for convenience.
