I used to love this place! The inside was decorated like you were in a small mexican village. The food was decent… not something to jump up and down about, but how can you screw up refried beans? It just closed when I tried to go there a month ago and something else is slated… i just hope they don’t lose that charm of the décor they had…

If you want taco bell quality food but served much slower and at higher prices, than Don Pablo’s is for you my friend! This place has all the charm of a chuck e’ cheeses with a south of the border flare. In case you didn’t pick up on the sarcasm, this place sucks.

Great atmosphere and friendly servers. The food was great. Only gave it 4 stars because they charged us extra for sour cream for our tacos. I would think that for tacos at a Mexican restaurant they could give complimentary sour cream.

sadly… giving this place a one star. chips and salsa are some of the best around… best chips anywhere and salsa pretty darn good. The food is chain food and is what it is, but tortillia soup is some of best i have had, and like thay they publish calories! service no… no no no. place was almost empty on a sat night 7 – 8 o clock… couldnt figure out why. well… maybe the service… once food showed, never saw waitress again until bill… abt 35 min later. saw her walk past many times. given the bottomless bowl soup was one bowl… could see people getting torqued off. if u like the chips and salsa, better get there soon, as i cant assume they will be around much longer. had some good don pablo times in the past… but as they say, you cant go back… and i wont.

Service is great here on a weeknight, can be a little slow on the weekends when it’s very busy, I love the food and all the free chips and salsa. The roseville location is by far my favorite.

I give it 2 stars only because our server was prompt and polite. Although he should be glad to see us as there was only one other table taken in the place. School cafeteria quality food at best. Not fresh salsa as mentioned in other post. Ok if you don’t want authentic or flavorful anything. PS burning lips does not equal flavor.

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away … It is a period of civil war. Rebel spiceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Corporate Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret recipes to Don Pablo’s ultimate weapon, the Speedy Lunch, a lunch offering with enough power to feed an entire person. Pursued by Don Pablo’s sinister agents, Princess Tequilla races home aboard her spiceship, custodian of the stolen recipe that can feed her people and restore flavor to the galaxy… [sigh] If only it was this exciting in person. A quick lunch of forgettable tacos, friendly service, and tired décor. Save us Obi Wan Frijole … you’re our only hope.

There is no one here! Yet, the waitress checked on me once! Food was okay, nothing special. With all the great dining options in the area, I won’t be going back(obviously many people feel this way).

How a place can go from being a «great experience» I felt passionate enough to write the company about to a place I will NEVER go to again is just sad! This place gets 1 star only because you have to give them something! On this, our third trip, we were hoping to make up for a bad lunch experience we had with a waitress named«Destiny» who said it was part of her «process» to drag a tray jack across the floor as we were eating! The food for the lunch special was bland and not hot enough! I thought after talking to the incorporate office, they would fix things! This time we sadly had Destiny again as a waitress, and she was the storm cloud over our whole dinner. The food, while it came out fast, was bland and not hot enough! The Pulled Pork Taco I raved about in my first review were dry, bland and not even seasoned! They were happy serving someone they knew was a chef food that was not hot and a torn tortilla! This place has given up! The GM Ehrick Holland was there, and was all over our table. He tried, but the negatives of the food out weighted anything he could do! Even the Margarita’s were not as good! The beans were right out of a can and tasted that way! The rice was tasteless! They sent platter of dips that had not flavor and fake avocado dip that tasted off! And to Charlene R. I hate to brake it to you, girl, but that salsa is not at all fresh! As a chef, I was insulted and as a customer it was disappointed! It’s no wonder this place is not busy! Over all, I am so glad we did not have to pay for that meal and this is one of the only times I have not tipped a waitress but we will NEVER go back! (Oh yeah, and it’s funny to me that given that on Top Chef Texas, they took a North Carolina Chef to task about flour tortillas being used in his enchiladas, that is how they are served at this restaurant! I grew up on Tex Mex food, and we never make them they way!) Authentic, indeed! smh

The salsa is excellent and made fresh daily. Tortillas are also made fresh vs. the store bought in other Mexican restaurants. Fajitas are fantastic as are their tenderloin tacos with black bean salsa. The restaurant atmosphere is pretty loud. Service is great. One additional comment. It is ALWAYSCOLD in here. I’ve been tempted to bring in a blanket.

This is RIGHT by my house, and although I have lived here a year I’ve only been twice. We will go more because we’ve discovered the special on Monday is ten dollar AYCE fajitas. So Tim LOVES fajitas, and has a thing for anything allyoucaneat-and combined with the new baby that makes wanting to make life simple a new feat… I think we will be here more often than in the past. I’m not a huge fajita fan, so a cup of tortilla soup and some chips and salsa keep me(and our check!) happy as well.

Ehhhh. It’s Mexican food. It’s not very authentic, it’s just comforting. I don’t know why I keep trying to fool myself with these chain restaurants! Everything is frozen, pre-prepped, and most of all, bland. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy my meal, or the huge beer I had with it so much, it’s just that I’ve had WAY better elsewhere. If you are there at any point in time between 6−8pm you will almost assuredly hear the most irritating birthday song you have ever heard. Can someone please tell me why places still feel the need to do this archaic and irritating singing?

Don Pablo’s is definitely not my choice Mexican restaurant by any means. However, for a chain restaurant, it’s not bad. The service is typically good, and I don’t think I’ve ever really had to wait for a table at this location. I guess that could be a good or a bad sign… As far as food goes, it’s pretty basic Mexican food — nothing outlandish or special on the menu. Nothing really«catches» my eye when I go here; however, their white queso is very good. Overall, the spice level leaves a lot to be desired, but if you’re not a fan of spice, it’ll be a great place. It’s good for a quick lunch, but I wouldn’t make a night of it.

I gave this place a 3 star rating but on second thought will give an extra ½. On a Friday night after work, my friends and I decided to try Mexican food and it wasn’t hard for us to find a restaurant in the area. I am new to the cities but my friends have been here for a while now and have tried Don Pablo’s before. We went for a late dinner so the place had empty tables and the waitress was really quick and got us our 1st round of beers within a few minutes of ordering them. I ordered the cheese quesadillas, which were delicious except for the fact that they became soggy within 10 minutes. I don’t remember what my friends ordered but they all seemed happy with their food. The service was great and everything was brought to our table within reasonable amount of time. Will definitely visit them again.

I’ve tried to give this place a try thre times. I think in the future, I’m only going to happy hour this place. The ‘squeezeorita’ was pretty tasty I must say, but the service isn’t usually very good– or awkward. I can’t put my finger on it. The times I’ve had the food, my friend’s was frozen inside and my plate had way too much cheese. Now, I love my cheese, but this was nuts. The chips, salsa and drinks are good– but they ‘don’t do happy hour’ meaning there are no specials. Really?

I really really liked this place. The atmosphere was nice, a little cheesy, but the service was great. Overall, it was a fun place to come to. Great value too. They give you free chips and salsa, but make sure you don’t fill up on them! I ordered the all you can eat enchiladas for $ 8.99, and could barely finish my first plate! For the first plate, you get a cheese, beef and chicken enchilada, plus a side order and rice and beans. I would highly highly recommend the cornbread for your side order… sooooo sweet and tasty! We also ordered a side of guacamole which was mediocre. At least it was only $ 1.49! Our server was nice enough to ask me if I wanted a box for leftovers, even though it was supposedly an «all you can eat» thing. The cheese and chicken enchiladas were delicious!

We had a party of 8 for a pre-wedding celebration for my sister and some relatives from California. Our waiter was fantastic and I had my favorite Mama’s Skinny Enchiladas. Three healthier chicken enchiladas with awesome rice and black beans. They were fantastic as always. Had a couple of 23 oz Budweisers for 3 bucks a piece. So a fantastic meal for 16 bucks. Everyone in our party had a great time. Since my sister was getting married they also brought out a great Indian Fry Bread type desert. The atmosphere is fun and the place was packed on a Thursday night. Overall, a wonderful evening.
