Well, it only took 2 – 3 minutes for us to determine this was too much for us. There is a section for the groom. I looked at the wedding book and tuxedo rentals are easily $ 200+. My significant other took a look at the dresses and felt the same way. Oh well, we have other places to look at which are more reasonable.

The fitting part of my experience was fine, even though they don’t have bridesmaid dresses my size. One of the bridesmaids in the party tried on the dresses, and I ordered via the size chart. I had to order a dress with extra length because of my height. The rest of the wedding party dresses came in, but mine in error. Even though I had ordered an extra long dress, it did not come in that way. We found out it was the salesperson’s error. Also, as per the measurements on the sales chart, it did not match the brand of the dress. Since they had to re order my dress anyway, we ordered one size smaller. I am still waiting on my dress to come in. I called the shop three times and have emailed once. I have not heard back from the owner. I was told the dress was supposed to be in the first week of July, but it is still not here. If it is much later, the only thing that can salvage this arrangement is to waive alternations. If they do, I will update my score. UPDATE: Because the wrong dress was initially ordered by the shop, they are working with me on the alternations fee. This hasn’t happened yet, but I will keep the thread updated.

After going to six shops to select a bridal gown, my daughter ended up here because they carry they designer she wanted. Initially, we got amazing customer service and ordered a gown. Our remaining visits for fittings & alterations were disappointing. Sales associates were dressed inappropriately and not interested in assisting. Note to sales associates; we aren’t interested in seeing the girls! When we picked up the dress we questioned how it was stuffed into the bag. When we got it home the dress was wrinkled and the train had been pinned to a hanger. There were large pin holes in the train. After many conversations with the shop, the owner came to our house the morning of the wedding to steam the dress and remove the holes. Buyer beware!

I was a bridesmaid for a friend’s wedding in 2012, and both the wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses were purchased at Dena Marie Bridal. I was really happy with the experience. We set up an appointment ahead of time, and shopped for the wedding dress first. The attendant was attentive and helpful, while not being pushy and giving us enough space to deliberate on the dresses. I also appreciated the wide range of dresses available, at the price range my friend was looking for. The attendant did a good job of finding dresses that matched what my friend described for design and kept it at her price point. The main floor area has two walls of floor-to-ceiling mirrors and plenty of seating for the bridal entourage and was overall very spacious. As for the bridesmaid dress shopping, I was very impressed with the options there as well. Definitely head-and-shoulders above David’s Bridal. There were several designer lines in the mid– to low-price range(less than $ 200 was what we were looking for) that had a lot of variety in regards to shape, style and fabric type. I believe we also got a discount because the bride’s dress was purchased there(I think that’s pretty standard for bridal shops, but still worth mentioning). I chose to get my alterations done in-house as well. My dress was a halter neckline with bodice ruching and Tiffany chiffon overlay throughout. I had it hemmed, the halter straps taken up, the bust taken in and bra cups sewn in. So, fairly complicated. The quote I was given was reasonable, and workmanship was good quality. No complaints here! Overall, everything went very smoothly for all of us at Dena Marie Bridal. I was very grateful for the good service.

My experience with Dena Marie’s was absolutely ridiculous. Since I live on the east coast I was not able to come into the Roseville location. I called the store to see what my options were for locating & trying on a bridesmaid dress. After I had explained my situation to the woman on the phone, who by the way sounded annoyed and flustered, she put me on hold for 5 minutes. Another woman picked up the phone asking what I needed help with, again I explained my situation – during which she, on multiple occasions, talked to people coming in the store & other sales staff. This is not only rude & unprofessional but extremely frustration since she missed half of what I was explaining. Finally she reluctantly looked up some salons in my area that carried the designer. I went to one that was close by(about 25 minutes away) and the bridal store wasn’t even in business anymore! Since I was running out of time(they said they need 5+ months to order the dress in time for the wedding) I decided to take my own measurements & go with the suggested size on the website. Here’s problem number two: at the time I was 7 months pregnant, kinda hard to take a waist measurement. So once again I called back Dena Maries to ask their opinion since they’re the experts. I told them that my hips were a size 4 and my bust a size 14 and that I couldn’t measure my waist. Again the woman on the phone was constantly distracted, had to ask me the style number of the dress several times. She said she didn’t know what size to go with but her best guess was the 14 and get alterations(more money.). So I decided to take her«advice» and get 14. I had to repeat the size, style number, and color at least five times to her… it was like talking to the wall! I paid for the dress over the phone with my credit card and asked her to mail me a receipt. I got the receipt in the mail about 5 days later… and you guessed it… it was the wrong style dress. I had to call back and AGAIN endure her talking to other people while I’m explaining what happened. After speaking with the bride she also informed me that she had & sadly is still having issues with Dena Marie. Her other bridesmaids also experienced the same unprofessionalism & rudeness that I experienced but in the store. One of her bridesmaids is plus size and the consultants comments made her feel very self-conscious and embarrassed. The bride is still waiting on her dress, which she paid an extra rush fee(was supposed to have arrived 2 weeks ago), and her wedding is less than a month away. She has told me that she has expressed her frustrations & concerns to the store’s owner… who believe it or not… was the same woman I spoke with over the phone. Yikes! Steer clear of this place if you want good customer service and a stress free wedding!

Wow! I was slightly sketched out about this place because I’ve read a couple of not-so-great reviews. I shouldn’t have been! I called this morning(Monday) and asked if they had any afternoon appointments available. It’s always nice to check out wedding dresses when 95% of brides are at work. I got an appointment. When my mom and I arrived the two ladies at the front end were very welcoming and sweet. They ask that you take your shoes off since they are in a business that sells white dresses! I obliged and right away they had me looking through dresses. i loved that they didn’t have them in plastic bags. They let ME look at each and every dress and touch them with my mitts. The lady that helped me assured me that I could not try on too many dresses. She was extremely pleasant and accommodating. I’d take a dress off the rack and she would put it in the room for me. When trying on dresses she was not in the room with me. I am 100% good with that, as these things are a bit ridiculous to put on and require some funny moves while nude. Not a fan of my naked barbonkas in a stranger’s face. She did, however, stick around outside the room in case I requested her help. The ladies always reassured me that I could try on any dress I wanted – even if it was four sizes too small. I felt good and not judged. They gave me their real opinions too. I loved that they would tell me if they didn’t think it looked as good as other gowns. If I can afford the dress(Yep, probably found THEONE!) I will buy it here. They offer 10% off all the wedding party and accessories. Plus, if your party is more than 6 the groom gets a free tux rental. Legit. P. S. Never assume you can go into a bridal shop and try anything on without an appointment. It’s not gonna fly and is kind of rude to brides that went through the trouble to make an appointment.

I honestly think that David’s Bridal at any location is better than Dena Marie Bridal. Maybe it was just the day I went in, but I really felt like I was troubling the staff and they seemed annoyed that I wasn’t the appropriate size to try on their limited samples. It’s a beautiful shop, but I just had a bad experience there.

The service was fabulous. I went on Friday at 3:30 pm, I was the only one in the store. I didn’t feel rushed or pressured. They let me stand in front of the mirror with one dress on for as long as I wanted.. . it was great. I didn’t get that at other places. Other places tended to rush you along but I probably stood in this one dress for maybe an hour.(By the way, I think I found«the one»). So out of 4 total boutiques I’ve gone to, this one was tied with the best one and is FAR better than the other two. The correspondance for setting up appointments via email is great and quick. I would definitely recommend this place to friends. It has dresses ranging from approx $ 2000 and down so it gave me a wider range of dresses than other boutiques I had looked at that were approx $ 800 and less.
